Hello ladies! Can I join your group? I just received my hHCG and I’m planning on loading this weekend (I’m going to Charleston, SC for a wedding, the land flowing with fried food and butter yay!) and starting my VLCD on Monday of next week. I’ve been lurking and trying to read the older threads but I wanted to go ahead and introduce myself. A little bit about me… I originally lost about 100lbs on Atkins last year and I was doing pretty well, but I still hadn’t lost all of the weight I wanted to lose. And THEN the Christmas season hit so not only was I not losing, but I regained probably about 20lbs (yikes). I just recently got my control back, but I’m still not losing consistently because I think my body is just smaller and I don’t know where I need to be to actually LOSE weight anymore. I tried Stillman’s for awhile but my body did NOT like it so I’m sort of trying this as a last resort. If this doesn’t work I have no idea what I’ll do. Anyway, I’ve seen all of your results and they’ve been very encouraging and I read Pounds and Inches and it blew me away, so I’m hoping this is it! I do have a few questions for the group, please see the below, I’d love to hear your answers!
Does anybody combine veggies? Like if I wanted to eat salsa or make some kind of soup would that be ok? Is anyone using chicken stock to cook with? Are most of the people on this board hHCG or rx? Has anyone done both? What have your results been for each? Has anyone noticed a reduction in their arms? I don’t know if that is “abnormal fat.” I know its “abnormally” ugly on me!! Is anyone doing “non-strenuous” exercise? Do you think it has helped? I’m a little afraid of the fruit and bread, has anyone noticed anything in regards to specific fruits? Like do you lose better when you eat lower glycemic fruit? I’ve seen mixed comments on TOM. Does everyone here dose throughout? OR does everyone quit dosing during TOM? I think that’s all for now! Thanks in advance for your answers. I also think I’m going to try the dry skin brushing thing because I have some unsightly stretch marks on my arms so I’ll let you know my results from that too! |

One more thing, does anyone drop their drops into a spoon or something instead of directly into their mouth to prevent contamination of their hHCG? Thanks!

, Newjeneed !There is a specific plan we follow on hcg in Dr. Simeon's book Pounds and Inches. Have you read it yet ? It tells you exactly what fruits, veggies, proteins to have. We don't really have "breads", either melba toast or grissini. Some people use low salt chicken broth but I think chicken stock may have sugar in it. You can't mix your veggies but just have one at lunch and the other at dinner. It is very important to follow the protocol because that is how you get great losses with hcg ! Most people on hhcg dose during TOM. Some people here really exercise, like marathons ! Others walk regularly. I don't lift a finger hardly. ![]()

Wouldn't the spoon contaminate it? I thought they weren't supposed to touch anything. I use the spray so I don't really know but I would think if there's any dish soap residue on the spoon it wouldn't work????

Welcome New! Congratulations on 100lb lost with Atkins!![]() I hope HCG can give you what you are looking for. As to the questions: Mixing Veggies: That is a Newbie No-no. While some do mix veggies, that is a cardinal rule in P&I to NOT do that. Even though many find they lose weight still, you will never know if you could have lost more if you start out mixing and things go wrong. Try doing the first round straight as an arrow and then see about tweaking either your second round or after you've been on the juice at least a couple of weeks to see what it does for you. There are many soups and salad you can make without "mixing" veggies and tempting fate. For example having a coleslaw with apple for extra sweet and crunch, or a lettuce salad with orange wedges. Chicken Broth: Yeah, Use it! Hhcg vs Rx: Well I personally use Rx Injections, but people have done both and will chime in. I've heard people say as far as losses they have similar results. It's usually up to convenience and personal preferrence. Don't forget here is also a recipe for sublingual that uses Rx Hcg but you hold it under your tongue rather than inject. My first couple of rounds I did notice some changes in my arms and thighs. but they were smallish to begin with so a half in to an inch lost on my arms was not my goal. Give me that loss on my belly and I"ll be happier. Non-strenuous Exercise: Whatever you are doing now, you can continue to do on HCG. Just don't increase or start a new exercise that you are not comfortable with. If you run 5 miles a day, yuo can keep doing that. If you do Pilates, you can keep doing that, . . . if you do nothing, Keep doing that, though you will want to move more as you lose weight but keep it mild and easy, don't try to shred, rip or burn anything. Afraid of Food Choices: The diet was designed with these food choices for optimal weight loss and balance. Don't leave anything out. You don't want your body to freak out when you start adding starches cause you were without starches during P3. The Dr.S said that if you have to make changes to the food choices because of cultural differences to make sure you have 200g of meat, and some starch. He wouldn't have mentioned the starch specifically if it weren't important. Some people find better losses with grapefruit. I'm biased cause I like Gf and it has a reputation for aiding fat loss already. You can stick with the lower calorie veggies and that allows you to have more food, volume wise and be more satisfied, but sometimes a bowl of beef and tomato chili, while small, can be very satisfying. Tom?: Can't comment on Tom, but I know many who dose right through it. Hope that helps, Keep re-reading Pounds and Inches, Things jump out at you at subsequent readings, It is your Manual, Follow it well! ![]()

Oh, yeah, that makes sense. Maybe it's best to just have some extra droppers on hand.

Question - so today is my last shot day on phase 2 - I'm at 122.6, If I drop to 122 by tomorrow morning can I use that as my stabilizing weight???? Does that make sense???

Today is your LIW (Last Injection Weight). You will not dose or inject tomorrow. So your P3 window is from 120.6-124.6. You can still lose the next 72 hours and it will give you more cushion in P3. You want to stay within your stabilizing window for P3. HTH

Right I know that but I was wondering if tomorrow I'm at 122 if I can just use that as my LIW instead (even though I know it isn't) or if that will just mess things up

uugghh!!!! I was up .5 this morning. I think water was the culprit. As in...not enough of it yesterday. I think we should all stand under the shower with our mouths open, just to be sure.

You can do whatever you want! It's really not that big of a deal - it's only 0.6 pounds. Plus, you don't know yet what you will weigh tomorrow.

I found out that is has to do with being warm/hot after taking a shower. I guess because heat rises and the temperature of the room didn't change, your weight will register lower but it's not "real" weight. Once your body temperature goes back to normal you will weigh what you did before your shower. Pretty interesting though ![]() |

As long as their weight stays within two pounds of the weight reached on the day of the last injection, patients should take no notice of any increase but the moment the scale goes beyond two pounds, even if this is only a few ounces, they must on that same day entirely skip breakfast and lunch but take plenty to drink. In the evening they must eat a huge steak with only an apple or a raw tomato. Of course this rule applies only to the morning weight. |

So...just came from Hy-Vee. I bought some Marie's Blue cheesse dressing for the upcoming P3. I ...SO WANT... to be ready for it.
And, I bought some wf blue cheese for the "here and now". I have a feeling that it will be used as a dip for my "hot" chicken. I finger tested it...and can't see me ruining some perfectly defenseless lettuce with it. But....maybe its better after some "chill time" in the frig. JAN |

30 more days of P2. I'm not at all hungry, seriously I could go w/o eating if I had to. I mean, I'm definitely not doing that, but that's how not hungry I am.
BUT. I'm bored! And it's not a question of recipes or whatnot, the tiny amounts of food get eaten so fast! And walking through a supermarket... 30 more days. It's worth it, I'm on VLCD 17 and am down 15.4 pounds total. I don't count load weight! |
