After a couple of of minuscule down days (.2), today is better (.6). So I am starting the day on a good note.

I am doing a short round and will be done w/ P2 next Wed and I really want to be in the low 150s by then (I am hoping for 152, but I could live with 153).

Anyway.... congrats to today's releasers and stabilizers!

As far as the lime goes, no it's not on protocol, but I've been using both lime and lemon juice in drinks or recipes with no problems. YMMV, but I would go ahead if you have it on hand, or just substitute lemon juice.

Yesterday was my first load day. I apologize in advance for those on VLCD. You may not want to read this
I thought I would look forward to it, but it was hard after eating clean for so long! It was discusting. Except for my bday dinner.

So how's this for loading? Bfast 1 1/2 Cinnemon Roll Grands, 2 eggs with bacon bits and jalepeno jack cheese and a latte.
Forgot to take my drops! So I did 30 min after eating.

Lunch was potato skins and homemade guacamole with chips and a coke. Ok, felt like I was going to throw up but kept going so I wouldn't be hungry on vlcd.

Dinner we went out for my 40th bday. It was phenomenal! I had lots of bread smothered in chipotle butter, two glasses of merlot, fillet mignon topped with crab meat and bernaise sauce served with scallops all on a bed of asparagus with cheesy jalapeño potatoes. Then for dessert, chocolate lava cake with ice cream, coffee and champage. Yumm!

I was stuffed and thought I would NOT want to eat today but I woke up at 4 am STARVING! The hungry where you think you are going to throw up! I took my drops and went back to bed. This makes me very concerned about being hungry on my VLCD.

I'll load up as much as I can and pray for the best tomorrow. I'm looking forward to eating clean, but really worried about being hungry after this mornings experience.

After my first VLCD I weighed in this morning with a 2 lb. loss!1 I would love to see the 140's by the end of P2 - 149 lbs is 13.6 away from where I am now, so that should be do-able. My ulitmate goal is at least 125, so I will definitely be doing at least 2 rounds.

My menu for today:

3.5 oz chicken cooked in Bragg's Amino's & water to make a broth, garlic & cilantro for flavor
shredded cabbage
1 Grissini
1 apple

3.5 oz. top round steak sauteed with onion
tomato (I'm sure I saw people using this in place of their fruit? If this is wrong can someone let me know?)
1 Grissini

Lemon "ice" - going to combine the juice of a lemon, the lemon zest, water, ice & stevia.

Water & tea. Right now I'm drinking water with ACV.

So glad to have this thread to come to every day!!!

Sounds good, and

I don't think you will have to worry about being hungry. Your drops hav not had a chance to work yet. Make sure you dose correctly as well as eat and you should be fine.

p2 curry chicken and spinach
3.5 ounces chicken
2 cups spinach
2 t. onion powder
1 garlic clove (minced)
1⁄2 cup chicken broth
1⁄4 t salt
1⁄4 t pepper
1 lime
1 T. curry powder
Mix chicken and all seasonings and 1⁄2 the lime and cook chicken through. Throw the spinach in for 1 minute and serve in a bowl and squeeze the other 1⁄2 of the lime.

Is the lime ok? Should I count that as my fruit? Or is it fine to sub out the lime for the lemon?

Also, I just wanted to say thanks again to everybody who has been answering my questions. This is such a nice forum! I have been on another low carb forum where the people are very rude and short with you, so this is such a nice change. Thanks! Thanks! Thanks!
Personally I use lime all the time with no problems, I make a lime cilantro marinade for my chicken.

Grilled steak in marinade, sauteed spinach with garlic, sliced apple frozen with salt Thanks to the post I read last night! Woohoo! can't wait to try this!
Grilled shrimp skewer, grilled asparagus, sliced strawberries frozen
Water, water and more water, unsweetened tea and maybe a club soda or two.

Oh my, my lunch is soooo good:

3.5 oz chicken cooked in water + Bragg's Amino's with some garlic
added in 3 c. shredded cabbage and a pinch of sea salt, black pepper
cook until cabbage is wilted
added some chopped cilantro and a dash of cayenne

It is spicy and delicious!!!

I hope this picture comes through. It's one I took this morning in some jean capris that I could barely get over my hips when I started P2. Now I can get them comfortably over my hips and comfortably buttoned and zipped! All I can say is YAY for hHCG!

Soonie, how many drops do you take each time? 3x already? I wonder if the drops are actually contributing to your hunger?? Hope lunch does the trick and your hunger goes away afterward.

On a different note - although I've done the protocol a few times, I made a HUGE mistake by thinking that ground chicken was fine. I did lose but the losses were slow, and it wasn't until I made a big batch for the upcoming week and saw the gelatin/fatty looking stuff in the bottom of the pan later that I realized what an idiot I was. I guess it's like having a baby - with the 2nd one you think you'll remember everything from the first time around but you forget little but very important things. So, to all the noobs, learn from my mistake. Stick to the breast meat.

Dawn - has anyone mentioned having a sticky of FAQ's? As has been said - some of the same questions are asked repeatedly and it would be a great tool for everyone. Some of us who have done it before can help give a list of questions and answers.
Deb has already done a thread about the P2. I don't think it is a sticky though. It should be!!! Good idea!! I am off going to work real soon--my shift starts in about an hour and I am outta here on vacation this weekend with no internet access til next Sun the 15th of Aug., so I am thinking someone else has to make the sticky, thank goodness!!

well said. ITA.

walkingwoman - Way to rock the protocol! I love reading your menus. Even though I'm not so ambitious, it reminds that I don't feel deprived in the slightest.

This works crazy fast. I can get into my fat-jeans-that-have-been-too-small-for-a-year now, and they'll fit fine in another week.

I'm also finding that I have hungry days and not so hungry days, though neither is extreme. Also, one minute I feel like I notice a big difference in my body, then the next I feel really fat. Kind of like my eyes going in and out of focus.

I think everyone has those days where you feel 'squishy fat'. Those are the days that the fat is bubbling up to the surface, just before it leaves your body. I love those days!

BTW, what part of CT are you in? I'm on the shoreline.

Way to go! That is so great! I feel the same way about my shorts that I posted about earlier. I know I said that I'd like to be 5- lbs thinner to wear them in public; although I didn't lose that much after that, I had them on last night and . I'm wearing them this weekend.

Didn't you just get back from vacation? Have fun!

Ok, a tip for new P3'ers. Don't add too much fat back at once. I had cream in my coffee, the omelet with ham & cheese, and some sour cream on my P2 chili. Trust me on this.

I'm in north central ct until the end of the month (currently job searching).

I can really tell some difference on my legs now. I seem to lose from the bottom up. I have much more definition on my lower legs, but mid-thigh and up is another matter. maybe a matter for round 2, lol.

That's exactly it. and the tube gets fatter at the top before it eventually empties.

Go get you some probiotics. They will help in a heartbeat. 1 pill before meals for about 3 days and then 1 per day. It works--trust me!!

And yes, that vacation was just a weekend and without kids. This one--there will be 9 of us and a week at the beach! I hope to post more pics! This time I will be more covered though

I got my drops in the mail! Yay! Took my 15 drops then 20 minutes later started my loading! Peanuts, boneless chicken wings, a big brownie (that I'm still working on), and then after work I'm going to have dinner at my mom's house, and going to a local amusement park with my whole family. My little brother is in town for 2 weeks before he leaves for Afghanistan. It's the first time for him to see my son who is almost 3 years old. Really looking forward to it. Plus my work gives me tons of free tickets to this place, so I get to look good treating everybody.
