Hello everyone! My official weigh in day at my doctor's office r1p2vlcd22...20 pounds down. I was hoping for more, cause I have so far to go, but I will take it. Decided to go the 40 days (or whatever it is..I'll worry about it when I get there). I'm taking it a day at a time..a week at a time.

Gracie...great release! You are on your way!!
Deb - nice work on the mile..I just restarted walking too, and setting some personal goals there.

You girls will have to forgive me, I have to ask this again. I can't find the phase 2 chili recipe, and I can't find the recipe thread....I know my age is showing here, but trying to navigate the system...I'll get there eventually....help?

Which weight is my starting weight?

Do I use the weight I was on the first loading day or the weight I was on the first day of VLCD? I'm confused. TIA!

20 pounds in 22 days is AMAZING !! You are doing even better than what Dr. Simeons projected for women (.6 pounds per day - which would be 13.2 pounds for 22 days). I hope I can do as well as you !

I use 3.5 ounces of 95% lean ground beef and sautee it in a skillet til brown. Then I add 1/2 can of No Sodium added diced tomatoes, chili powder, salt, and pepper. I simmer for about 5 minutes. LOVE IT!!!!

P2 - Easy Hearty Flavor Chili

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Easy Hearty Flavored Chili
100g 95%lean ground beef
160g Hunts Fire Roasted Tomatoes w/ Garlic, or home roasted tomatoes
1/2t chili powder
1/2 t onion powder
1/2 t garlic powder
1/2 t Hershey dark Cocoa powder ( don't leave out, it is crucial)
pinch of salt, and black pepper to taste, and a shake of cayenne for punch!

Add raw beef, onion pwder, garlic pwder, S&P, and cocoa powder to sauce pan and cook till it crumbles easily. I added the juice from the tomatos to help start the heat transfer. Stir in tomatoes and let simmer 5 minutes till hot. Serve with grissini stick crumbled on top or take chomping bites with each spoonful (warning grissini get soggy really quickly)

Here is the one I use.

Everyone's food/menu's sound delish! I've been keeping it pretty simple, but time to try a few new things.

Lynne - how are you doing with your ******? I put all my food I'm eating today into it, and came up to 586...I'm having 1 small apple (which I put in counts from the bag), 3.5 oz beef, 1 c lettuce, 1 cup strawberries, 3.5 oz chicken, cabbage...and of course, my water and teas, etc. I've used ****** a few years now and always wondered about the accuracy and decided to enter the counts right from the package of the food I buy. I was just curious what my calories were for the day..

I stopped using ****** a while ago. There was a huge discrepancy between their numbers and those of other sites, depending on what you chose. I'm just sticking with weighing my protein, having a large serving of vegetables, and my fruit. The apple and half grapefruit don't require any measuring, but I usually try to stick to either 1 cup (about 50 calories) or 2 cups, depending on how much of my veggies I had or the type of protein. If I had beef, I would stick to 1 cup because the beef is higher in calories.

Dawn doesn't count calories either and she has done fabulously!

That does not sound right at all. 3.5oz raw chicken is only 110 calories, 1 cup lettuce is like 3 calories, 1 cup strawberries is about 50 calories, 1 small apple is around 75 calories, 3.5 ounces raw beef 95/5 is around 130 calories..and you could use an entire head of raw nappa cabbage ant it's only 40 calories. So all that is only 410 calories..not sure how it came up to 586.

I stopped counting calories after the first week. I just weigh all my meat raw and put it in ziploc baggies in the freezer so it's easy to just pull a serving out.

Sunday, I did not bring my food or drops with me. It was all day and I caved and ate 1/4 chicken quesadille at Qdoba. Argh. But I was sooo hungry and the food looked so good. I should have brought some fruit and h/b eggs.

Alrighty...I'm back folks.

I messed up. Went out of town, Easter, got sick. But, I'm all restarted and raring to go. I lost over 1lb average for the first 23 days. I'm hoping to come close to that this time. I plan to make this closer to a full 40 day cycle, though.

I only have a little hhcg left--here's hoping my new bottle gets here in time!
