I also agree that you need to keep up with your potassium supplements, they are very important. Most clinics sell the protocol as a package deal including potassium supplements every single day. Try taking 2 - 99mg supplements with each meal. That is the equivalent of one banana and should restore the balance of potassium lost in your system. Hope you get it figured out!
Thanks! I actually woke up feeling much better. I'm not sure how much is in my bottle, I just take .5ml three times a day. I feel clear-headed off the drops. Since TOM showed up yesterday, I'm going to stay off them today as I'm supposed to and then probably start taking them once a day as she suggested. I still lost .4lbs since yesterday which is amazing for me with TOM.

Ok Thanks! I probably should have kept using my cream then. I was worried because I don't know if there is oil in it.
I am also taking testosterone and dhea. I haven't stopped them I guess it was kind of dumb to stop the progesterone cream

Yep, I know, and there isn't one within two hours in any direction from where I live ... in the Indiana sticks near the end of civilization. Believe me, I've looked!

Sorry about that. My cousin lives in Cali so I think they are everywhere there. She said he only charges her whatever she brings. Maybe you'll find one who does house calls for cheap !

Uggh, our internet has been on the fritz for the past 2 days. It keeps bumping me offline.

Good news is that I did the apple day yesterday and I woke up 2day down 1.2 lbs.

I hate to be a bother but I've also got one more apple day question. I re-read in P&I where he talks about the apple day, but do you restrict your water intake only until lunch the next day (2day for me) or for the whole day? I know he says that the apple day is over at lunch and to resume the 500 vlcd, but I'm just wondering if I should take it easy on the water 2day so I don't start retaining again. But I'm thirsty!!!

Any thoughts?

My doctor prescribes the bioidentical hormones and he's a MD. Here in my area, there are lots of doctors who prescribe these now. Maybe you could try to google bioidentical hormones + doctors + your area and see what pops up.

My mom went to the same Dr. all thru most of her menopause and the hormones were sooooooo helpful for her. Well and helpful for the whole family too, we were all thankful that she started acting like herself again and not an alien pod. Women in our family have lots of hormone issues anyway, so apparently we all go a little nuts during menopause.

I wish more doctors paid attention to women's hormones. Any type of imbalance can have you feeling not yourself. I asked my endo but they don't seem to care even though the resident said they did. Even my female gyn doesn't give a hoot. They used to have a doc who was really into it but he left years ago.

I used to cry the first day of TOM and feel so irritable and grouchy the rest of the month. A little progesterone cream did the trick. My cycles were better, too. I didn't know my fibroids (and estrogen dominance was at the root). Since I have the fibroids removed, I feel like a new person.

I completely agree and sometimes I think the endocrinologists are the worst ones. I went to my first endo when I was 20 (I didn't know it at the time but I had Hashimoto's & PCOS) and he told me I was pre-menopausal. At age 20!!!

I personally have had the best luck with regular MD's who either focus on hormone treatments or lean towards osteopathic medicine. It seems that they actually take the time to educate themselves & stay current with new research. My current doctor told me that the average doctor receives less than 7 hrs of education on hormones/endocrine system in medical school. After that it's their own responsibility to educate themselves.

No bother whatsoever! You can drink water normally today after lunch. I'm glad you got a nice release and hopefully this will jump start you again!

Hey, cool - I just put on a pair of jeans straight from the dryer! I'd been wearing them last week, but you know how it is with jeans.

It was with trepidation that I pulled them on, but success!

(These aren't the size 12 ones, but they're maybe 15 years old or so (thrift shop find, I haven't had them that long) and I have no idea what size they are.)

BTW, Congrats on your release ! I'm glad you have had good docs. I've had to run through a few to find some halfway decent ones.

I love sliding into smaller jeans. Makes your day doesn't it!

Thanks! I'm lucky that I live in an area with lots of good doctors. I've gotten to the point where I just won't put up with a bad one anymore. They have to listen to my concerns, be willing to explain things to me and answer my questions, and respect my knowledge of my body. In exchange I respect their knowledge & experience and do everything they ask of me in return (as long as we agree on treatment that is ).

Does anyone else do bioidentical hormones? My doc has me on progesterone cream? I haven't used it since I started the drops. I'm not sure if I should if i should use it or not. Does any one else my age (50 today) have any advice?
I took my thyroid medicine and used my bio-identical hormone cream everyday in P2. My clinic said that I did not have to stop them. If I was told that I had to stop them, I think I may have passed on this phenomenal diet. I have fought to get to this place with my thyroid meds and bhrt where I feel so good, so giving that all up would have been tough.

I am also 50.......sigh

Last time I saw my doc I asked her about it and she said she doesn't do bioidentical hormones and doesn't know anyone who does. Sigh.

I wish I would have asked this question before. Thank you! I am going to go home and start the cream again. I am on natural thyroid too, I heard of some people stopping when they were on hcg, but I am like you, it took to darn long to get to the point of finding a doctor and finally feeling good I didn't want to stop them.

No matter what part of the plan you are on, if you are thirsty, DRINK!!!

apple days, you just aren't supposed to drink if you aren't thirsty. Many of us sip on water all day just to get the 2liters in, whether we are thirsty or not.

So if it's thirst, then WATER IT!!

Here's a question, though. The only coffee I have in the house is instant. I don't like making coffee at home as the water is just never quite hot enough for me. In a pinch, I have instant.

SO.

I can stick with what I posted above.

OR.

I can put my trenchcoat on over my pajamas and march four blocks through the fog to the closest Starbucks, have a coffee there, AND take another one with me for that loooooooong walk home.

Whaddaya think?

Oooh, solution!

I can have cup #1 at home and then walk for cups 2 & 3! (making them decaf!)

I may be obsessing a little bit.

Yes, I agree... walk for that treat!

Two more days of coffee left for me, then switching to tea for P2. Fun, fun.

I might or might not lose better on tea as opposed to coffee but I won't find out. Nothing comes between me and my Starbucks!

Lost another .4 since yesterday and have lost over 30 lbs so far this year (about 11.5 in the past month on HHCG).
