I've definitely lost something! It was a bit like pulling teeth to get to 38 inches, waist wise, since it would drop a half inch, go up a half inch, drop a quarter inch, etc.
Then, in the last few days, it dropped to 37.5 and stuck, and last night dropped to 37. Even when I was a size six, I couldn't wear 95% of the knee high boots out there. Maybe losing on HCG will help that! Though, maybe not. My sister, who is just barely five feet tall and wears about a size two - SHE can't pull most boots over her calves! |

Good Morning to Everyone! Been busy-busy. Looks like everyone is going great!
Vic - congrats - you are almost there...you will see onederland soon. I couldn't believe it when I finally hit it during my last round...I hadn't seen the one"s since 1993...I felt sooooo good. I finally made it into a size 12 also from an 18 KUTGW!! Elise - you will get a lot of good advice here! When I went away several times, it scared me so much. I am such a binger type person, and never had any will power to speak of. When I went out with friend, I ordered a club soda on the rocks with a lemon and everyone thought I was drinking vodka. At first I started saying I couldn't have this or that, but everyone gave me a hard time, so I let it roll, and just did my own thing. When I don't go out, it is easier. When I went away I did find things I could eat and I went to the store with my aunt and got things I could eat. I figured if I could get one person to let me do what I needed to do without giving me a hard time, I could make it happen. I have no support from anyone, as I have been overweight for so long, I think everyone has given up on me losing weight, and think I'm just on some other crazy diet. I have lost 34 pounds now, so they keep their mouths shut a little more..haha! I did my loading days on Thursday and Friday and had my first vldc Saturday. So I am R2P2vlcd3, and got off my loading weight plus a little more....190.4 this morning! I am hoping to get into the 180's! Feeling a lot of energized excitement over here! For those of you who are new, I am on the injections, and just starting my second round. Started my first round on 3/16/10... (40 injections) lost 34 pounds, maintained for 6 weeks, started second round 6/3/10. This is just an amazing journey. I have tried since my husband died to get this weight off, and NOTHING worked. When he died in 1993 I weighed 150, turned to food and gained a lot...up to 230 just before I started this. I have stress, no support, a son with cerebral palsy, a foster child, a daughter in college, and I take meds which are for thyroid and blood pressure...also, prozac...ha! guess why! I mentor 6 kids now and 4 of them have lost one parent to cancer, and I work for an attorney part time mornings. I am taking the time to write now, because sometimes I'm so busy, I don't have time to do it. I will try and do better, and stop by to see how everyone is doing, also, I need to be accountable and get back in the habit of doing that. There is something about posting your "number" that seems to make it real! There is wonderful advice and support here, and I could not have gotten this far without all of you. Thanks and have a really good Monday!

I bet you will make it there on your three no hcg days!
Elise - I hear you about the weekend you'll be away from home and how to eat. Three plus weeks without some kind of social activity is hard to schedule around. I will be interested to hear what other people have to say. It is a very restrictive food plan and that's hard to work around. I mean with lc you can typically get around it without too much difficulty but this is more difficult under those circumstances. I've got something coming up this weekend. I've already planned what I'm going to eat and it will definitely put me over 500 calories for the day, but I'm willing to take the hit to be able to get out and do this evening out.

Gracie - I just saw your weight! Are you going to go another round? Is your goal still 150? You must be feeling great...you look wonderful in your picture!!!! Are you still losing about 20 pounds per round? I am going to do a 3 week this time instead of 6, as I will be taking vacation just at the time I start phase 3. I would be so happy if I could get 20 off this round...keep your fingers crossed!

Good day all! I'm down another .5 pound this morning! I'm on day 10 and already down 8.5 pounds, woohoo! But....
TOM showed up Saturday morning, and since then I've been super dizzy. I've even had to grab onto something nearby when I stand up because the room starts to black out. I had problems with hypoglycemia (low-blood sugar) during adolescence, but not so much in my adult life. Is it possible that this is due to low iron because of TOM? I'm on hhcg spray, and it was working beautifully for the whole week before, and I'm still using it to keep the hunger at bay. Has anyone else had these type of symptoms during TOM? It's never happened to me before.... I've read elsewhere the potassium helps with dizziness, do YOU take it? Thanks a bunch, and congrats to everyone taking control of their life/weight/health! Blessings and happy losing! |

Right now I am in P3 and will continue onto P4. I plan on starting my hopefully LAST round in the beginning of August. I have my sister's wedding and vacation in July so I'm hoping to just maintain through all of that. I am also going to start a T-Tapp bootcamp this week to get me in good shape for the wedding. I am enjoying P3 but I will also be happy to get to a lower weight. I'm not sure what my ultimate goal is, I'm just going to let my body decide. The 150's would be amazing!!!

