I loved Washington state when I lived there (very briefly in the 80's) beautiful scenery, but I love warmer weather and Hawaii does sound like paradise! Glad you and your family are enjoying your vacation (will they be there the entire month too?). I don't know if I could stay on protocol and intentional while on vacation, so kudos to you!!!

Another questions: I was at work and am around food. Did great last night with no hunger and a ton of energy(could not say that MOnday night!) but when a lady mentioned to her friend about going to Taco Bell I thought how good that sounded. Now the thing is, I don't like Taco Bell on a normal basis, so I hope when entering P3 these weird intense smells and wanting food I normally don't want goes away. I love this feeling, though, way too much to cave in!
Starting week 2 tomorrow! Woke up, had that empy feeling, bad taste did my tea and now feel just fine, no hunger, etc. This will work!

Great first week!! Have you measured to see how much you are shrinking??

Yeah, I think you're right that I'm going to have to do something like that. I have some stuff that the Dr. gave me when I had knee surgery but I'll have to see if there's anything in it that's off protocol.

Thanks for the happy dance! hehe

Weight loss (pre-load weight-today): 32.4 pounds/17 inches
I wish I lost more inches, but hopefully I'll see more loss during P3/P4.

I did injections through a doctor's office - started at 200, losses slowed/hunger increased and they tried 250 for a week (made me SO hungry) and then dropped to 150 the last couple of weeks (MUCH better!). I suspect I've developed immunity because I only lost a little more than a pound the last week (except I lost .8 today).

I wanted to share some things from the doctor that aren't necessarily in "Pounds and Inches". They told me to eat red meat every day for lunch to have better losses. (I LOVED this!) I also found out yesterday that I wasn't supposed to have been using baby oil. I used it the entire time - sometimes even soaking in a bathtub with LOTS of it. He wants me to take a 7-8 week break from hcg before my next round (instead of 6). He wants me to do lots of strength training and exercise during P3/P4 to lose bodyfat/build muscle and hopefully lose 10 pounds, though he is primarily concerned with the building muscle aspect. (So - the losing additional weight is definitely contrary to the book. I think he wants me to do it mainly for mental reasons to get into one-derland - I'm at 208.6 now. Also the exercise should give me the inch loss I'm dying for.) He told me to take glutamine powder during P3/P4 - 2 grams with a light breakfast and 2 grams at bedtime.

I love reading the hcg threads because everyone is so helpful and having such success! It is a great feeling, isn't it? I honestly could NOT lose more than a few pounds before starting this. It is truly a miracle for me.

Very Impressive Chris! Great job on working so hard to stay with the protocol. Thanks for sharing your insights. My first round I did with a Dr. this round I am on my own. I loved your insights.

To lose 20 lbs. is terrific! If you are at the lower end of your weight....like I am too.....I only expect to lose between 15-22 lbs. Good Job!

Have your friend order the MEDIRAL Detox or Weight loss formulas.... Quite a few of us are doing this homeopathic option and are having success and with NO BASHING of the product.

Your losses are kind of on par w/other people in your weight range.
But Lindy's response was way more informative.... but from what I can tell from reading the board, for someone in your weight range, you're par for the course.

You're very right about that. I always know exactly what I want to eat and it's never anything good for me.

Slim, I did have a good morning but yesterday ended up being weird for me, y'all. I lost 3.2 pounds but here's what happened. Ok, I was having some MAJOR Bernice issues where I was in extreme pain. This started on my last loading day. I just couldn't live with it anymore and I ate a bowl of Fiber One yesterday and decided to do a modified half loading day again. Yes, I still lost and I feel sooooo much better now. I feel like I can really start over and I'm just going to extend my dosage days by one day at the end. What a relief!! I know some people won't agree with what I did, but it just felt like the right thing to do for my body and it looks like I was right since I had a loss anyway. I feel like a new woman today![/QUOTE]

Ok, I have some stuff that my Dr. gave me when I had knee surgery that's supposed to be a gentle laxative. It's Docusate Calcium. I wonder if that would be ok to try?

Sharon thank you. I'd probably be a goal now if I hadn't taken 2 interruptions this round. I think of that and get alittle bummed but then I realize that I did the right thing for me at the time.
My friends have seen my success and I they have the same as all of us! I didn't tell them at first what I was doing but kept getting asked so then I told them. One had done it in the past and just needs help staying on course so I'm hoping I can give her the support she needs. The other I gave a copy of P&I to read and told her if she was serious after reading I'd love to have company in this journey . She's coming over tonight to get help with mixin and menus as she'll start loading Sat. & Sun!

