How fast did you notice...

...the inches part with HCG/Simeon's Protocol? I'm quite happily seeing the scale go down-down-down and am just curious when I'll see my body doing likewise. I took measurements and will re-evaluate at the end of R1P2 but did you generally see the loss of most of the inches in P2 or P3?

Sassy, I'm on R1VLCD17. I noticed my double chin was going away in the first week. As far as pounds go I haven't really lost like most but I can really tell the difference in my clothes. I can breathe again. Gracie said she didn't lose in P3 ( you're not supposed to) but def. lost some inches.

You'll see and feel the difference soon. You are doing great, stick with it.

I started VLCD1 last Tuesday and by Friday evening, I could already tell a significant difference in my face and my upper body was already starting to thin out. Very cool This week my stomach is shrinking and my upper arms are really toning up nicely

I noticed the difference immediately in P2. A week into it and I had to go down a size in jeans already. I was surprised to see how often I was losing inches too. Every few days I'd measure and see a difference. In P3 I didn't lose any weight or inches at all.

Wow I'd love to go down a jean size in a week! Honestly I'd like to just see the little bulge above my current pair to go away, but... I'm in the middle of VLCD4 and I know better than to expect miracles, but it'd be nice to see a reduction in my hips (always the last to go *sigh*) to get a smaller pair of jeans. I've got a pair now that barely come up my thighs - it's my goal (unrealistic or otherwise) to get them to shut by the end of R1P2/3.

Well, I am on VLCD11, down almost 10 net pounds and I am in the same clothes as before. They dont' seem to fit much differently either. I assume I am losing other places (like my face, maybe) but it's hard to tell. I know with other plans I had to lose 20 pounds before it was even noticeable.

This is what I am afraid of..............

I have lost nearly 8 pounds in 4 days and I can barely tell in my face and neck.

I need to start seeing some results and fast!!!

Okay Ladies, this seems to be a VERY NORMAL for almost everyone. I know it's been happening to me too. I have lost about 15 since my heaviest and I still am wearing the same pants and don't "feel" much of a difference. I know the ladies who have lost a ton would say to just keep pushing through. Eventually, your body will catch up with the scale or vise versa. Don't give up. I know all of us want immediate results. Just remember you are doing this for long term results and it's worth all of the work!! Don't give up.
If it wasn't a normal thing I would understand all of us feeling discouraged, but it is normal....so just keep going and going!!!

Thanks, kj2010. I know it will show eventually. I just didn't want everyone else to expect to lose a pant size in one week since I haven't.

Doesn't it feel awesome Kimberli????

I started Round 2 today and I just can't wait to see what size I'll be in by the end of August! It was so amazing to me how quickly my clothes became too big for me.

I have read that people often lose the inches in P3. No clue as I have not even had a VLCD in P2, but that is what I have read. I do know that sometimes it is not noticeable when you lose inches if you lose them evenly all over your body.

That is so awesome!!! I still remember when I first bought a small. I mean a small--never ever thought I would fit into one of those sizes!! I am amazed every day when I can wear stuff I never thought I would fit into!! I don't notice the inches after my P2s going down, only when I am in P2. But any which way they come down, I am thrilled they do!!!

Well, I had nothing to wear this morning so I tried on a top that was too snug for me before and now it fits!! Sweeeet! My pants are the same, but as long as something is improving I am stoked!

Sorry, I didn't realize this was for the HCG....I think things are a little different with this particular WOE.
Good luck to everyone though!
I'll probably end up trying it once a I lose quite a bit more weight just doing LC. I have a long way to go. :-)

I took measurements on VLCD1 and am waiting for my losses to go down or diminish before re-measuring myself. This morning I noticed my jeans may be a little looser but I've still got a little belly ring going so I'm hoping to get my goal jeans (size 15 juniors from Target) at least over my hips by the end of R1P2 - being able to button them would be excellent!!

I seem to be losing in very odd places...........

My face, neck and shoulder area (around collar bones) are noticeably thinner looking.

My stomach area (waist and stomach, upper hip area), my jeans are looser in the waist.......

But OMG my legs are tight still on my jeans. Almost tighter than before!! This is so weird...........

I wonder how long before I notice in my thighs, butt and calves and my biceps.

Seems like my torso is losing, but my appendages are not!?!?!?!?!

Also, is it ok for me to do the dry brushing technique? I stopped doing it prior to starting this. I figured it might help with circulation and removing toxins.

I tend to lose from the top down too, usually around my collar and upper torso before moving to my arms. My hips never seem to shrink, nor my thighs, which means when I do fit into those goal jeans of mine the joy will be all the sweeter!

I've lost from my face, neck and collar bones. My hands, ankles, and knees are noticably smaller. The rest of me, not so much. I usually need a good 20-25 pounds at this size to start losing sizes, then it's usually every 10-15 pounds to go down a size. I think it's just the way my body releases weight. My stomach, butt, and thighs are always last.

I wish I had been measuring below my belly button and above my hips - because that's where most of it has come off and it has reduced my clothing size with only 1/4 inch reduction in my waist. Definitely lost an inch or two from hips a 1/2 inch from bust.

My neck looks better too...bit of a turkey wobble going on so hope it tightens now.

I seem to be losing more in my upper body right now. I am fitting into smaller tops, but my pants are the same size (although a bit looser). Doesn't matter where I lose it though since I need to lose all over.

Well, I had bought a pair of size 16 khaki pants at Old Navy when I started this new job in April. They didn't fit and was going to take them back. I never did and they have been sitting in a bag in my closet since April.......

Fast forward to this morning. I tried on my size 18 khakis from Old navy and they are falling off my hips.........

Tried on the size 16 pair and they fit good in the waist and butt, but are still tight in the thighs. So i am definitely losing in the waist, stomach and hip area, but nothing so far on my legs or my arms.

So my shirts are getting looser every where EXCEPT the arm area..........

My pants are getting looser EXCEPT the legs.

Gawd, I have to lose so weird. It's not like I don't have abnormal fat in those places!! I probably have more there then I do in some other places.

It is weird how the weight comes off in different places I tried on a pair of pants this morning that on Friday would have been unacceptable and this morning they are hanging on me. How can that even be? just a few days and literally a few pounds and that much of a difference. I'm going to try on all the jeans I have in my closet tonight and see which are already too big, which fit now and which are 'to be wearable in a few pounds from now'. I'm excited

Wow, I have 2 closets full of clothes I guess I need to start trying off stuff before I can't wear it.

I love my clothes I purchased back in the 2003-2006 time frame when I lost all of my weight the first time on Atkins. i would love to be able to wear those clothes again!!!

Do it! Otherwise you'll think you've lost enough to wear that one favorite outfit and the reality is that it is now too big!!! Yippee! Great problem to have but a downer when you could have enjoyed it one last time on the way down the scale
