Hi all!

I'm down another two for a total of 11 pounds in the three days since I started vlcd. WOW.

I've had twinges of hunger--real hunger, not just emptiness. But it passes pretty quickly. Nothing I can't handle. It was worse before I started tapping the bottle. (thanks for that advice) Plus, I remembered that I said I'd expect a little more hunger since I started on the day I got TOM. Maybe that affected the effectiveness of the drops as far as appetite suppression.

I'm hoping I get back to having that full feeling that I had the first two days (load days) when it was hard to even make myself eat.

I'm thrilled with the losses though! WOW.

Ok, I got down 1/2 pint of premium ice cream before I had to stop this morning, Day 1, load day! I'm just NOT used to having it for breakfast! UGH.

Then I read several posts and threads about NOT loading on sugars, which I knew but was thinking more of sweets like candy, pie, cookies, etc., not ice cream. I was thinking of the fat of the ice cream. Now I'm thinking I may not have to load so much since, having been on Atkins up to today, I already have been eating butter, oil, eggs, mayo, cheese, cream, etc. Should I just make sure I eat plenty of those things and call it ok? I don't want to SUGAR detox come Day 3 and VLCD!

Also, my hHCG says 10 drops 3x a day and that's not much at all. I put it in a glass first so I know how much to fill the eyedropper with. Had a tiny tingle but nothing to get excited about. I don't think there's any alcohol in mine.

mine was 15 drops 3x and that worked out to be .5ml or 1/2 a dropperful so i just got the 1/2 dropperful and didn't count anymore after that!
have some kind of chocolate for me!!

one lady posted about her loading days
Quote:
For example, if you are a bread person, smother it in real butter or drench it
in seasoned olive oil. If ice cream is your thing, choose the highest fat
version you can (Ben&Jerry'e is good), then make a cream shake. Use
the ice cream and add full fat cream to it to get it to the consistancy you
like.Have the pizza, but only eat the toppings. Have the biggest fattest burger, but don't eat the bread. Again, you want to think FAT,
PROTEIN, then carbs. Other options, homemade guacamole using
bacon for dipping. I make a chocolate cream cheese protein pudding
that is great, I'll tell you how to make it if you like.

Basically the more fat and protein you load with the less "real" hunger you
will have. And, if you want to you can load for 3 days instead of 2
You will gain weight on the hCG load days, but don’t worry, what you gain and then some will quickly come off in a few days and actually on my first round i lost on the loading days too!

On a super-clean hcg watch for the duration of Round 1. I need to see more movement. Today is hair day (yeah, I bought a wig so I won't have to use the oils and daily conditioners necessary to for my hair type), after shampooing I'm going to braid it down and keep it clean with witch hazel. I have my mineral oil for skin, and dove pure soaps.

Food-wise, I think my menu is pretty good and true to protocol, but need to start drinking my teas (dieter's) daily to help move things along.

I started my VLCD last saturday (and remember I was starving for 3 days), but I'm happy to report that 1 - I'm not hungry anymore and 2 - I've lost 10 pounds. I feel like I'm getting in the groove of things now. I have to take 500 mg of potassium though to keep from fierce leg aches and leg cramps.

Hello Everyone,
Today is officially 1 week for me since starting and I am down 7 pds!! I am happy with 1 pd per day, that is kinda what I was expecting to lose. To be honest I could probably be down more, but I have been having a protein shake for breakfast and my sugar free Starbucks coffee, which I know neither are on protocal.

Yesterday was my first day skipping an injection, and I didnt feel hungry at all so that was a huge relief.

Today is my sons 3rd bday party at Chuck E Cheese, it will be a test for me, pizza and bday cake and I need to skip both!! I plan to eat before we go so I wont feel hungry what so ever, I am doing so well, I dont wanna mess it up.

I hope everyone has a great weekend,

Kelly

I thought about shampoo, soap, deodorant and toothpaste this morning while in the shower! Do I need to find those products WITHOUT oils????

Baking soda & sea salt would work for toothpaste, but I have no clue how to sub the other things!

Actually you can use baking soda for deodorant as well. I've done that in my quest for more 'natural' products and it works very well.

I do have some ivory soap but not sure what's in it these days. Shampoo tho, wow, can't go without washing my hair for 40 days!!! Maybe with ivory soap???

Wonderful news! YAY!!

I'm a bit hungry and I was afraid it meant the HCG wasn't working. My weight loss suggests it is, but I was afraid I was just starving it out of me and the HCG was ineffective for whatever reason. Nice to hear that you rebounded from being hungry.

I'm thinking I didn't load well enough. How about you?

Could you use shampoo for oily hair? I would assume it wouldn't have any oils in it.

I remember my grandma making us use baking soda under arm when we ran out of deodorant..wow. Yeah baking soda and it's million uses.

I don't need to wash my hair but weekly. My only unfortunate thing is that I must deep condition my hair. . There is no way for me to get around that. If my hair isn't moisturized it will become extremely brittle and break off. But fortunately I'm still losing effectively, but I cut it down to every other week conditioning tho.

I've been using Jason Naturals conditioner with no problems.
Jason Naturals lotion has sunflower oil (which I use) and I have had no problems. I'm not sure if the shampoo and conditioners also have oil, if they do they have also had no negatives for me as I use that brand of shampoo and conditioner.

I found alba shampoo and conditioner. Its $8 a bottle, but it works great and smells great. I got it at Wal Mart! It was with the burts bees stuff though, not with the regular shampoos.

Well, my first day went fine. I didn't stuff myself but I did eat way more than normal. Went to Bob Evans restaurant for an eggs, bacon, hash browns, biscuits and OJ breakfast!! Had a half pint of Ben & Jerry's when I first got up. That was VERY hard to shove down despite loving that stuff. Had frozen pizza last night. Only ate half of a small one. Then had another pint of ice cream. This morning I weighed THREE AND A HALF POUNDS MORE!!!! Ok, Ok, I'm cool, not freaking, nope, not me. AHEM.

My HCG drops tingled a bit which I guess means they're working. Today's I'm doing McDonald's angus burger, fries and a milkshake and later, hmmm, I'm thinking something that includes baked potatoes, cheese, sour cream, butter and bacon bits! Maybe some fried chicken??? Oh yeah, shoving in some peanut M&Ms all through the day, too, which is more sugar than fat, but I had to have some chocolate!

On another note, I know weighing every day is good, but do you all measure every day too?

Chugging along ....

Sounds like your doing well! Don't worry about the load weight, I loss all 5.2 lbs of my load weight by VLCD 3. I don't measure everyday, I try to measure about once a week.

I read in my instructions that *most people would not be hungry* *some people will be a little hungry* and *a few people would be very hungry* Unfortunately I was flat out miserable - and weak, and light headed. I'm happy to say that I made it through that and all of those are gone. I'm empty now-but not miserable or starving. I easily walked 2 miles yesterday and could have done much more. So it gets easier for those of you struggling a bit in the first days.

I think I'll just measure once a week myself. Too much hassle to do it daily. It all works out in the end anyhow.

Bloated like a beached whale today. Just had McD's angus burger, fries & milkshake. OY I'm so stuffed.

Thanks for the encouragement. Today's better already!

I lost another pound. Down 12 since Wednesday as of today (Sunday morning).

YAY!

I weigh daily and I have a blank calendar and write the number in on my refrigerator. When I do something wrong i write that too so I can see what the cost of it was. Helps keep me on track. Have m&ms for me...yum!

You go, Tiffany!