I've been supplementing w/ potassium and magnesium/calcium since the beginning. I've had TOM since VLCD4 (on #8 today) and no problems w/ dizziness. Still some hunger and tiredness, but it is manageable for the most part. OH and I also meant to add this about TOM. I usually have very heavy cycles that have become increasingly painful over the last several years. Ummm.... knock on wood, but I've had almost no cramps w/ this TOM and it's very light. Like, really light. Crazy! Nooooo complaints though! ![]() Last edited by Kiley2801; 06-07-2010 at 12:35 PM.. |

On a side note, I thought I would just dig in the moment I was able to eat, but I was kind of afraid to. I didn't eat until almost 1:00pm today and I had P2 chili! I also lost weight below my 2 lb. limit from Friday to today. I am incredibly happy to be in P3. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I bought a pair of trouser jeans from J Jill and never wore them because they were a little tight. Forgot about them and fjust ound them in my closet. Put them on and they really should be a smaller size because now they are too loose. I wore them anyway and found an old belt that I could cinch them up with, but they are definitely too big, but because they are trouser jeans they can be worn a litlle looser. I guess this is a good problem to have! |

I find this protocol hard to follow when doing alot of socializing. I got off protocol the last two weekends of my last round. In when I say got off, I mean really got off, drinking eating sugar and starch. I gained weight and was able to get it back off and then lose some more, like 2.5 for the week. If I were to get off for a weekend again while on a round, I'd try to eat things that were more low carb. I ditch the sugar and starch. My beer was low carb, but not much of the food was. I still lost 25 lbs. in 40 days, but I wonder what I could have lost had I not gotten off. I'm going to do shorter rounds from now on, especially in the summer because we are more socially active. |

A seafood place would be an easy place to eat steam crab or lobster or shrimp. Otherwise you can ask for grilled chicken or beef with no oil/butter. Just make sure you eat your normal portion. After a while I was able to eyeball it. |

You should read "Pounds and Inches" - it is free online and you can download it for free - you can just google it and find it. But it does say lipstick is fine, baby oil is fine, mineral powders are fine.

Some places now have those extended calf boots where the part around the calf is a little bigger. I'm not sure if they increase the size of the ankle part, but it would make sense to do that.

Ugh, so not hungry today. I'm eating dinner right now and I really could have left it. I wasn't hungry yesterday, either, and didn't bother eating dinner. Since I wonder if that's why I didn't release anything, I'm making myself eat today, but yuck.

Vic - I felt like that almost the whole time last round, even into phase 3 for weeks! Hard to believe, isn't it?
Chanty - sorry I can't help you cause I can't eat grapefruit cause of some medications I'm on...I know someone will answer you soon! I think Gracie started this phenomenon of grapefruit...wish I could have it!!! |

It hasn't inhibited my losses as far as I know. I mean, I know I stopped losing every day weeks ago, but as I charted my losses along with what I ate, grapefruit didn't hurt. |

I eat a whole grapefruit. I peel and segment it (as best I can) and eat the whole thing in one setting. They are a bit on the small size though. If I was eating HUGE ones I'd probably eat half at a time. I like them way better than apples! Oh, and I don't think it's made a difference in how much I loose, but I enjoy them.

Grapefruit - I've been eating half of a medium size one as a serving. I could happily go for a whole one! I just woofed down a piece of chicken that was twice the size it should have been. I think it's because I got around to dinner so late. I've got to do better with timing so I don't do this again. I guess in the big scheme of things if I was going to overeat, then eating an extra serving of grilled chicken certainly wasn't the worst thing I could be shoving down my mouth. I'll be interested in seeing how this looks on the scale tomorrow morning. |
