I eat one apple as my only fruit. My apples are usually about 8 oz. each.

---------------------------

Ok, so I took a break from 12/28 through tomorrow, 1/3. On 12/28 I was 152.8. This morning, I was 158-something. Tomorrow's sunday and I'd be skipping my hCG anyway, so I'm going to just try to eat decently, not 500 cals since I don't have any hCG in my system. On Monday, i'll pick back up the hCG, and have 15 more injections, and 19 more VLCDs before doing p3.

12/16-12/28 I lost 6.6 (not counting loading). I'm fairly sure this past week-ish of not being on protocol has pretty much put me back where I was, which was 159.4 on 12/28. So I'm pretty much going to throw out the first part of this round (pre-break) and start anew from 1/4 and finish up the 15 more injections/19 more VLCDs.

Hi Tracey. This is a correction round for me. I screwed up my stabilization phase in the last round with all of my cheats and was gaining like crazy. The correction days would get rid of the gains for a day or two bt the pounds came back. So I decided to do another round rather than continue with all of those correction days. It has definitely taught me the super importance of P3 (maybe the most important phase where no cheats should be allowed in ordr o reset the hypothalamus correctly). I am really hoping to do a better job this P3 coming up.

Sharon, you did P3 perfectly because it showed you what doesn't work for you! You're so brilliant!! Your next P3 will be a piece of cake (beautifully decorated by you, of course ) because you taught yourself such a valuable lesson

P4

It's been awhile since I've been on or posted. I'm at my parents house - enjoying Florida immensely. Maybe too much. I'm 6 lbs above LDW at this point. It's really hard to force myself to do a correction day in this situation and so far I haven't been able to. Even trying to eat P3 is hard when my Mom cooks something but hey, I may not make it down here for another two years so I've decided to enjoy myself. I am exercising, enjoying taking long walks in the great weather.

So - I'll get my weight back under control when I'm home and there is not temptation around every corner. I will have until early February to get back to LDW and I've been at the high range this entire P3/P4 anyway.

I've noticed I"m getting more attention from men in Florida. Maybe it's because I'm on vacation and have a different attitude. Maybe it's the book Dizzy told me to read, but hey, it's been nice.

I probably won't be on or post until I get back home next week. I hope everyone is doing great.

Anyway, this center offers optifast, another brand of liquid diet, phentermine and now TrimYou hCG which I assume is an injection. So here is my question.

Is there a thread on here or can anyone tell me more about hCG and the type of plans you follow? Knowing hCG is the pregnancy hormone, I'm wondering if this is going to make me super nauseous like it did every time I was pregnant. lol So, if anyone can direct me or give me their takes I would appreciate it!
I would start by reading thoroughly Dr. Simeon's Pounds and Inches, which is available on line free. This explains the original research and protocol. I personally chose not to do a clinic after reading the manuscript of Pounds and Inches and talking to several experienced HCGers...and made the decision to stay 100% Intentional to Dr. Simeon's way...you can see my results...far be it for me, who has attempted to lose weight for over 40 years to only end up 100+ lbs. obese,....to argue with the results. I am now on my third round and experiencing the same ration of lose as on the previous two. Good luck on your research. How smart of you to get facts before you make your decision...so many times I was so desperate to lose the fat that I didn't care WHAT IT WAS....also if HCG becomes your decision this group of folks on here are the best...straight "shooters" who tell you like it is in love and support....they are my lifeline to dieting success...my own kids and grandkids (who I literally would give my life for) would freak out if I shared with them what I share with this wonderful bunch of folks. Enjoy your researching time.

You absolutely can be as successful as those you read about here. Just get ahold of Dr. Simeon's original manuscript of Pounds and Inches and make it your HCG "bible" and follow it 100%...results guaranteed.

Hiya!

Quick update: My sort-of egg days brought me down 1.4 lbs - back under 120lbs but still 4.2 above LIW. I say sort-off because I had an Americano at CB&TL with half & half (Starbucks was closed so no HWC) and 2 tbsp cocoa & 1 tsbp of butter in my fav P3 choc pudding.

Unfortunately after another dinner out tonight I think I may be back up tomorrow. I am trying to be intentional about my indiscretions and acknowledging that I will have to suffer the consequences and make the necessary corrections but I am really having trouble staying committed to correction days and clean eating at the moment. The holiday feeling and eating out all the time are playing havoc with my willpower. I am really looking forward to going back to work on Monday and getting back into a routine and committing to some 100% correction days and clean eating to bring me back down.

On that note ... I was thinking about alternating my egg days/steak days with shake days next week. Has anyone used a beverage other than almond milk in their shakes ... maybe coconut milk or hemp milk?

