Well, it's 7:20 and there are only 3 of us here so far. Usually there are at least 10 people here. North Texas got some freezing drizzle last night. I was lucky and didn't have much ice coming in to work, but the DFW area and west is pretty slick.

My update - I have been maintaining pretty well. Right now TOM is here so I am fighting with the water weight gain and currently losing. Hopefully today will be better. Water, water, water!!!

Well, we southern folks are feeling the chill ourselves.....In NE Florida here, it is 27o right now, and it is supposed to last another couple of days before going up a bit.

Lindy, I have not been drinking water, but Oolong tea. I simply can not tolerate the water when it's this cold, so if it means a hold of a couple of lbs., then, so be it. I hope the tea does the job the water does for the liver and kidneys, but I really know better than that.

I have shredded cabbage and wondering what to do with that.. maybe add some waldens dressing a mix it with fish( I love fish). I seemed to do fine today but at work the smell of food was intoxicating. I was never a burrito girl but Oh! I could have taken that ladie's from her plate. Does anyone else notice the aromas more intense?

Tracey
I find the sights and smells of food to be very intense. I don't know how those that work with food do it! In one of the schools I work at there is a cooking classroom down the hall from my office, and sometimes I have to suffer the cooking smells all. day. long. About the veggies...In Prinster's hCG book she has a guide for veggies. I don't have the book in front of me, but I think she lists the serving size for most veggies as 2 cups and I think onions (and maybe tomatoes) are 1 cup. I've looked up nutrition data online to convert the cups of the veggies I eat into weight in grams, because I have no idea how to measure 2 cups of asparagus spears. So I weigh my veggies into 2 cup servings, but sometimes I go over, because most veggies are so low calorie that I can afford to eat a bit more.

Today is VLCD 5 and I am down another 1.4 pounds today. I haven't seen Bernice since the first VLCD. This is very unusual for me as she has always been a regular visitor even through my first round p2. I never thought I would have to take something to get her visit, but if I don't see her by tomorrow I guess I will.

Bob, you will be in the 180s...the 180's Bob before you know. Praise God!. You have to be feeling good and we are celebrating with you. now is the time you want to "tweak the diet" because you are doing so well...but stay intentional and please remind me of these words when I am at 2 to 3 weeks in. 1. Are most of you doing the Homeopathic HCG drops or the injections? I have read that the drops are just as good as the injections, can anyone testify if this is indeed true? (I hate needles and would love to avoid them if possible, plus the cost is so much less on the drops.)

2. For all of you ladies, what about makeup - yikes, I can't imagine going out of the house without at least my eye makeup on!! Also, what about hair conditioner, my hair gets so dry in the winter, is there anything that can be used?

Thanks in advance for your help, I look forward to getting to know you all!!
Klittle, I use the RX sublingual hCG and have been extremely happy with it. There isn't much of a difference in price doing RX hcg Sublingal or the homeopathic drops.
I use Mineral Makeup, regular shadow, eyeliner and mascara. I use regular shampoo and a very light conditioner. No problems with releasing the lbs. Best of luck to you whatever you choose.

Thanks Alisa for your very sweet comments. I also do the sublingual RX hCG and feel it works great.

Ah, it's climbing, it's climbing......we're at 41o now!!

Our blood has thinned so much that we feel it a lot differently than when we lived in Phila. and Va. Because I'm feeling the cold so much, my shoulders become hunched, and I have to consciously relax them to feel less tense.

The good thing is my appetite has decreased, except for hot soups.

I just wanted to take a minute to thank everyone who helped me out when I was trying out the hcg protocol.

Ultimately, I decided that it wasn't right for me, I wasn't comfortable or functioning well on it, I was constantly hungry and it seemed to trigger my old eating disorder behavior - so I've decided to go back to low-carbing for these last 15 pounds.

But I did want to thank every one for their help and support and I wish you all the best of luck!

[QUOTE=Coconutty;12956702]I find the sights and smells of food to be very intense.

I did order a book. I was going to order that one but wanted the other one. Hasn't come yet, hopefully today. Will order this one next week. Can't wait to read it!

Lost 4.0 lbs. this morning!!!! Cannot believe it!!! After VLCD #2 I'm down 6.7 lbs. Whoo Hoo! I LOVE HCG & DR. S!!!

Off work today due to my son's school being closed because of the snow. I'm going to use the time to start back at January 1st on this thread and catch up.

I've got to be sure to make myself drink all my water today. I know from last round that on weekends I didn't always get it all in. I find it easy to do at work, but at home it is just more difficult.

Can't wait to catch up with you all. I've missed you!

But I did want to thank every one for their help and support and I wish you all the best of luck!
Best of luck to you Fawnmarie with low carb.
