I buy medium to large size grapefruits, usually medium or abut 4 inches across, I guess. Doesn't matter to me really cause I weigh it.

I'd cut one in half , weigh it, eat it out of it's shell by prying the sections out with a small butter knife, and then weigh the shell and pith and subtract that from the earlier weight. It was often 50 g or more difference. No need to count calories for the uneaten peel.

Later I'd have either the other half or a different fruit. I didn't eat both half servings together or both of any of the fruits together.

i weighed it to get an accurate calorie count and often it was the best fruit choice if my other foods were higher in calories that day.

Hi all,

I was doing Atkins for a while. I kept falling off track and gaining back the same 10 pounds, never quite making it to goal. A friend of mine has had major success at the HCG diet, so my husband and I decided to try it. Resetting at LDW seems ideal. We're currently P2R1D8. I appreciated the Atkins forums, so it's great that there's a discussion on HCG available. It really helps when you have other people to talk to about the weight loss experience.

This morning was 208.5 Did'nt feel so well yesterday, but seem to be OK this morning.

Tomorrow and thursday I was planning on loading for the next round. But, I think I will put it off till saturday and sunday. I know....who in their right minds would willingly put off LOADING?
But...the weather forcast is making me do it. For Sure!! It's calling for storms...and I can sit around the house and EAT all of that fat filled food for 2 days...besides, I can't get to the store to get the groceries till then. I want to load better this time than I did initially.
I got some pecans and walnuts at the dollar store yesterday. Barbo has a great recipee for LC Candied Nuts. This would be a perfect loading food. Good for grazing on all day between slices of cheesecake.

I think the real reason I will wait till this weekend to load is...
I do not want the entire bar/staff to see me "loading" and think anything about it. You know how the public is. I feel like it will be a 2 day binge...and all the food I will be eating...
I know it's all mental...but I hate it when people "hover" over my plate to check out what I'm eating. It makes me want to stab them with my fork.

Seriously! Very irritating!

Deb - you are rockin' p3!

My over zealous experience with chicken last night bumped me up 1 pound. Not to be derailed though. I believe part of it is how late I ate in addition to the extra calories. I'm going to chalk it up to a great lesson about letting myself go so long without eating during the day (about 8 hours). It's no wonder I was so hungry.

This morning I have an entire grapefruit sitting in front of me and I brought a monster lunch of salad greens with vinegar. I found a great balsamic with pomegranite with no carbs, no sugar.

My frustrating few days of .2 and .4 losses corrected itself today. I was down 1.4lbs since yesterday. It was a good reminder to calm down and realize my body knows what it is doing!

Yes, I've read stories of many people who stay in P2 for extended periods of time on the hhcg. There is no immunity with the hhcg like the Rx but I don't know about stalling. I think their losses have been pretty consistent. My only concern would be mentally handling that long of a P2. I look forward to P3 and stabilizing then moving on. I would be afraid of throwing in the towel and bingeing because of being mentally warped from P2 But, certainly you can extend it as long as you want

Thanks Gracie...good to hear! I'm so determined and focused right now that I could go 60 days without blinking since we just decided last week that we are getting married on the Fourth of July. I KNOW I can do this....I think I can, I think I can

Congratulations! My sister is getting married on July 3rd and I'm in it. You can do it, especially with such a big incentive!!!

I'm starting to get frustrated. I haven't lost any real weight since Thursday. I keep gaining and losing the same 0.2 lbs. I'm not sure what the deal is other than this is an old set weight point for me.

TOM is long gone, haven't changed my beauty products, medications, or my eating habits. I haven't really been eating much in the way of vegetables for the last 7 days or so, because I'm kinda salad'd out and haven't been hungry at all. But I even had some yesterday in case the problem is that I wasn't getting enough calories. No luck.

Anyone ever try an apple day? Was it successful? Did you continue to lose weight after the apple day or did it simply help the next day?

I know that I need to be patient, but I'm starting to get really cranky. I haven't even been losing inches, I checked.

It's been 5 days at the same weight so an apple day would probably be a good idea. I know Dr. Simeons says it's more of a mental thing but when I did them I lost the next day - usually 1-2 pounds - and it seemed to jump-start my losses again. Just start at lunch today and you can eat 5-6 apples and no water (enough to quench your thirst) until tomorrow at lunch. I would usually only get through about 4 of the apples. HTH

Thanks Gracie, I'll give it a try. After P&I I was thinking what's the point, but if there's a possibility that it will jump start my losses then I'll definitely give it a try. Heading to the grocery store now!
