Thanks Deb...I guess I didnt make that clear! I was concerned about the blend because of things I heard about them having hidden ingredients like starch and sugar....and then also want to use it in P3. Sometimes my fingers dont quite keep up with my brain!

I cant wait to try your recipe. I'm planning on making grilled shrimp with a mustard, lime and franks dip and marinade! Your mix will be a great rub for them!!!

Just checking in! I'm loading on Saturday and I'm really ready to start. I was trying to stay lowcarb until the wedding so I wouldn't be all bloaty-faced, but I'm really not sticking to it very well right now which sucks because when I do get on the protocol I'll have extra weight to lose. Oh well... I'm just ready to get started.

Sounds like everyone's doing well! I'm still reading through some of the old threads but I'm just so excited about this! It really seems like this might work!

Two questions, is there anything you all think I should do to get ready? Other than portion out meats?

Is anyone actually losing a lb a day?

I was in the same situation with LC. The weight comes off so quickly you wont believe it so do not worry about it. The one piece of advice everyone will give you is eat a ton of fat!! I was so carb deprived that I had some of those too but dont make the mistake of not loading up with fat properly.

I didnt just portion the meat, I cooked it as well. DF fileted all of my chicken breasts, two weeks worth, then after weighing them, I marinated them and grilled them on a non stick grill. I froze them in small ziplocs by twos and then in a large freezer bag. That way I'd take out 2 or 3 packages at a time and all I had to do was rip up a romaine salad, slice up the chicken and toss some WF blue cheese dressing on it! I wouldnt have made it if I had not been so prepared.

Oh, another thing....pick up some extra syringes at the pharmacy!!!! Just in case!!
I'm on VLCD 17 and have lost 16.4lbs....yup, it works!!! Thank God!!

Hi everyone,

computer was broke for a while and now i'm back. i started with homeopathic drops about 2 weeks ago but honestly, doing it on my own, and remembering drops 6x a day wasn't working for me, so i took the plunge and i (re)started tuesday and am going to an actual dr and doing weigh in's - etc - i really need that accountability and i switched to injections - they told me it didn't matter that i was doing homeo drops because it's not pure hcg so it doesn't affect me, so tomorrow i will "re" begin my first VLCD - i loaded for 2 days and gained 15lbs - wow - i'm also on birth control and my last pill was on sunday so i know this week will be my . week so i guess that might contribute to it as well but i feel disgusting and i'm to the point where i can't wait to begin tomorrow.

i'm at 225lbs right now...and i have been saying prayers that this diet will work - i'm hoping the injections will be better for me - just once a day - and that i can stick to this....i'm so tired of being disgusted with myself - i'll be back here now on the regular

i have been reading everyone's posts from my cell phone but i can't post - so i been keeping up - EVERYONE IS DOING GREAT! I really look up to ya'll!

QUESTION

i have about 50lbs to lose - the center i am going to offered me two options to either do the 40 day straight or do a 23 day, do maintenance then do another 23 day for the same price - which do you think would be more effective? if you had the choice?

Thank you!! I am on the hhcg too. If you use the syringe (without needle) you have a lesser chance of contamination. You're gonna do great, trust us!!

OMG for real!! I'm so excited! Your loss is incredible!

I've heard such mixed reviews about the hHCG I thought I was taking a huge gamble. I REALLY want to start!!!

But going to Charleston on VLCD is NOT a good idea

It will most likely take you at least two rounds to lose 50lbs so why not try it both ways and see which one works best for you? I did six weeks in Round 1 and mentally it was more of a challenge for me. But with hHCG I don't have the immunity issues that the Rx does. The maintenance is for stabilization so it is important too. I think both ways would be effective, but you have to decide what YOU can do.

Either way, it will be wonderful!!

I have been LIVING in sweats for over 2 months now. I am so close to putting back on a pair of jeans that I can TASTE it. I have a skin disease/condition called benign familial pemphigus. Haileys for short. I inherited it from my dad's side of the family. Great. It always happens in a nice warm fold of skin. So...being overweight...certainly does not help. I was diagnosed when I was 30 yrs old (I'm 52 now). In our family, if you do not get it by the time you are 30...you probly won't.

Well...of course, there is no cure. Only drugs that can "control" outbreaks. And once an outbreak starts...hang it up! Cuz it has a mind of its own. It will be stubborn and run its course. THEN, and only then will it begin to respond to treatment.

At 1st, i was using a steroid cream on outbreaks that were around my waist. Well, I overdid the "ointment" back then, believing it would get rid of it faster. All it did was THIN the skin in the front of my waist. Now, I pay the price for that. If my clothes are to binding, my skin will break open in spots. UUUGGGHHH!!!!

This last round has been pretty painfull to say the least. Spots in the front of my waist, beneath one breast and onto my side, in my armpit, under my bra line on my back, and on the small of my back. I am currently taking minocycline. That is mainly for the secondary infection that always comes with Haileys. And when i can't stand how painful the scabs are...I use Aquaphor(a healing ointment made by Eucerin). SCABS HURT!!!!

