Wish - I'm glad you liked it. I make it every week since these girls gave me the recipe. I'm in P3 and I'm still eating it, only a bigger bowl full!

Hey girls! Things are still moving along here. I am p2vlcd8 and down about 7.6 lbs. I did not get all of my water in this weekend and I am afraid that is why I did not lose more. Anyway, I am on the verge of getting sick (sore throat, cough, etc) and I feel super worn down. I took some homeopathic cold stuff to try to help. They were pellets you let dissolve on your tongue and YUCK. I could taste the sugar coating. So........I am going to avoid those for now.
I am gargling with salt water and sipping hot tea w/ lemon. Hopefully tomorrow I will feel better and more importantly, I will see that scale move down!
Glad to see everyone doing well on here! You P3er's give me hope! That phase scares me w/ the freedom!

Oh Deb I am so sorry to hear that. Those furkids truly fill our hearts with love and become family. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I had the same thing on vlcd's 3-6 and it was awful. I stuck it out and nursed myself by gargling with salt water and also using the saline solution up my nose too! That last one was HUGE help! It really helped dry everything up. I did try the Afrin nasal spray and protocol didnt suffer due to it so if you need to go that route you may try that. I did a LOT of digging online to read the ingredients of everything before I sent DF to the store to buy it. Hope you feel better soon! Get a lot of fluids and a lot of rest!

Time for an update: 21 days VLCD - I've lost 18lbs and DH has lost 20lbs. We're going for the 40 day or I might do a continous round of homeopathic hcg and take a short break over the 4th of July for vacation with a 2-3 week P3.

Sorry to hear that Deb. It's always a sad day when we lose our furbabies.

Well, good grief after three days I just figured out why I wasn't getting any notifications from here ... a new thread has been started! Man, some times I'm just sharp as a block!!

Oh Deb, I'm so sorry about your loss. I'm a "mama" to so many 'furballs' I've literally lost count. We lost one of our mamacat's last week and she left behind 3 kittens who are about 3 weeks old now. Fortunately, another of our cats was pregnant too and she adopted the three kittens and had her own four kittens the next day. Then over the course of several days, two of hers died from some unknown reasons. One is still pretty scrawny but I'm supplementing their milk with homemade kitten milk replacement and a little bottle to make sure they are getting well fed! Loss of a dear pet is SO hard to go through.

Anyhow, just checking in so I get my notifications again. On Day 10, P3 and it's going great!!

It's frustrating to finally have an understanding that our bodies are born with a life time supply of hcg and that American food has been so overloaded with chemicals....chemicals that are DESIGNED to remove hcg from our bodies!! Makes me wanna slap the FDA!!!

Good Morning Everyone!

Gracie - great idea for the chili..I will do that...I love sour cream on almost anything! I'm doing your strawberry thing too with the sour cream. I'm making a pound of gr beef, and a can of tomatoes, spices, etc., and getting about 2-3 meals...that size ok? Happy Birthday to your baby's first! My "baby" boys birthday is today too, but, he'll be 26!! So Happy Birthday! Love your new picture...you look wonderful and so pretty!

Marci - I was wondering where you were! Glad you found us and happy to hear your p3 is going good...mine too. I go between 192-193 somewhere, and I think that's okay.

Hang in there everyone...losing weight is very motivating and don't get discouraged if the scale doesn't move every day. Those words were given to me when I started, and I lived by that advice because it's very easy to get down on yourself as we are all here because we are fighting the same battle. This time, I have support and advice that is absolutely wonderful! I don't have support from anyone, and no one understands why my weight has been so high for so long after I tried everything. I'm minding my own business, doing my own thing, and everyone else can say whatever they want, cause I don't care anymore. I come right here for advice and support and it makes my day complete. Thanks to you all!

Susan ~ That size of chili sounds just fine. When I'm in P3 I don't really count calories, I just eat if I'm hungry. I think my daily calories were anywhere from 2000-2500 per day. I totally agree with everything you said about us all fighting the same battle. The difference is THIS time, we are going to WIN!!!!! We all know that our goals can be attained and it feels awesome!!!!!

has anyone had a "planned interruption"? We are heading to Edmonton May 14th which will be day 20 of phase 2 for me and it is not very often we get away. I am hoping to really enjoy myself and get out for a nice meal or 2. I don't want to worry about staying in plan for those 2 days. Do I stay on the HCG or do I come off for 2 days?

Thanks

I have done a few planned interruptions - you need to quit the hcg 48 hours before your trip if you are doing hhcg. I just ate P3 - No Sugars or Starches - then jumped right back into dosing and P2. A planned interruption can last up to 14 days. It is recommended to wait until you've had the 21 effective doses plus the 2 days without hhcg but you can do whatever you want. It doesn't say NOT to do it before the 21 effective doses, it's just recommended.

What is the reasoning for stopping it 48 hours before your interruption?

Good morning, everyone ! I am down .6 pounds. My bottle is depleting so I think I will do P3 when it runs out. My mini goal was 210 and I have .9 to go. Have a great day, everyone.

Because it takes 48 hours for the homeopathic hcg to leave your body. You don't want the hcg in your system while you are eating P3 fats. You will gain quickly because the hcg is releasing lots of extra calories in stored fat into your system. That's why we do the 500 calorie diet while on hcg.
