My guess is a combo of TOM and not getting in enough water though. Try to drink a lot of water today (like 100 ounces) and I'm sure you'll have a nice drop tomorrow.
Is the use of MINT ok for homeopathic users or not?

My info says stay away from mint, as the oils interfere, and that's for the spray.

Thank you so much for the P3 info!!! One thing I'm keeping in mind this time is that it's not 'all you can eat' - with all the creams, fats, etc, it's easy to go over our daily caloric needs REAL quick.

Strangely enough, I was down 2.0 from yesterday - weird - especially since I ate a second dinner at 9:30pm. Didn't have a clue what the scale was going to say and this morning I stood there on the scale rubbing my eyes and leaning down to make sure. That's the thing with P3, you just never know...

Got back on w/ ****** to keep track of my foods too...

Have a great day ya'll!

You know, I don't think it is! Good find Marci! I know in P2 the only thing I use is cinnamon and I remember reading that mint is a no-no while using homeopathic.

HELP!

I need some help here troubleshooting for DH.

Today is VLCD12. He has no hunger issues, no cheats and typically drinks 2-3 liters of water per day. I've checked every label of every spice and everything he's consumed. He's only down 7.6 pounds overall and more importantly he's hovering at 245 for almost a week. He's hasn't been measuring all along but I know he got in to a smaller size t-shirt this week. I forced him to measure yesterday and today. He's down 10.38 inches overall. He's down 3/4 inch since yesterday.

He's very discouraged about the scale not moving and about what seems to be a small loss for two weeks (especially compared to me.)

Two things come to mind for me. He's serious coffee drinker. He uses SF liquid creamer that is 15 cal (10 from fat). I did notice however that despite claiming to be SF the second ingredient is corn syrup (huh?) He also uses 3-4 shots daily of SF flavored syrups. The labels state no calories or fat.

Secondly, same day he started his program he was diagnosed with skin cancer. He was given a medicinal cream to use for two weeks. The cream contains isopropyl miristate (some kind of oil) and mineral oil. This is day 2 without cream.

So, he wants to know what he can and can't have in his coffee, should he do an apple day and any other suggestions you all might have. The med cream seems like the obvious culprit but if he doesn't drop tomorrow or the next day he's gonna freak. We know the HCG is working because we share it and I'm doing great and he's not hungry either.

Please, any thoughts?

I am guessing the creamer with corn syrup is the worst offender. Second would be the SF syrup. He can have 1 tablespoon of milk every 24 hours, so that's a good item for the coffee.

Skin creams can be problematic, but if he's been off of it for a couple of days already, if it WAS the culprit, it should resolve itself soon.

Also remember, there's lots of stuff going on "under the hood" even if there's no drop on the scale, so hang in there and wait for that "whoosh" !!!

The creamer screams at me that it is not protocol. 15 calories per serving? How many is he having a day? He could be adding way too many calories. Actually, creamer isn't even on the protocol - milk is only listed and only 1 tablespoon for the entire day. The high fructose corn syrup in the creamer is most likely the culprit. Ditch the creamer and if he's off the medicine he should start having some really good losses.

Just wanted to thank everyone for all the support while I did the HCG. I have done 21 days and have decided to stabilize. The drops don't agree with me (feel much better off them and have far more energy even while still doing the diet). I wish the rest of you the best of luck with your rounds. I lost 12 pounds and will stabilize that for a few weeks before losing more.

You did very well - the average weight loss for a woman on protocol is .5 pounds per day ! I answered you a while back when you thought your drops might be bad. I remember you struggled with hunger, right ? If you decide to do it again, you should try a different brand. I don't know where you got yours, but someone out there is auctioning fake drops.

Thanks!! I just checked my records and last apple day I did (Feb 27th) I lost 1.2 pounds. If I can do that it would be fabulous!!! I did have a bounce up the following day, however the NEXT day had a nice drop. So it turned out really, really well. I was very pleased with the results and the day didn't go so badly either. I wasn't thinking about food all the time and to not have to worry about my water!! Well, it was nice for a change!!! Cannot wait for tomorrow!

I got mine through a family friend who's a naturopath, R.N. and certified midwife (so that I knew I had legit stuff). They were in a colloidal silver base which is supposed to be superior but I think I may try the standard kind that others have done well on at a later date. I may have been sensitive to the silver or the additional homeo supports she added for thyroid, liver, etc. My mom and I started at the same time. She feels great on them and has lost 16lbs in the same time frame. I'm going to consider doing a round in early fall. My kids will be in school more then and it will be cooler.

Oh, I never had hunger issues, just weakness/fatigue/shortness of breath type stuff. Today is my last full day of the 500 cals and I've been to the zoo walking for 3 hours with no problems. The diet doesn't bother me one bit but something in those drops certainly was...started feeling better after being off them for even 24 hours.

Okay, now I am remember ! Most people don't use colloidal silver anymore just the bacteriostatic water to mix with it. Some people do well with the silver, like your mom. I remember thinking maybe your iron was low. I was drop dead fatigued and even B-12 didn't help. A year later the docs told me I needed iron.

I am so glad you feel better ! I hope you will give it another shot when you are up to it. You and your mom both did great !!

