A couple HCG questions
1. On your loading days, you really force yourself to eat? Like the more the better? How about carbs? Does it matter if you eat carbs/sugar as long as you eat high fat?
2. What products do you use since you can't have anything w/ oil? What kind of shampoo, conditioner, hair products? I have been reading through the posts about HCG but there are so many pages of replies. Sometimes it is hard to find the exact answer w/ out spending hours reading. Thanks in advance for your help. I did read Pounds and Inches and I will read it again. I am really stoked to get on the HCG train! ![]() ![]() ![]()

I ate whatever I wanted on my load days.I had buffalo wings, bleu cheese,icecream,fries...I LOST over 5lbs loading
The body care is a problem for me...I have skin issues and use Aveeno Calming Cream to keep them at bay.NOTHING else works.I have not used it yet,but i'm not sure I can go 21 days w/o it.It says no oil but is not on the list.If you Google hhcg approved body products you can get a list.I know toms toothpaste is on the list,Crystal deodorant, and some Neutrogena products.

High fat is preferred for loading days, but you can eat carbs. If there are certain foods that you will miss for the duration, I suggest you eat them during your load days.
I didn't use any of my ointments, as they are vaseline based. I used a cinnamon toothpaste. I didn't change my soap, shampoo or conditioner. I lost 20 pounds in 24 days and stabilized well on P3. |

I read Gracies thread alot. She has a GREAT deal of knowledge of this protocol. And she has done amazing. And she is a sweet person too. Others may be just as knowledgeable but she is the one I go to if I have a question.

You can use vaseline. I believe that since it's petroleum based and not something the body can metabolize, it's fine to use.
This is as far as I know. |

I bought some Alba oil-free moisturizer at a health food store and it's fine for the protocol. One would think that it wouldn't be moisturizing since there were no oils like shea butter or the such, but really, it's great stuff. Now, it wasn't cheap, I paid $10.00 for it, not sure if I got taken or not, but I like the stuff. It has a nice smell and is very moisturizing. Prior to starting HCG, I had been tanning and had a great, dark tan going that I didn't want to fade to quickly, so I had to get something to use. I got Cornhusker's lotion, but that was a waste of money to me, it didn't really moisturize at all. I still use the same shampoos, conditioner, and hairspray, and I use Bare Essentials minerals.
I don't tan anymore, tried it once while on HCG, but I actually put on .2 pounds that next morning. I read that supposedly your body holds onto water because of either your skin being dried out trying to replenish, or if you burn it holds onto water because you swell a little. Either way, for me it was true. The gain was nothing I ate, because I have been 110% on plan since starting. I started 10 July 2010 with P1, then went into P2 on the 12th. It's the 23rd and I have lost almost 18 pounds in 12 days....can't complain!!! I'm on hHCG, by the way, VLCD12.
