Start Date: 23 July '10 (R1P2) ~ 7 Sep '10 (R2P2)
Thanks to everyone who gave me encouragement yesterday, I needed it. I'll admit to expecting big things out of HCG - probably too big for my body. My goal was to hit Onederland (~19lbs) by the end of P2/21 days; I can't do an extended P2 as I'm going on vacation August 23-28 and needed at least a little stabilization time.

But folks, I'm down 10 lbs from my pre-load. Day 16, less than a week before my last dose day. I'm just over 8 lbs away from Onederland and even though I've lost "slow" I *have* continued to lose. Last night was another pound released, hopefully forever.

I just want to encourage everyone just starting out, thinking about starting, or those in the middle who are doubting this is for them: this diet works. Even if you're only an average loser (.5/day), that's 10 lbs in three weeks that are gone. How many diets can all but guarentee that?

It's not easy. The meal plan requires discipline but best yet, it teaches you that discipline. Those days you overcome temptation are the building blocks to your future. As so many people have said before, you can do anything for three weeks - why not try to better yourself and your life?

Love you guys.

I am down .5 lbs this morning. Was really hoping that I could lose 1 lb a day, but I don't guess that's gonna happen for me. Grrrrr. Guess I'm an average loser.

Last night I was so tired. I hardly had the energy to feed my 2 year old dinner. Finally 8pm rolled around and I decided that it was time for us to go to bed. He sleeps with me a lot of nights, and usually he's pretty good, but last night he tossed and turned and was just all over me all night. So, needless to say I didn't rest very well, and Tuesdays are my super busy days at work. Ugh, 12 hours of cranky cranky people. And I'm one of them!

Going to eat my apple here soon and try to drink lots and lots of water. People normally stuff there faces with all kinds of yummy stuff here on Tuesdays. It's always been hard to me to resist, but I don't want to mess this up, so I know I can do it.

Congrats to all you losers!

You know what? That is more weight in 16 days than I have lost in 8 months pre HCG and I was trying my hardest! You will lose what your body will allow. Then go on...stabilize and come back for the next round. Remember that you will continue to lose inches and your body will continue to change through P3 and P4.

I am so glad you stuck to it!

Since you were on p3 for a couple of days and then went back to p2, are you experiencing hunger again?

Sassy, just want to say that was a great post.

Everyone is doing fantastic here an I love reading about all the losses and tips to each other.

Well today is VLC#2 for me and I am down 5 pounds this morning!
So that means I am already down from my preload weight. I am so excited and hoping that this means I can get down to 180 or 185 by the end of this round.

I have a 15 month old so I know how hard it can be sometimes!!! But, I'm wondering if you are taking your supplements? I take potassium 2-3 times per day, B-12 once or twice, and a multi-vitamin. I think these are very important while on protocol. Low potassium can cause low-energy, brain fog, etc. The B-12 also helps with energy. Hope you're feeling better today and don't give up!!!

Sassy ~ If you were exercising before starting protocol you can continue exercising in P2. Dr. Simeons just didn't want anyone to start a new exercise regime while in P2. If you are used to exercising then go for it. You can always go for a shorter time if you get tired.

Thank you so much for the encouragement Gracie! I'm not taking any supplements. I never have been a supplement taker, plus I was worried about what might be in them. I don't want ANYTHING to slow down my weight loss.

You're welcome!

But, you really should be taking supplements in P2 - you are eating very little and drinking tons of water therefore flushing out your vitamins and electrolytes!!! The supplements (potassium for sure) are recommended in "Pounds and Inches". I buy mine just at Wal-mart or the local grocery store - Potassium 99mg, B-12 500 mg, and Centrum Complete. I notice immediately if I don't take them - foggy thinking, tired, weak. I think you will feel much better if you supplement these. Either way, hope you feel better today!!!!

Well, I just might have to go get myself some supplements! I am actually feeling a little better today, so that good.

Mybigbutt, I heard Dawn say that peanut butter is a little too starchy for P3, but that all other nut butters are good.

Man I can't wait to be in P3!

Morning Releasers! Congrats to everyone for another day behind us and a great day forward!

Scale is back down to my low so I'm sitting at 18 pounds released in 21 vlcd. At this point I'm continuing on for at least another week. I did something this morning that I should have done yesterday when I was having my 'pity party for one' I tried on some clothes and can't believe what is too big and what fits and what just another pound or two will be perfect on me. I even tried on my smallest jeans and they fit fine. Another 2 pounds or so and they'll look better and I can wear a fitted top but wow, it seems like forever since I could wear them!

Here's todays menu for R1P2VLCD22:
Chili made with a whole can of fireroasted tomatoes,3.5 oz ground 96%,spices, sliced apple
Chicken breast fajitas made with sliced onions sauteed with my fave marinade, sliced strawberries and a BB frozen AF margarita. Ole!

I'm going to go back and review my ****** for my first week where I lost a ton of weight and see what I was eating. I'm thinking of going with that same menu for the next 4 days. Those were my largest losses (of course) and I want to see if they hold anything 'magic' to my body that will let it reduce these last few quickly and I can move on to P3 sooner than later. My head is 'all in' today so I want to strike while the moods hot!

PB and apples is one of the things I missed the most, besides ranch dressing and avocados! I'm hoping that fresh ground almond butter will hit the spot though. I start P3 tomorrow, and perhaps will add a bit of almond butter in over the weekend.

Peanuts are a legume and not a nut and are a starch. Sorry...not for P3

In my last round having grapefruit each day helped my losses. I would have it right before lunch each day and it never failed - I would have a nice loss the following day. Also, a tip I got last round that helped - try not to eat from dinner to lunch the next day. That gives your body a long time to burn the fat. I tried to keep it to 2 meals a day with no snacks for optimal losses. But, if I felt snacky I would break it up - my losses were always better when I just ate the two meals though.
