I've learned I NEED to do loading days at the beginning of starting/restarting hcg. I just had a week break, and got back on hcg and started VLCD the same day. The first day I did okayfor most of the day, but ended up giving in and eating a brownie. Day 2...fugeddabodit. I had pizza, lots of chicken wings, some apple pie... Yesterday was day 3 on hcg and VLCD, and I stayed on VLCD all day without much of a problem. Today I've been on track, but i'm hungry. I'm waiting for my partner to get home with some lettuce so I can make my 2nd meal.

ETA: scratch that. I'm going to do some light "loading" today, to get and stay on track.

Oooooooookay. I got through my two loading days with a gain of 1.5 pounds. I started Day 1 of VLCD today, and I've done okay. I'm really cranky tonight and have that empty feeling, but I'm determined. I've got that detox feeling going on, and I'd probably slit somebody's throat for a Coke Zero right now.

Thanks Alisa, I'm thinking 23, which would make my LIW next Friday, but I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I might do a few interruption days and go a little longer if I want to lose a few more lbs.

I was wondering if those who have gone into "Virgin Territory" with their weight could share their thoughts of pushing themselves to do this. I have the mindset that I will never be out of the 140's. I look at the Vets who have done this and wondered what inspired you to keep going? Thanks for any replies!
Rachel, good job losing 3 lbs.

Just a little TMI: I should of started taking the Natural Calm the day before I started VLCD's because Bernice has been a no show since I stated back on VLCD's. My body must love the fat cause I'm somewhat reg. on P3. I took some Natural Calm yest. and will continue to take it everyday throughout P2. Hoping for a nice whoosh once it kicks in!

Bob, I won't call you a wussy cause since I've lost all of my insulation, I get cold now even when it's 72 in the house. I have to put on socks and a sweater when I'm relaxing watching TV. I haven't gotten to the point where I have reprogrammed my AC to a higher degree yet. I still like it cooler at night when I'm sleeping. It keeps those night sweats away. I hate when those interrupt my sleep. Once I stop having my own "personal summers" I will set the AC to a higher degree.

That is always my biggest challenge..the head/emotional hunger...so I ask my self (sometimes repeatedly R U reallllly HUNGRY)...if the answer (truth)is no..then I ask what are you hungry for? Pretty revealing..sometimes things I really don't want to admit. Stay 100% intentional and journey will bring you incredible success and insights as to why you used to eat. Have a good one.

Just returned

OK started day at 6 a.m. Hawaii time...my scales was back to where I was when I left on vacation and of course I was a little disappointed...was hoping for new territory..but what is, is...I was 100% spot on...so tomorrow is a new day. Still no snorkeling, high surf, but did an all day Hana trip..crawled down falls to pools (chilly for swimming--but had to do it): crawled thru a lava tube and got soaked when ocean rolled in...hopefully got some incredible pics...told my kids that when I die they are to put my ashes out there in the wild & so incredible ocean. Tonight is a night in...got my fresh lemonade made..and watiching the Nat'l Championship Football game..doubt if I make it through as I am TIRED...Bob, you and I started this journey together on another site..you are doing soooo great. Way to rock it. How's your wife doing?
Everyone else, not enough energy to "call you out" individually...but I am so excited for your successes and willingness to do the hard work to have a new skinny bod!!! I have reflected many times on the thrill of actually fitting in the airplane seat, not needing an extender for the seatbelt AND walking down the aisle straight on...not sideways. (Those were all things that kept me from going anywhere - shame, guilt, embarrasement). If I am going to say what has been my #1 mostest wonderful experience so far on this trip..that is it...gotta go, body says you are done, done DONE... to all.

Nothing HcG-wise to report but I had to recommend "It's Complicated" to all of you. I haven't laughed that hard at the movies in 25 years.

I ordered plain lettuce for dinner and took my own chicken, so I guess I did have an HcG report

I haven't been able to stabilize at all on this round (R1).
-Monday I was up 11lbs- 8 of those from last week. I have really struggled to get those 3 lbs off this week. Before this week I could do a steak day and lose 3 to 4 lbs. I have done a steak day and 2 egg days and could only get 3 lbs off.
Going to load this weekend ( my birthday is Sunday). I am keeping it low carb and high fat, so hopefully I won't gain 10lbs like last time.

I've just been lurking...been kinda bummed out bout my lack of success.

Bob---You give me hope!!

I am doing hhcg. I did real well today. No hunger issues at all. I actually skipped one fruit and toast. I was at work so up late and still came home with no hunger. I guess it just takes a couple days to adjust. Off to bed!

I don't do sublingual, so I can't help you with your other questions. However, I tend to eat the same things close to every day. I change up a vegetable sometimes. I rarely eat the grissini. For me, it's usually:

3.5 oz grassfed ground beef, seasoned in a pan with onion powder, minced garlic, and some minced jalapenos (also jarred like the garlic).
I weigh and add onion to this.

An apple, usually around 8 oz. This is the only fruit I eat.

My 2nd protein is usually a chicken breast (3.5 oz give or take), cooked in a pan, seasoned with garlic salt and onion powder

My other vegetable is usually lettuce or sauerkraut.

Sometimes I eat both proteins mixed with lettuce as a salad (even though the ground beef already has onion in it.)

My dressing is a jalapeno mustard I dilute with a little water, and then add some dill and a little splenda to.

I, more often than not, have coffee with 1T of sugarfree creamer in a day, too.

Hi Jackie! I've been thinking about you so I'm glad you checked in! It must be really tough to try to stabilize through the holidays. I'm glad you're starting another P2. You'll be back to losing in no time....don't give up!

Today: see signature for details.

Daily check-in

Good morning All. Today is VLCD 14 of R3, and my weight is 190, A 1lb. loss from yesterday. I'm knocking on the 180's door, and if it doesn't open soon, I'll just kick it in. Everybody have a great and INTENTIONAL day.

If I am going to say what has been my #1 mostest wonderful experience so far on this trip..that is it...gotta go, body says you are done, done DONE... to all.
Chelangal, I'm so glad your having such a great trip. I hope the wind dies down so the surf conditions get better. Be careful with the climbing. Way to say spot on, The weight will come off.

DW loaded well, (she had a good coach ) She only lost 1lb. after VLCD 1. Then lost 3 after day 2, and this morning 1.5 lbs., She's on her way.

Chelangal, Continue having a great trip, stay safe and INTENTIONAL.

Jackie, great to see you back. I too gained 10 lbs. between rounds, so don't worry, it comes back off. This protocol is a learning process. We read what Dr.S says is going to work, but we must find what works for us with the least amount of tweaking. some of us need to tweak. You can succeed on this program, you've seen it, and done it. You birthday seems like a great day to start loading. It will be the birth of your new successful round. Jackie go for it, you CAN do it. No more bumming out.

Also for sublingual use, they say 3 times daily, would that be on any empty stomach right before your meals??
Thanks for any imput!
Shelly!

Typical P2 menu for me was

MidMorning
Apple

Lunch
Grilled Chicken
Spinach
Melba Toast

Dinner
P2 Chili

Evening
Strawberries

I do the spray and it is only twice a day. Doesn't necessarily have to be on an empty stomach, just nothing in the mouth 30 minutes before or after.
