You can take an interruption as long as you've had 21 effective doses of the hcg. So, it's actually 23 days because you need 21 effective doses and then 48 hours without. I'm not sure how far along you are but it's very specific that you don't break before those effective doses. I've taken interruptions but only after 23 days. I'm not sure what would happen but it is not recommended in Pounds & Inches.

Thanks, Gracie. It would be 16 effective doses. out of curiousity, do you continue taking the hhcg on your interruption day?

No, you don't take the hhcg on your interruption days. Remember the hhcg releases an extra 1500-4000 calories into your system each day so you definitely do not want to eat P3 style while on hhcg. You also have to make sure you waited the 48 hours without the hhcg before starting an interruption. I believe an interruption can last up to 14 days. You are supposed to eat P3 style and also not go above or below your two pound window from your LDW. HTH

I didn't end up starting today! I didn't have anything ready....and I gave in to the left over ham! I will get everything ready and start tomorrow.
I had good intentions but I am only home for 15 min for lunch and that was not enough time.
I was really hoping I would start today!!!

Hello everyone! I've been gone and finally back home. Weight is okay, but not as good as the previous 2 week. I'm 207 today, so we will see what tomorrow brings as that's my "official" weigh day....r1p2vlcd21...down 19, so this weekend hurt me somewhat.

Is there a recipe book somewhere to follow, or can some of you post your favorite things you have come up with for this phase? Do we have a recipe thread for hcg somewhere? Any help in the food department would be great....
Are we allowed to have the walden farms dressing you are talking about in Phase 2? Any other great suggestions because I think I'm going to stay on another 3 weeks and I will definitely need a new menu Have a great night everyone!

There is a sticky at the top of "Other Plans" for HCG recipes and there are some really good ones in there! Most of them indicate if they are for P2 or P3 but if not you should be able to tell from the ingredients.

Lots of people use the Walden Farms products in P2 which no problem. Personally, I think they taste awful so I stick to ACV for salads.

Today would have been my first day on P3 but I've decided to stay on P2 for a few more weeks myself!

Are pickles Okay on P2? I've made some from scratch and left out the sugar. Just curious...

I went to Fresh Market today and got all kinds of goodies! I got 2 bags of Jazz apples, organic strawberries, some beautiful sea scallops, some fresh lump crab, and some baby romaine. I think I'll have crab for lunch on a bed of romaine with strawberries for dessert. I'm going to make another batch of P2 chili with ground chicken and I'll have that for dinner.

If you made the pickles yourself with no sugar, then you should be able to have them. Pickles are usually just cucumbers, vinegar, and salt and maybe some other spices..all of which are on protocol. Just be careful if you put a lot of salt in it because then you may retain some water

Today is R1P2VLCD16 and zero loss..I have definitely hit the dreaded plateau since that is 4 days now at the same weight. It's okay though, I know it will pass and I am just going to wait it out. At this point, I have no desire to do an apple day..according to simeon's they are just purely psychological anyways and the plateau will correct itself on it's own. But since I'm already on day 16 and not really close to what I wanted to lose on this round, I am going to extend it past the 23 days..not sure by how long but just know it's going to be longer than 23 days.

Don't worry, the plateaus are very normal and actually a good thing. Your body is refilling your empty fat cells with water to try and hold onto them. In a day or so you will have a nice release and your fat cells will be gone! It's explained "scientifically" somewhere but that's my take on it! I did an apple day once and my tummy did not like it at all. I agree, just wait out and you'll see a nice release soon.

I love crab!! I am just too cheap to buy the lump crab! They do sell snow crab pretty cheap at albertson's but I could probably eat 2 pounds of it so I'm just waiting until P3 to have it. Still I am so jealous of you!

I still have not made the chili. I think it's because I don't want to give up my veggie to make it..lol! I plan on making a huge crockpot full of chili though once I get to P3..actually I think my boyfriend can't wait for me to get to P3 since I will cook for the both of us again.

For those of you who substitute the wasa cracker for grissini - how many crackers do we a get per day on Phase 2 ?

I am R1P2VLCD1. I gained 3.8 pounds during loading.

Sorry, I haven't used the Wasa crackers but I know the melba toast is 20 calories - so just figure out how many crackers equal 20 calories. I eat 1 melba toast at lunch and another at dinner. HTH
