Safeway and Fry's (Kroger, Ralphs in CA) has it in the vinegar section in my stores.

Actually they (mushrooms) aren't on P2 if you are following Dr. Simeon's protocol, but would be great for P3!

What are Bragg's amino acids, exactly? What's in it? What's it taste like? What do you use it for?

I made plans to go out to dinner on Saturday night, but now I'm thinking I want to suggest another activity instead. I don't want to stop losing now--it's never been so easy. Is there a good way to do it without getting into the "diet" thing? This is a guy that I met last spring who's back in the area for a few months. I want to reconnect with him (before phase 3), but I don't know him all that well.

I would suggest going somewhere you can order plain grilled chicken breast and an approved veggie. You should be fine with that, no need to give up your social life on P2!

Well this is day 1 of P3, (or is it day3?) Anyhow, I can eat fat today!!!! I just had my mocha malt, (oh coffee how I have missed you!), and 2 pieces of crispy bacon. And yes, that was me adding sea salt to my bacon, LOL. So yummy!

I weighed in at another all time low of 194.2 this morning! Praying I will stabilize well after adding these fats back in!

It's too late for tonight's dinner (shrimp and asparagus in jalapeño mustard) but I'd really hate for a simple mistake like this to ruin my protocol.
This is the only kind of shrimp I buy. I never know if I want a warm meal or a cold one. In fact...this is what I made last night for dinner. In the Simeons recipee thread, page 1, is a recipee from Metqa on a butter sauce. I made this last night (doubled the recipee so I could use the whole can of broth). Warmed up the shrimp...and just spooned a couple tablespoons of sauce on top. YUMMY.

Gonna take 1/2 or more of the sauce to work for my "right arm" (lol) today. This will be her 1st day of vlc. I want to her know that things do not have to be so PLAIN.

AND...sassy...I weigh the shrimp right to 3.5 also....cuz I figure I'll lose a tad bit of the weight when I ditch the tail...

First I've heard of it.

PL, check out the homeopathic drops of HCG, most of us use them and are having results as good or better than with the Rx.

Someone asked about Bragg's Amino Acids - it tastes like soy sauce, and like soy sauce, you have to be careful of the sodium level - very salty.

On a different note - although I've done the protocol a few times, I made a HUGE mistake by thinking that ground chicken was fine. I did lose but the losses were slow, and it wasn't until I made a big batch for the upcoming week and saw the gelatin/fatty looking stuff in the bottom of the pan later that I realized what an idiot I was. I guess it's like having a baby - with the 2nd one you think you'll remember everything from the first time around but you forget little but very important things. So, to all the noobs, learn from my mistake. Stick to the breast meat.

Dawn - has anyone mentioned having a sticky of FAQ's? As has been said - some of the same questions are asked repeatedly and it would be a great tool for everyone. Some of us who have done it before can help give a list of questions and answers.

I looked yesterday thinking it might be a nice alternative to ground beef.

11g Fat per serving.

Yeeeeeah, that one's staying FAR from my P2 menu....

I found ground chicken breast, it has far less fat than the ground chicken. Plain old ground chicken has the dark meat and skin ground in it.

This is what Gracie had suggested awhile back...and it was my 1st meal the 1st time I did P3. Melted the cheese on top and put 2 spoons of sc in!!!!

I use the ground turkey...I know it's not on protocol...but it never bothered me. I have an old fashioned meat grinder...and think I will run a few breasts thru it for the gal at work so she sticks to protocol. I'll let everyone know how that turns out.

I have used this too, but I really didn't like it, kinda dry. I still have 3 portions in the freezer so I figured I'd use it in chili or something.

Well today I am off to Reno again. and tomorrow and Saturday, LOL.. Today is work Friday is Hot August Nights, and Saturday Pick up kids from G-ma's

I released 2.5 this morning So i am down 23.5 pounds in all. Very happy with that. I called on my GF last night and she has not started the drops yet. She has a hard time giving up her nightly wine. I told her to switch it for seltzer and lemon(which she loves). She is trying to sych herself up for protocol.

There is no need to go without on the deodorant, unless you are totally opposed to it. I just used what I had, but as long as you use it sparingly you should be fine. I admit that I put up my Suave coco butter kind, but I am sure that with what little you would NEED it should be fine. I don't think you have to go au natural!!! Unless you like to! And as far as conditioner--I used VO5. Just make sure it has no oils or butters in the ingredients. I had to put up my almond oil/shea butter conditioner but used VO5 just fine.

So, for those who have been there, . . . . how hard are those transition days when you stop dosing but keep the low cal? I must have loaded well because the first days were not hard for me.

I'm looking forward to P3 too.

Don't forget - if you're using hhcg the wait is only 48 hours, not 72 hours. I can't remember which you are using but it's already been 48 hours right? If you're using hhcg you should start P3 today. If not, you will be eating 500 calories with no hcg in your system and going into starvation mode. I apologize if you're doing injections, I simply can't remember!!!! Either way, enjoy P3!!!!

I'm trying to put together a shopping list and a recipe book for whenever my dang drops finally show up. So, I'm going through the recipe thread and had a question on this one.

p2 curry chicken and spinach
3.5 ounces chicken
2 cups spinach
2 t. onion powder
1 garlic clove (minced)
1⁄2 cup chicken broth
1⁄4 t salt
1⁄4 t pepper
1 lime
1 T. curry powder
Mix chicken and all seasonings and 1⁄2 the lime and cook chicken through. Throw the spinach in for 1 minute and serve in a bowl and squeeze the other 1⁄2 of the lime.

Is the lime ok? Should I count that as my fruit? Or is it fine to sub out the lime for the lemon?

Also, I just wanted to say thanks again to everybody who has been answering my questions. This is such a nice forum! I have been on another low carb forum where the people are very rude and short with you, so this is such a nice change. Thanks! Thanks! Thanks!
