Simeons HCG protocol--May 2010

Though we know everyone wants to help support people through the Simeon's Protocol (HCG) diet, we recommend you consult a physician before starting any diet plan. Since no one can possibly know the medical history of the members here, dispensing medical advice is not allowed. This is for the protection of both the member giving the advice as well as the member receiving the advice. LCF wants to keep everyone safe. We would also like to point out that hCG is a controlled substance and requires a doctor's written prescription. Online sales of hCG may be illegal in some states. Therefore, we must request that you not post where or how you are obtaining your hCG products. Our ToS state "any material that encourages conduct that would constitute a criminal offense, result in civil liability, or otherwise violate any applicable local, state, national or international law is prohibited." We recommend you re-read our ToS to familiarize yourself with the LCF rules.

Hey you guys! So I cheated this weekend. Saturday night at the rodeo had some voldka water and then some dorritos.... I have no self control I swear! So I'm going to finish the diet and I should still be down to 122 by my last spray date. I'm dissappointed in myself, but nothing I can do now.

Happy Monday everyone! So as of vlcd9 I am down 10lbs! My losses were really slow for the weekend...one day I was up .2lbs but nothing was different in my eating plan so I didnt worry about it. This morning I FELT smaller and that was a great feeling!!! I ordered another bottle of the hhcg thinking I am probably going to go past the 23 day mark but not sure by how much. Plus I wanted to have a backup in case something happened.

Susan ~ In the last thread you had asked about the flax muffins. I checked Linda Prinster's guide and the flax is okay for P3.

Hey everyone!

Penny, I too slipped up this weekend.

Wedding was great (thanks everyone for wishing me luck!). Worked out fine and the dress totally fit.

But went offplan Saturday night and all day yesterday. It's as though I was loading. Gross. Probably up a ton, but back on the HCG this morning, and I'll weigh again in a few days when I feel better.

I know that eating this way will work, since it worked so well before the wedding, so I have no real fears about not getting to goal.

Eating junk completely changed my mood and I was tired, moody, and snappy with my friends. They all were asking me if I was in a bad mood or something, and I felt like I had to pretend to smile and be cheery. Carbs are such depressants!

The good thing is I FINALLY SLEPT. MY sleeping was TERRIBLE while on the HCG the past few weeks. Like, some days I'd go with 1-3 hours only, and it would continue night after night. Oddly, I would have fair energy during the day, and wasn't exhausted or yawning all the time. But it was painful lying awake all night. Sigh... guess that might be a price I pay while on this plan. I wonder if slightly increasing my fat intake could help. Or carb intake. We'll see!

So, VLCD9 and down 11.4 pounds from pre-load weight!! I walked like three miles yesterday and Bernice came to visit last night so I think that helped.

Sam, Sorry about your slip up. Sucks huh? I only want to do this diet for the three weeks and I can't do it any longer then that. I don't have that much dicipline. So I'm hoping I won't stall out for too long before I start losing again. Have you started losing again? What happened last time you slipped up? I didn't weigh myself all weekend becasue I was up in Canada, but before I left I was at 126.4 and today when I weighed myself I was at 127 ( i cheated Saturday so I'm assuming my weight went up yesterday). I'm hoping tomorrow I can start losing again

I have a question for you guys too. I know protocol says not to exercise but does anyone see a better result exercising? I need to shed some pounds in 8 days, and I miss working out so bad! Also I have a 5 mile race I'm running Saturday and I"m doing it regardless of the diet.. could be tough though with limited calories but oh well.

No exercise is for those who already don't exercise. But if you already exercise, then you should be fine to continue.

Yeah, I'm already a big walker, so I"m still doing plenty of walking. I'm going to add lifting during P3 and P4 and see if I can manage continuing on the limited protein.

You want to continue limited protein in P3 and P4? I guess I'm confused on why you want to do that. Did your doctor or clinic recommend that?

Oh, no, not at all. I mean, start lifting and hopefully seeing at least a little bit of a result and then continue when I cycle back to P2 and see how the drop in protein affects me.

Oh, okay I understand I thought you were going to keep the low protein like P2 while you are in P3/P4 and lifting! I would think if you do it for a while then go back into P2 you should be fine.

I never have good losses over the weekends because I don't seem to get all of my water in. Don't worry you'll have some nice releases this week

I am just back on plan today so not sure about weight from weekend, and I'm sure I'll start losing again instantly. Will probably set me back a few days, though. I'm okay with that. Is that weird? I just know the results I had, and know they will be back. I haven't slipped up yet really since starting HCG, so we'll see if the losses come back like they were before. So now you're only up 0.6! That's great!

Your first goal was the wedding and to fit properly into the dress and you accomplished that! So anything else is gravy!

Sam - still sucks because I should be down 2+ but I can't complain cuz I did it to myself! Just have to make the most out of the days I have left.

I wish I could stop obsessing about my weight I hate it. This weekend I got so jealous of my husband and friends who just ate what they wanted and I was on this diet. I have a bad attitude right now I think.

Mandy,
I admit I obsess about this diet all day long BUT look at it this way - you are focusing on your health. Poor eating habits catch up to folks eventually in some way or another. Be proud of yourself for being proactive and taking care of yourself.

Today is day 6 of R1P3 and so far I've been fluctuating between 150.4 and 151.6 (LDW was 152). Thanks to veryone for helping to calm me down and not panic about gaining that pound when P3 first started. I feel like I eat so much! But it's all low carb, no starch, no sugar and so far it's working this time!

WOE: low carb/healthylifestyle - struggling with binges
Hello - just checking into the new May thread...thanks Dawn for starting it! Can't believe April went by so fast. I thought when I started hcg for the first six weeks, it would take forever, but went way too fast.

Gracie - thanks for the info on the flax. I love my flax muffin in the morning..keeps me full so long and don't even think about food. I will keep enjoying it until I do p2 again. yippee! I don't have very good losses over the weekends either, and I know it's partially do to the same thing...I don't get all my water in. I can't figure it out either, cause I'm so busy during the week, and I fit it in, I have the weekends off and don't...I need to fix that cause it's crazy!

Deb - so sorry about your furbaby...I know how tough that can be.

I did find out one interesting thing this weekend, my stevia was gone and I used splenda and that was the first time in 7 weeks I had any cravings. I never realized that before. I still do not have much hungar, but I make sure I eat all I am suppose to..stabilizing still at 193 on this 9th day of P3..

I did sleep very well when I started hcg. It took about 4-5 weeks into it, before I got any decent sleep. I also was a walker before I started, so I am just continuing the same thing and it hasn't hurt my losses. I did up the mileage though from 2-3 miles a day to 4-8 miles per day. I have so much energy, that it wasn't a problem at all. I even made a challenge route on the beach for a few miles, up about 200 steps from the beach and then back home. I just need to wear off some of this energy!

Have a great night everyone!

doxie - I know I felt the same way when I started P3. It was so much fun losing all that weight, and then to gain a little and now try to stabilize, it's such a different feeling. I've calmed down a lot about it, cause I just look at the progress I made in P2, and I am understanding the purpose of this protocol more every time someone posts new advice...so now I'm totally patient and comfortable where I am. I love that!
