I can't do the VLCD diet and take this medication because I normally don't eat breakfast and I have to. So I thought I will take a 10 day break. I already didn't do well today because at the time I finished with the doctor and bought the medication it was 5PM. So I ate my dinner about 530P so I can take the antibiotic. Then I have to take the other medication about 9P but I didn't think a fruit or grissini will be enough and it was all I have left to eat so I made a 3 egg omelet (1 full egg and 2 eggs white) with onions. So I already messed up the diet for today. Should I do the VLCD diet tomorrow except I need to add eggs for breakfast to take the med. Or should I eat Atkins induction for the next 10 days or go to P3 no sugar no starch. This medication got me all confused. I was prescribed an antibiotic last week and I just took one with lunch and felt so sick I didn't take anymore. I thought I could go without it but my infection got worse and now I needed additional medication so I made myself worse in a way. Got different antibiotic and so far I haven't feel sick. Doctor told me to take probiotics at least 3 times a day. Help!! This is R3 and I have never done an interruption before.
Wow this is a lot to go through. I don't think you did too badly today diet wise, as you mainly added extra protocol legal protein. Don't feel bad, you have to take care of your health first and foremost, and take your meds as scheduled until they are done.

I just did an interruption. You have to do your last 48-72/no hcg hours just like before you go into p3. Looks like you got your first 24 hours over with. If I were you, I'd up my cals with protein as Dr. S. advised to do when you meet your goal weight but haven't finished the 21 days. I believe he advised to up it to about 800 calories. Would that give you enough food to cover your meds? If not, then I would add more p2 foods (proteins and veggies) so that you can take your meds as prescribed. Again, this is only what I would do in your place. Once the hcg is out of your system, you can eat p3 style until you are ready to restart p2. How long do you need to be on the meds? You can resume p2 without loading if you start again within 14 days. Count today as your first interruption day. The day you restart p2 will be vlcd 23.

I hope this helps. Get well soon!

Thanks so much for the info. I have to take the antibiotics for 10 days so I can go right back to P2 without loading. I will do the 800 calories that should be enough. Thanks again.

Good morning All. Today is R3P3D6, and my weight is 182.5, a 2 lb. gain from yesterday. Sunday I ate about 3500 calories, and weighed 180.5. Yesterday. Yesterday I ate about 2200 calories, and today my weight is 182.5 lbs. It must be a delayed reaction from Sunday, thats all I can think of. Well if I'm the same tomorrow I will do an egg CD. Today I believe I'll have more time to reply to post. Thank you guys for your support and kind words. Without you this would be a much tougher journey.
Everyone have a great and INTENTIONAL day.

Good morning to all- well only a .2 loss this morning- ARGHHHH It is getting frustrating since I have been losing and gaining only .2 these last 4 days... I'm just starting week 4 and have done fairly well thus far- about -17 lbs gone but don't know why these last 4 days have been not good... who knows- haven't been doing anything different so I'll keep plugging along and maybe get in more water like I should be- gets frustrating when I see DH doing so well- I know men lose faster than women but still makes me kinda upset?!?!
anyhow off for now good day to all....

Stalled for three days now at 171.2...going to do an apple day (I'm actually excited...I have really good apples!). My fear though is that the roads are terrible and Va is getting another two days of snow (AAAARRRRGGGHHHHHH) so I have no idea when and if I'm getting more food, which may mean a fruitless few days of protocol for Em

Fit - I am in the same boat with you!! Since we are on the same day, it must just be this time of the protocol. I finally had a good loss this morning but that is after gain, loss, nothing, gain, loss, nothing. So, hopefully the loss will stay off tomorrow. Hang in there, I hear that it does get better.

Update from the Snowpocalypse (even though I hate how much people are using the word "Snowpocalypse"): my first (and only!) class today was canceled, so I made it to Kroger before the worst of the snow and now have strawberries!!! Apple-ing today, and back to a normal p2 menu tomorrow

Blood Sugar

Towards the end of a course or when a patient has nearly reached his normal weight it occasionally happens that the blood sugar drops below normal, and we have even seen this in patients who had an abnormally high blood sugar before treatment. Such an attack of hypoglycemia is almost identical with the one seen in diabetics who have taken too much insulin. The attack comes on suddenly; there is the same feeling of light-headedness, weakness in the knees, trembling, and unmotivated sweating; but under HCG, hypoglycemia does not produce any feeling of hunger. All these symptoms are almost instantly relieved by taking two heaped teaspoons of sugar.

