Are all HCG drops created equal?

I just am wanting to know if the premixed homeopathic hcg drops are all the same strength?

What is this stuff, and what is it suppose to do? I'm always tend to shy away from anything that looks like a miracle for weight loss.

Thanks for the info!

Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) is a pregnancy hormone that is produced by the embryo soon after it is conceived. When produced during pregnancy, HCG is meant to help the corpus luteum intact. The corpus luteum, which is part of the ovary, is integral in maintaining production of the progesterone that is an important component of human pregnancy. In addition to preventing the disintegration of the corpus luteum, researchers believe that HCG provides pregnant women with extra immunity during pregnancy.

The high levels of HCG that are produced during pregnancy have no negative effects on the pregnant woman's body. In fact, doctors have used HCG for many years in order to help women experiencing hormonal issues or fertility problems. More recently, however, researchers have found that HCG shots can actually help the body burn more fat and can be used to aid in weight loss when combined with a healthy low calorie diet.

Several other positive side effects have also become associated with HCG therapy. These include:

•Increased energy without experience a sense of nervousness
•Clearer thought processes
•Improved sleep at night
•Feeling less irritable
While there are some potential negative side effects to HCG therapy, these are generally mild and are not very troublesome to most people. These include breast tenderness, headaches and edema.

Although HCG is associated with pregnancy, both men and women that are looking to get their weight under control can safely use it.(HCG) is a very safe all natural human hormone. It has been approved by the FDA for fertility and numerous other medical purposes, but the FDA has not approved HCG specifically for weight loss.

The rapid weight loss comes a daily dosage of HCG. The daily HCG dosage is required to reduce your appetite easily allowing you to follow a low calorie diet. The HCG will help you specifically burn abnormal fat storages, and reset your metabolism allowing you to burn more calories in the future. The low calorie diet is what directly activates the rapid weight loss. The HCG will make the diet easier, while directly burning abnormal fat storages for additional calories and nutrients.

Do you know what homeopathy is? Homeopathic medicines usually contain one drop of the substance with 1,000, 10,000 or more drops of water.

I seriously doubt that homeopathic HCG would have any effect on weight loss.

well, i must tell you - you are wrong in this assumption.

to answer the original question - no, not all hcg drops are created equal. usually, when one refers to "hcg drops", they are referring to the homeopathic drops. like with anything else, some brands are more reputable than others.

i can certainly say hcg worked well for me and so many others. i urge you to go check out the hcg threads in the 'other plans' section on this board to get a TON of more information.

Is the rx kind more effective than the homeopathic?

I have been following a few threads and the homeopathic drops certainly seem to work for many of you. Do the homeopathic drops ever NOT work (assuming the plan was followed)?

They do this in my doctor's practice and I am wondering if there is some reason to go that way that would be worth the greater cost.

the general consensus that i've seen is that the homeopathic drops/spray work every bit as well as the prescription injections.

hcg - it works

I did the shots and it really does work! I've tried many diets but hcg is the only one I was able to stay on, felt great, lost 25lbs, and am able to maintain between rounds.

I'll have to agree here.. I am on day 20 and am 20lbs down.
I feel great, and I know it's not just because of the low calories. I followed Low Cal months prior to this and would lose 1 pound and gain 2. I am Hypothyroid and nothing was working for me until I found HHCG.

There's a market for anything! I used RX for my first round, will use RX for the round I'm about to begin, but am considering spray HHCG for the round after that.

I just purchased Homeopathic HCG from a site that was recommended to me by my Endocrinologist and my Naturopathic Doctor.

I am going to give this a go and see if it will spark some weight loss.

I have every type of hormone issue humanly possible. Hoping that this will help to line things out.

i really don't know; maybe some feel more comfort in going with a prescription from their doctor.

it's just personal preference.

I don't know!! I went the cheapest route possible. I spent under $100 for my homeopathic hcg and lost 40 pounds!!! No need to go expensive.

I'll tell you my experience with my 3 rounds (now starting a 4th) of hcg. I started off with a brand of drops off of the internet (DIY HCG) and had barely no hunger--so much so that I completed a 63 day round!

Fast forward to my next round and I started with the Intermountain pellets and then switched to the Intermountain drops. I was STARVING for the first 10 days to the point of my boyfriend not wanting to be around me because I was SO miserable. It did start to get better around day 10 and I completed the 23 day cycle.

On to round 3 for me...I again used the Intermountain pellets and again had horrid hunger for the first 10 days. Even after the first ten days I was still quite hungry and only lasted 18 days (hence my crappy stabilization afterwards).

Now I'm starting my 4th round and I found real homeopathic hcg at our local apothecary/drugstore (called HCG 1234). I am finishing up my second day and have just about zero hunger! Why oh why didn't I try a different brand the last two times when I was SO miserable???

All this to say that I do think there are differences and just because the Intermountain clearly doesn't work for me does not mean it work for someone else's body. I'm just happy I found something that doesn't leave me wanting to gnaw my arm off (or even both of them!)

That thread was from a long time ago. I am not even sure what is available any more. I bought out the ones from Netrition as they were clearing out their stock. I bought the pellets this time, but maybe they still have the drops? I would definitely buy the Intermountain (and they have a website) as the others don't have any hcg in them. Try :

Thank you for the compliment. That picture is me at goal!! I am doing another round to get back there. I let tragic life events get in the way of my time after I was done and will be back there shortly!
