I just found it, plain as day:

Saccharin or other sweeteners may be used.

Why did I not see that in P&I before??

I love Diet Rite! Tangerine and Raspberry are my favorites, but I can't find it at any of my stores lately.

OMG, TAB! What a horrible drink that was!

I'm just using enough sweet-n-low to keep my yerba mate from being too bitter. I think I brew it a lot weaker than most of y'all here. I tried full strength the other day, and did notice the "ashtray" flavor.

I loved Tab! I remember when Diet Coke came out when I was in high school (probably dating myself here). The cafeteria carried both. And there were the "Tab" people (those of us walking around w/ our Tab can at lunch time) and the "DC" people.

Then in college, it was "Diet Pepsi" all the way. Then some time down the line I ended up choosing Diet Coke. Probably because it was more available and usually cheaper at the grocery store.

Woo Hoo!! TOM arrived on time this month so my plan is to start loading either Sunday or Monday! Can't wait! I'm addicted to this thread and enjoy reading how everyone is doing.

I REALLY hope this works for me. I need to lose between 30 - 40 lbs. I was able to maintain my weight for years at 123 - 125, but ideally my weight should be about 110 (I'd like to be on the lower range of my healthy BMI). The lowest I ever got as an adult was 116 and that was in my 20's with lots of exercise, so it will be interesting so see how low I can go. Especially since I am 47 and peri-menopausal

I would be ecstatic to lose 20 lbs. in my first round.

Cookie, I use low sodium chicken broth a lot, and I was releasing 1lb a day no problem.
It makes for some yummy chicken, cabbage soup.

Good Morning! Congrats to all of our Releasers! Everyone is doing so well!

Down another .5 for a total of 11 pounds in 8 vlcd. Today is R1P2VLCD9 and here's my menu:

Chicken breast marinated overnight in marinade I posted on the recipe thread with liquid smoke, etc. with diced cucumber in vinegar, strawberries, grissini

Grilled shrimp, steamed asparagus, sliced strawberries, grissini

I was buying fresh asparagus but it is now 5.00 a pound so no thanks! Safeway has 8 oz pkgs in steamer bags for 1.49 when you buy 4 at a time,a nd all you do is nuke them. Great deal and super easy if you don't want to use another cooking method.

Sassy, I use water all the time in place of oils if I'm cooking stovetop. I just add some fresh garlic to the water for some seasoning, let it simmer then add my veggie for a little while, add in my protein, put on the lid and let it finish cooking. On the GF grill, I grill the food for a minute or two, then lift the lid and spritz with my flavored vinegar. I bought some foodsafe spray bottles at my Walgreens and they are perfect for this. You can make your own flavorings this way dependending upon how adventurous you want to be you can add butter flavoring, liquid smoke, etc. to the water mixture.

here Ok Louisana in 1970's it was TAB, then out came DDrP, Then D7up
then DC
my mother would order a "flat" of glass quart bottles of TAB from "the coke guy" who stocked the coke machine at her work.

It is impossible to post single replies to everyone so I am sorry to not have done so in the past. But I must say wahoo!!!!!!!!! to you walkingwoman!!! You are doing incredibly well. And with such a great menu too. I have not seen anything out of place when you post them. Looking at your menus on P2 makes me wish I were in P2 again!! Your losses reflect your staying true to Dr S's plan. Good on ya!!!!!

Looks like everyone is on track today. Lots of good releases. Congrats!!

I am down .2 today, and I am good with that. I have one of those Tanita scales that also gives a body fat%, and that was a full 1% down today. I don't know how accurate that really is, but I think it really is down and that makes me happy

I am also wearing a pair of capri pants that I have not worn since the Summer of '06. Don't you just love going shopping in your own closet and getting to wear something new!! It is awesome.

Lunch today is a portion of the chili that I cooked last night. Super simple: 4% ground beef, a small amount of beef broth, canned diced tomatoes (nothing added, not even salt), chili powder, cayenne pepper, cumin, and a little ACV. -- Yummy

I am down 1 pound today for a net loss of 13. I am on VLCD17 or 18... I forget right now.

I think at the end of this round I am going to treat myself to one of those fancy scales with the body fat, etc.

Everyone is doing so well!

Walkingwoman, I hereby present you with the award for most creative meals! I love reading your menus.

R2P2VLCD1 commences! I gained 3.6 pounds loading, which is a LOT less than I gained last round. I gained almost 9 pounds last time loading!

Grilled chicken and romaine lettuce and granny smith apples for a few days now. I've got it all set and ready to go! I'm going for just a month this round.

BlueMonday, you must feel fantastic in your 'new' outfit today!

GL and Dawn, Thanks I'm rather enjoying the simplicity of this plan. It's so basic that it really makes it simple to follow. I'm enjoying adding to my vinegar, marinade ideas and recognizing just how many lowcal flavorable options there are available just using ingredients I already have in my pantry/fridge. Fun

I did that one night. I grilled a week's worth of chicken and left it on the stove to cool off because I didn't want to put it in individual baggies while it was steaming hot. I feel asleep and forgot to put it in the fridge. I ate it with no problems but I was scared to death. I didn't have anything else to eat and refused to cheat so I went with it. Hope it works out for you!!!!!

I started out broiling mine in the oven for a few minutes with garlic, sea salt, and pepper. Then I thought about the grill. I put mine in aluminum foil with the same ingredients and cooked them on the grill. They turned out much better because the foil kept the moisture in whereas the oven tended to dry them out. I usually use the oven when I can put olive oil on them but think I may just use the grill even when in p3 and p4

I agree!! I could NOT stay away from that darned scale. I just had to know what and how my body reacted to the foods I was eating. I just had to know the results of the apple day. I am surprised anyone could hold off!!

I held off on the scale last week because I was so addicted it was nutso I couldn't breath without jumping on that thing! This week I'm weighing daily and seeing how it goes. I just hate feeling like I'm being held captive by that sucker. I'm going more for 'how I look/feel' weight than a number but I sure know when I'm in my range

I was down 2 pounds today. This really works when I stay intentional. The last month I have been okay during the week and not so great on the weekend. (wine etc) So I have just been losing and then regaining what I lost.
I have lost 20 pounds doing HCG, so I know it works, but I have been fighting myself losing anymore!
So, I told my husband I was not planning our vacation until I lose 20 more pounds! A little more of a motivation for me and now he is helping me more.
I really want to do this and I know I can!

So today I am eating:
Iced coffee....(I love the starbucks summer blend)
L: hamburger and a hcg taco salad seasoning on top of lettuce
strawberries for snack
D: chicken and salad with WF Balsamic dressing (love it)
apple with stevia and cinnamon for snack

And lots of water!

I don't know how you guys stay off the scale either - I can't wait to weigh in every morning. I also weigh at night to try and predict my weight in the morning. Haven't been right yet!

I keep forgetting I want to try the apples with stevia and cinnamon. Yum!

I am having trouble getting my veggies in. I just don't feel like eating them. I don't know if I am just sick of them or what.

I weigh at night sometimes too MBB (in p2)!! It always amazed me that the scale can be the same at night after eating all of my food as it did that morning when I woke up. I loved that darn scale in p2!!!

The water was the hard part, especially by yesterday evening.I'd say I drank about 6 ounces over the 24hr. period.
