It is my understanding that shirataki noodles are okay for P3 and P4, but not for P2. It was stated that way in The HCG Diet Gourmet Cookbook by Tammy Skye, so I just accepted that it wasn't okay to do them for P2. I also know they are not on Simeons' list of foods allowed for P2, so I am planning on trying them when I get to P3 in July.

I have cooked with them before when I made sukiyaki, and plan to try the different varieties by ordering the "variety pack" from the manufacturer when I get there. Hope that helps.

Thank you so much for that info. Really helps me.

Some people love and do soups all the time others stall immediately. I would advise you to try it and see how your body reacts. But make sure you check the label for added sugar.

Thanks for taking the time to do this. I am starting HCG tomorrow with the load day which seems pretty easy or am I kidding myself?

I really could use the tips for after that!

On thing I learned from here dreamin that helped me load and helped me not gain an ounce on my load days was I did not eat junk on my load days but ate high fat, high protein, low carb to be prepared for my low calorie days....just what I did and helped my hunger these first few days...of course everyone is different, but I knew if I ate a bunch of carby, sugary junk I would start out with horrible cravings

Good luck...

I did the exact opposite and gained over six pounds. It tooks six days of great loses to get back to ground zero. You would think I'd learned, but did the same thing during a refeed weekend. Totally not worth it. I'm hoping to be smart enough to follow this advise next time! You'll be much happier if you do!!

Best of luck to you!!

I just ordered my HCG drops from a low carb store in Canada. They should be here in a week. I am nervous about the load days. I am at 140 now and don't want to go higher. Can you do the first 2 days without loading so much? I am tired of bingeing.

It is eye opening to see all the tips you ladies have given people here and the amazing success stories. It is going to be an exciting journey.

If you don't load properly, your first days or even weeks might not be as pleasant for you. You don't have to binge (just eat often), but I wish I had known to keep the carbs low during load. Next time around, I plan to do a low carb, high fat load and see if it goes better for me.

I was screaming hungry the whole first week, but part of that was that my dose was too low (am doing injections). I don't know if the homeopathic drops are any different, but I think the load works the same way for all of them. You will probably gain some, but it should come off quickly in the first week if you follow the protocol and VLCD properly.

Loading is critical. You have to load while the hcg gets into your system. Otherwise you will be hungry. Mark my words. I suggest loading to everyone. Not everyone wants to believe you have to do it for 2 days, but those who don't listen to me are always sorry after not loading. Please load at least those 2 days. It is part of the plan. I lose my load weight after 2 days of the low calorie diet. You will too!

Listen carefully to the last two gals. By all means load, but load low carb. I realize now it's not about giving yourself permission to binge on crap just for the sake of bingeing. It's about preparing your body to take full advantage of what HCG has to offer with the most pleasant ride.

Hi, this is my first post. I am 60 and have dieted on and off since I was 16, my weight had gone up and down all my life and now I was very overweight and nothing was working, not even fasting!! After researching the HCG diet I ordered my drops from Intermountain which were very reasonably priced, the postage to Australia was also very reasonable and I received them within 8 days of ordering. I went on the 40day protocol after 4 days the weight started to move and by the end of the first week had lost 5kg, which gave me the boost I needed to continue on. At 3 weeks I had lost 9 kilos and felt great! I was able to spend some time on the rebounder every day. At 6 weeks I had lost over 15kgs and looked and felt fantastic. My grandchildren were so proud of me. My daughter then started the protocol with her girlfriend and after 3 weeks they had both lost 10kgs. My daughters work friends started ordering HCG from intermountain and they are all very happy as they are seeing early results. I want to encourage anyone who has started the HCG diet to stick to it! Don't cheat and reap the rewards of sucessfully losing that unwanted weight!

Hi Ladies!!!

Okay...I'm confused. I read Dr. Simeon's original manuscript and it distinctly says to have the same four choices for dinner as you had for lunch. Now I'm reading that you should NOT have the same meal for lunch and dinner.

The four choices, from the lists provided, are:
3.5 oz lean protein
Vegetable
Fruit
Breadstick or Melba

Lunch and Dinner. A lot of people find better success mixing those choices up. Some people find it's simpler and successful to have the same thing day after day. You just need to find what works best for you.