She is. She is actually the reason I started researching P&I as I'd heard her mention it before. She is now hoping she will succeed this time with having some local support and seeing that as long as you stick to it even when the going gets rough you'll lose. I I can help her stay intentional.

I have some HHCG and am considering doing another short round but NAET muscle testing has shown I am allergic to alcohol which is the delivery mechanisms for the HHCG I have and the MFC. Was wondering how this would affect the efficacy of HHCG ... maybe slower losses, more hunger ... any thoughts? (BTW - Have done two rounds of Rx HCG previously)

Actually, you ARE allowed to use baby oil (i.e. mineral oil). This is specifically mentioned as being allowed in P&I.

I feel like a new woman today!
What's a modified half loading day? Can you tell me what you ate besides the bowl of Fiber One?

It's nothing, really. Just what I did. lol I'll tell you but I would NOT recommend this to anyone and really, I had expected a gain today. Keep in mind, too, that I weigh over 300 pounds so my weight loss is going to be different than someone who weighs a lot less than me.

I ate the bowl of Fiber One, didn't drink the milk.
A couple hours after that I had a baked apple with cinnamon. My husband mentioned at that point that he thought I should do a bit more loading because we had talked to someone who went through a clinic and insisted that you should load for 3 days instead of 2. To be honest, I didn't feel good and I was hungry so I jumped on it as an excuse to eat last night. I had a plate of tater tot casserole, a sausage link, and some Canadian Smarties (like M&M's).

I don't know why I lost weight. I just know that I felt so much better last night and that I still feel good today. I'm right back on protocol and I'm just counting yesterday like a load day. I haven't had any hunger so far today and all I've had is my morning tea with a tablespoon of milk.

Thanks for sharing! You did the right thing - no point feeling miserable! If you feel better and in control then it was worth it - you were intentional about it.

As Simeons said short breaks are only a loss of time.

I don't think you need a laxative, just some bulk or stool softner. You don't want your body to start relying on a laxative to go!

Candy,
I really don't know the answer to your question. I think this is a question for Rob.

TGIF everyone!!

I'm on VLCD 6 today and I lost nothing on the scale this morning. This did not surprise me, as during round 1 I never registered loses for more than 4 days in a row. I was still kinda annoyed not to lose anything, considering Bernice finally paid me a visit yesterday.

I'm going to a show tonight with some friends, but I'm going to skip dinner beforehand. I don't think I'm up to trying to negotiate plain chicken breast with plain lettuce in a restaurant, while everyone else is chowing down. My friends can EAT and it's hard to be around that. That's part of the reason I was kinda like a hermit during r1. I'll have some chili before I meet them at the theater.

It really felt like the right thing for me. I don't regret it at all!

I researched it a bit and it is a stool softener, but it looks like there's corn oil in the capsules, so it may still be a no no.

Be careful what you ask him!! I just messaged him a question and he was very rude. He sent out another email rant about how tired he is of folks asking questions that he has already answered "ad nauseum". Sorry Rob...not nice
Just my 2 cents, though.

Don't know who Rob is ... so I won't try to find out. Don't want to give anyone "ad nauseum" ;o)

I'm seeing my NAET doc tomorrow so I'll ask her and share what she says in case anyone is interested.

You go girl!!

Ms Gritz I think I already mentioned that I added my progesterone cream back in on P2 and still lost an average of .6 lbs a day. And I have read that it helps prevent hair loss that results from a large loss of weight.

I just wanted to thank everyone who responded to my question regarding shots vs. HHCG. I really appreciate it!! I am going to try the HHCG to begin with, hopefully it will work for me, if not, then for R2 maybe I will switch to the shots. I'm placing my order today, so hopefully I can start by late next week. Whoo Hoo!!!

Just a quick check in to say hi and update. Today is day 21 of P3 for me and I am feeling great. I have been on vacation all week and haven't weighed since monday but my tightest jeans still fit fine and I have eaten on plan easily all week.

I am still amazed at how easy it was to stabilize and how my cravings have vanished. I had the evil bread basket sitting on my dinner table often with no desire to try even a taste, which before this protocol would never have happened.

I haven't had to do a correction day so far but am expecting tomorrow might be one due to the volumes of food I have consumed.

Happy losing everyone!