I've never tried the ground turkey breast - do you cook it just like the beef? What kind of recipes do you use with it?

You're right, the ****** values do tend to be all over the place. I sometimes wonder if they don't bother to edit it because it's free.

I am going to try the lean beef again next round just because I like the taste much better than the turkey, but I stopped this time because it was a suspected staller. Granted, I had about three other possible stallers going on simultaneously so I can't be positive.

Next round, I'll be more circumspect and hope I can include it!

When I looked up 3.5 ounces of cooked turkey breast it was 15.09 grams of protein, 3.5 ounces of grilled chicken breast was 29.4 grams of protein, and the ground beef was 20.4 grams of protein for 3.5 ounces cooked. I think if I would add the ground turkey breast my next round I would use more to up the calories and protein. When I use the cottage cheese as my protein I would use 3/4 cup which is 6 ounces instead of 3.5 ounces to equal out the calories.
Well, first of all you should be entering values for 3.5 oz of raw meat, not cooked. That there could skew the values you see. For one thing cooking changes the volume, and nutrient values of foods. Meats lose water and get "heavier", some vegetables starches turn into sugars, 3.5 oz of raw chicken has a lot more water in it than 3.5 oz of cooked.

If you want to check the values, Use the raw labels for the meat and look at
USDA National Nutrient Database

Secondly, comparing fit day or the USDA database to packaging may give you conflicting values because for the majority of plain food items, ****** uses the USDA Nutritional Values. If you were to go to that site you'd see that ****** would match values for many of the same foods. OTOH food packaging is allowed to fudge the numbers by rounding up and down. Most food packages don't assume you are going to measure down to the gram and weigh down to the decimal of oz so they just make the nutirent values easy. 0 cal or 5 cal when it's actually 2 calories and 7 calories, but 5's and 10's are easy to understand and add up.

I recently purchased the Weight Watchers Scale by Conair. Has increments of .1 lbs. Love it. I too had a digital scale that was in increments of .5 lbs.

Tried to load a picture of it, but can't get it to work.

And I see ground turkey every store I go to, but never see ground chicken!

I have about 10 recipes that call for 'ground chicken' so I'm going to use ground turkey instead!

Huh, thanks all. My literature didn't say anything about mint, and I figured herbal tea was acceptable as a tea. Good to know that I should avoid it in the future.

Beginning my loading day at 211.
I think I started "loading" last night. It was late when we got home and I still made pizza for supper. AND had 2 pcs of dh's birthday cake.

SO........Question.....
Do I consider this DAY 1 of my R2P2 phase? or do you not count the loading as actual days?.

I start counting the round at day 1 and the VLCD, day 1 of VLCD of the round as R2P2VLCD1. But OVERALL, I say I'm on whatever ROUND day I'm on even if I'm on VLCD. Confusing even to me! HA. I'm sure others might do it differently.

start counting from your loading days and dose while loading so the minimum round ends up being 23 dosing days and 21 days vlcd while dosing then 2 or 3 after that vlcd without dosing happy loading!

Looks good to me. I'd love a change of pace to turkey.

I went off plan last night and it was worth it. On a scale of 1-10 my off was about a 7. I didn't completely binge out and I was moderate in the things I ate and drank. Up 2# today and if my swollen little fingers are any indication, it's certainly a ton of water. It was an outside concert and hideously humid. I think I'm going to do an apple day to get back on track.

Wonderful weekend wishes to all!

I have done my apple day yesterday and it was rough. My DH decided to take the kids out to eat last night at Chick-Fil-A. I toted my 2 cut up apples and ate them while they ate chicken sandwiches and milkshakes right in front of me How downright mean!!! Anyhow, I stuck to no water and 5 big apples and released........2.4 pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wowza!!! That is all I can say!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am thrilled beyond belief!!! I am now at 114.2. Now I can end my round on my terms. Breaking through 116!!! Yeah!!!!

Now I can end my round on my terms. Breaking through 116!!! Yeah!!!!
Excellent work dawn! You are a mentor to me and have been since BEFORE I even began this and ever since! Thanks for showing how it's done, girl!!!

OMG, that is AMAZING!!!!!! Congratulations! I am so happy for you!

I lost...drumroll please.....NOTHING! Not one ounce! lol I was a little shocked this morning when I stepped on the scale. However, tomorrow is my last day of dosing, and up until this past Wednesday I had been losing every single day, so I think maybe my body is just ready to level off at this weight right now. I don't want to be greedy or ungrateful because I've lost so much weight already. So I'm not going to worry too much about it. Today I'm doing a regular P2 day. I'm debating whether or not I should try an apple day tomorrow again since it's my last day...or if I should just end it on regular P2.

Thank you !!! I am so sorry you didn't lose an ounce. How disappointing. I lost 1.4 my first apple day. Did you not drink? That was the hardest part--when you are used to drinking all day long and go ahead and not drink.....aye!!! Maybe you will get results tomorrow!! Maybe it will be a second day effect? I suggest ending on a regular P2 day. Because if you do lose on the apple day it would be hard to maintain once you start on P3. That is what I think, not what would happen!! LOL