Wishing everyone a wonderful first Sunday of 2010 tomorrow! We'll be taking down Christmas Lights - it'll be sad to acknowledge that the holidays are really over.

-C

I've always eaten both apples during P2 (and continued to eat an apple a day in P3). I would typically have my apple chopped up with spinach and apple cider vinegar with my lunch protein and then have it after my protein/veg at dinner. I didn't eat the grissini though. If I do another round I would like to try eating the grissini - some people theorize that not eating them can make you more carb sensitive afterwards. Not sure about that though?!?

Thanks for the welcome! Yeah, P3 is definitely a lot harder! I basically followed the advice to only add eggs in the morning at first, double the protein and add a little fat for the first week. Seemed to work. Fortunately in my most recent P3 I never had to correct but I do believe, like you say, that it is key to do it immediately. Your P3 seems to be going great so far - two weeks down and one to go! Would be interested to know what an average day of eating is like for you - care to share a menu?

BTW - Where's some success fairy dust for me? ;o)

Wow - that is amazing! What a wonderful break from the scale for a whole month! And then to find yourself down 5lbs after eating freely. Did you still exclude sugars/starches or did you eat those too?

Even though HCG is the pregnancy hormone is doesn't necessarily cause the same symptoms. Men take it too! The first week of VLCD can result in nausea, dizziness or headaches but this is more likely due to your body detoxing - I had already been low carbing so I wasn't detoxing from sugar but I had been drinking a lot of coffee, wine etc. I experienced headaches and diarrhea at first but most of these types of 'issues' typically pass after about 3-5 days.

It seems like I am experiencing a bit of what you did - the correction days result in pretty good losses but I usually have a bit of a bounce back the next day so the net loss usually isn't too great. I like the idea of a correction round. I'd like to have my LIW/LDW be 114 to that my stabilization window would be 112-116. I feel really comfortable at 116 but at the top end of my current range 117.8 my jeans are too tight. I worry though that I might have trouble with stabilization if I did another round - think maybe if it ain't too broke don't fix it. You'll do great on your upcoming P3 because there is so much support for you here and as Dizzy said ... you've learned what doesn't work and will know better this time. I Will be watching your P3 progress with interest.

Follow the P&I protocol and you will certainly have success - I am constantly amazed at how well this protocol works for everyone - regardless of age, sex, nationality etc. When you first start you will no doubt have questions and will find that this board is a wonderful place to get your questions answered.

Re-Read the WHOLE THING!

I re-read the Simeon's Manual.....even the boring parts!

I WAS happy to read this:

We explain that owing to the restricted diet it is perfectly satisfactory and normal tohave an evacuation of the bowel only once every three to four days and that, provided plenty of fluids are taken, this never leads to any disturbance.

SINCE.....Bernice has been absent since this diet began! sigh.......

It did make me feel better after reading about the normality of the issue:blush:

Yes. If you want to ensure regular visits though, take magnesium supplements. 500mg in the morning and 500 in the evening should keep you regular.

Let's reframe this: "I'm getting more attention from men because I'm so darn HOT!" Well bragged!!

Apparently Dr. S meant it when he said loading weight is usually lost within 48 hours!

Wow - that is amazing! What a wonderful break from the scale for a whole month! And then to find yourself down 5lbs after eating freely. Did you still exclude sugars/starches or did you eat those too?

This will be my first round of HCG and I have at least 6 or 7 rounds to do. Because of that, I decided that I wasn't going to limit myself at all through the month of December and yes, I even ate sugars and starches, a lot of them, really. I did pay a little bit of attention to trying to only eat while I was hungry and my portion sizes, but that's it. Honestly, it gives me hope that I'm going to do fine through P3, which is obviously always a concern.

First: on losing that load weight. I agree Dr. S's knows his stuff about HCG...that is why I just scratch my head when others insist on putting their own spin to his Pounds and Inches. As I have said and still preach--be 100% INTENTIONAL to his way and success is guaranteed. Tweak it, your choice, your journey but don't come whining and saying HCG does not work. HCG works, be accountable and say "well there is no reason why I can't [fill in the blank with whatever the change is] do this because this was written so looooong ago]. All that said to say, as I have said multiple times: HCG is the closest thing to a miracle for weight loss that I have ever found. My part? Must be 100% intentional to follow it as Dr. Simeon's wrote it. So far the hardest part for me to honor that is: first round P3 and last 2 weeks of P4; 2nd round P3 and last week of P4. Ah, I see a progression of someone stepping out of denial, owning 100% how she eats and owning the results. If I want to stabilize and maintain then I need to reset my metabolism. Hmmmm..big notes to self. But Dizzy you and Em are such living proof of when you do it Dr. S's way the results are awesome...thank you for setting such a fine example for all of us.