In the course of treatment the possibility of such an attack is explained to those patients who are in a phase in which a drop in blood sugar may occur. They are instructed to keep sugar or glucose sweets handy, particularly when driving a car. They are also told to watch the effect of taking sugar very carefully and report the following day. This is important, because anxious patients to whom such an attack has been explained are apt to take sugar unnecessarily, in which case it inevitably produces a gain in weight and does not dramatically relieve the symptoms for which it was taken, proving that these were not due to hypoglycemia. Some patients mistake the effects of emotional stress for hypoglycemia. When the symptoms are quickly relieved by sugar this is proof that they were indeed due to an abnormal lowering of the blood sugar, and in that case there is no increase in the weight on the following day. We always suggest that sugar be taken if the patient is in doubt.
i actually gav my DH a spoonful of plain sugar and a small glass of orange juice and it took care of it! turned out he had not eaten his fruit for days! so i was really glad to find the help i needed in P&I and seems like the Dr did include everything for a reason HTH oh and like it says he did not have a gain from it

Once such an attack has been relieved with sugar we have never seen it recur on the immediately subsequent days, and only very rarely does a patient have two such attacks separated by several days during a course of treatment. In patients who have not eaten sufficiently during the first two days of treatment we sometimes give sugar when the minor symptoms usually felt during the first three days of treatment continue beyond that time, and in some cases this has seemed to speed up the euphoria ordinarily associated with the HCG method.

Coconut oil is NOT on the P&I List of protocol foods, so No I don't eat it. When not on P2, I am all over coconut oil!!! Not only do you have to ask yourself about losing weight while using it, you have to ask yourself "how will I stabilize after using it?" I have heard of some on yahoo groups that have used coconut oil while in P2 have trouble stabilizing on P3.

Just some things to consider when thinking of going or using "off protocol" things!!

Hmmm, when doing P2 I often stalled three days then on the next day had a weight loss. Maybe you could give it one more day and see what tomorrow brings. Wishing you a big loss and plenty of fruit to keep you happy.

Darn...0 loss today. This is after the 2lb drop yesterday so I guess I shouldn't complain. Maybe I should go get a scale that gives more than 1/2 lb increments.

Dawnyama...I was once your size. I can't wait to see your progress. Good luck!

Daily check-in - Egg day

Good morning All. Today is R3P3D7, and my weight is 183 lbs, a .5 lb gain from yesterday. So, guess what? It's Egg Day. I didn't want to do any CD's, but I guess I have to. I haven't done any walking with how busy I've been with Mom. Hopefully, I'll start back up in a few days, she should be in her apartment by this weekend. I haven't had alot of luck finding furniture, but we're geting there. Got a great dinette set cheap, and we just about have the complete bedroom set. Thats all she needs to move in. Gotta go now, see you guys later, I hope.
Every one have a great and INTENTIONAL day.

good morning to all and happy hump day!! Wishing it was the wknd but guess we'll get there eventually... well scale only showed a .4 loss this morning ~~ been up and down the same .4 since Sat- getting very frustrated to say the least- especially when I see DH losing .8 here and there every day- week 4 has been a tough one for me.... this is the first time on protocol where I am getting VERY frustrated to say the least.... don't know why I am not losing just makes me very upset.... This is our P1R2 and for the most part it has been a great journey but week 4 here has not been a good one for me to say the least..... so anyhow hope you all have a great day and will ck in tomorrow ~~ Sorry for being such a downer and grumpy this morning but hey we're allowed that at least once or twice on protocol aren't we?!?! ok off for now gang

Hmmmmm....maybe I should have waited on that apple day? I'm a bit frustrated this morning. I stalled for three days at the same weight, and did an apple day yesterday, and now I'm down .6 lbs. I know a loss is a loss, and I'm sooooooo close to the 160's, but maybe that's why I'm so frustrated it wasn't a bigger apple day loss? Clean p2 today with lots of water (and TEA! My Goddess, my room is FREEZING!) and hoping to say hello to the 160's soon!
I'm also thinking that it would be so great if I could lose a bunch more this round and not have to do another round in the spring...this skin thing is getting totally ridiculous. I've been keeping it in check with Benadryl but even that's starting to be less effective.
Yargh. Frustrated this morning. I blame the weather.