But...the good news is this...when i do put on that pair of jeans...maybe someone will notice that I have begun to shed the weight that I had regained. Close to 30 pounds of it!!! On that day the sun will shine.

Morning Everyone!

Today is R1P2VLCD6. I'm down another 1.4 pounds today! Woop Woop! I guess my antibiotic ointment didn't hurt me yesterday. Thank goodness since I have to take it for the next 9 days.

Hoping for good losses for everyone today!

I have heard some of you say that we should avoid some skin products. I posted the thing about Haileys because there are times that I absolutely have to use the Aquaphor or GO NUTS!! The ingrdients are :
Active ingredient: Petrolatum 41%
Inactive ingredients: Mineral oil, Ceresin, Lanolin Alcohol, Panthenol, Glycerin, Bisabolol

I don't know if this stuff is a no-no....but at least it has not stopped the weight from coming off. What a Blessing!! I know that each and everyone of us are different. So...if you have to use something for whatever reason....GO FOR IT !! If the weight comes off a little slower...so be it.

I did the same thing. I was doing low carb for months, and then about 4 days before I started protocol, I started eating carbs and I ate like crazy for 4 days and gained 10 pounds before starting protocol! I'm on VLCD 6 today though and I've already lost 13.6 pounds. I just wish I hadn't gained those 10 pounds right before protocol cause then I would have lost 13 NEW pounds and I'd be at a new low weight that I haven't seen in a LONG time. Learn from my mistake and try to control yourself between now and Saturday. lol

The protocol DEFINITELY works though. I'm a HUGE believer now that I've seen how quickly it has worked on me.

Make sure you load on lots and lots of fats instead of carbs so that you won't feel hungry once you start your VLCD.

Good Luck! I can't wait to see your results!

Hi Girls! Just wanted to check in before I head to school.
R1P2VLCD17. I am down 10.6 lbs which brings me to 153.6. I sure wish it would come off faster, but I guess 10lbs in just over 2 weeks is not too terribly bad. I think I was fighting with a set-point in my weight for a few days. I feel pretty good except for Mondays/Wednesdays in the afternoon. I teach preschool and it is quite a physical job! (don't think I really thought that until I started this diet!) anyway, I get completely WORN out. So much that I have to lay down while I listen to my 7 yo do his reading homework. I also don't seem to lose after those days. I keep my water intake up, so I don't know what it is. Anyway, maybe tomorrow will break that trend! (trying to keep positive)

anyway, hope you all have a great day! Will check in later~

Okay, I take back what I've been saying about grapefruit. I got the red one, and with Splenda it wasn't bad! I can definitely see myself using it as my fruit.

And, yes, yes, I use Splenda and I'm not going to stop.

Also, only lost one pound over the last two days, so the grand total so far is P2VLCD18 and 16.4 pounds released.

Also, only lost one pound over the last two days, so the grand total so far is P2VLCD18 and 16.4 pounds released.
You're doing GREAT, girl! Glad you took a leap of faith into 'grapefruit land' again! Yeah, those Red Ruby's rock!!! I tried cutting them like I cut up an orange and it worked pretty well. I just peeled whatever skin was there and scooped up the 'meat' part with my mouth! I think I got more fruit that way too!

computer was broke for a while and now i'm back. i started with homeopathic drops about 2 weeks ago but honestly, doing it on my own, and remembering drops 6x a day wasn't working for me, so i took the plunge and i (re)started tuesday and am going to an actual dr and doing weigh in's - etc - i really need that accountability and i switched to injections - they told me it didn't matter that i was doing homeo drops because it's not pure hcg so it doesn't affect me, so tomorrow i will "re" begin my first VLCD - i loaded for 2 days and gained 15lbs - wow - i'm also on birth control and my last pill was on sunday so i know this week will be my . week so i guess that might contribute to it as well but i feel disgusting and i'm to the point where i can't wait to begin tomorrow.

i'm at 225lbs right now...and i have been saying prayers that this diet will work - i'm hoping the injections will be better for me - just once a day - and that i can stick to this....i'm so tired of being disgusted with myself - i'll be back here now on the regular

i have been reading everyone's posts from my cell phone but i can't post - so i been keeping up - EVERYONE IS DOING GREAT! I really look up to ya'll!

I've heard such mixed reviews about the hHCG I thought I was taking a huge gamble. I REALLY want to start!!!

But going to Charleston on VLCD is NOT a good idea
Honestly guys the ones who tell you the homeopathic hcg won't work or won't affect you are the ones selling you THEIR program and making MONEY on it if you talk to ANYONE who has used it(HHCG) it works!!

no loss for me today but stress and no Bernice and a diet rite soda watching LOST last night probably didn't help any so already have 2 bottles of water down have a 24 oz one here on the computer table along with my iced coffee! oh and i had a glass of Natural Calm! we are going to get Bernice here one way or another!!

Deb ~ I totally 100% agree on the homeopathic working - I'm down nearly 50 pounds so far Whoever is telling you that hhcg doesn't work is probably making a LOT of money off of you on injections.
