1. Are most of you doing the Homeopathic HCG drops or the injections? I have read that the drops are just as good as the injections, can anyone testify if this is indeed true? (I hate needles and would love to avoid them if possible, plus the cost is so much less on the drops.)

2. For all of you ladies, what about makeup - yikes, I can't imagine going out of the house without at least my eye makeup on!! Also, what about hair conditioner, my hair gets so dry in the winter, is there anything that can be used?

Thanks in advance for your help, I look forward to getting to know you all!!
If you go back to the beginning of January Posts...You will find many of your questions answered since there are so many of us that are new and beginning HCG. We have probably all asked the same thing.

Makeup wear has not been discussed much SO.........I teach 6th graders. They would torture me if I didn't look like me. (The one they are used to!)
I wear mineral powder as a base, regulary blush, I do wear eyeliner, eyebrow junk, and mascara.

I just don't use moisturizer. (Even though in Nebraska I really need it right now....I can hold off)

Good Luck and Welcome!

Hi Pepper! My Mother and Aunt (Aunt lost 88 lbs on hcg and has kept it off for over a year) used Aquaphor for moisture/lip issues. It is a bit "greasy", but legal and it really helped.
HTH...

Suzy there are no-oil moisturizers. I bought one at my health food store by Alba, and Neutrogena makes one too.

Jennifer I know what you mean about "always needed a little extra help" BM issues run in my family. I've told my sis about the Natural Calm so she now uses it for my 6 yr old niece who has very very bad issues. We love that it's all natural and works real well.

It's so good to hear that you mom and aunt have done so well maintaining! Beautiful YES!! Your lil man is very cute, too!

Although when we moved here in 02 I did see a few flurries in the air, but that was it.....didn't even have a chance when it hit the ground.
Peter and I took the best measures we could and dropped 10 cubic feet of mulch on my hybrids, and took the other ones that were in large pots into the garage. I did wrap my Robellini Palm though with the recommended freeze barrier, cause I don't want to lose that baby.

Oh, if you want some heart-warming soup, I posted a Broccoli Cheese Soup on the Recipe thread.

Because it's been so dang cold, I've not been drinking any water; just a full pot of oolong tea with a couple of holiday tea bags thrown in. I know I'm getting the same amount of fluid and hopefully it will have the same good effect as pure water.

I decided I would begin on HHCG 2 days after my next TOM. Well, I am still waiting for TOM. I went off of birth control pills also the end of October.

I think I am going to load today anyway, so I can start my VLCD. I hope TOM doesn't finally come right when I start VLCD 1, but I am determined. I figured TOM would come last November and I would have started then. Oh well, I am jazzed and ready to go. I think the HHCG might help me get my TOM's back on track, I hope!

I have missed you all. I love coming on this site and seeing how well you are all doing. I see some great new, beautiful pics of you all! I hope you are all doing well, and had wonderful Holidays.
Welcome back, and do hope your Holidays were good, as well.

I have peed a bazillion times today. I seriously better be, like, 5 pounds down tomorrow. I also had some Smooth Move tea this morning, because I ate wildly yesterday and had no visit from bernice. That has also taken effect.

OK..as you can see I am not a happy camper about the scales...but what is, is..my adventure getting here was on Mon. nite about 11 p.m. get a call that my departing flight has been cancelled. Called the friend that was taking me to the airport and they said hey, get ready were headed to Seattle so you don't miss your connecting flight. So after an hour (literally) on the phone with airlines they said it was OK for me to do that..long story, you don't need the drama...fortunately the person I was talking to was a doer and understood customer service. Long story short when they cancel a leg of a trip..they cancel the complete trip and if I had just showed up in Seattle I would have been sitting there at least 24 hrs. waiting for the flights they had rescheduled me on (without talking to me!!!). So we load up friends car, head out in snowing/heavy rain over 2 mountain passes...even without any daylight the beauty of all the snow on the trees was a Kodak moment. Arrive at airport 1 hour before flight leaves...all goes well (except didn't have time to stand in another line to get my starbuck americano!!!-the sacrifices ones has to make to play)...my packed lunch was in my carry on which a young man graciously lifted (a little on the heavy side--he said gees I didn't know you could get this much weight in a carry on!!!--I laughed didn't explain that I HAD to have my weighing scales, food scales, binocs, laptop, etc etc etc-heck with clothes, books & personal items!!!)...oh yea and my lunch was in that bag...kept my camera back as my other allowable carry on which was on floor (bad, planning on my part)...could not get up to get my lunch out...very windy and rough flight, so other than emergency needs they didn't want us flopping around in the aisle - which really means beating up other passengers as those aisles are not wide!!!). So I drank very little water, 1 cup PLAIN coffee, and wondered just how long 7 hrs of flying was going to be when I got hungry. Had to fill out this bringing, fruit/veggies in form to enter Hawaii...all the really wise passengers were scarfing down their food...for me I just lied. Danged if I was going to give up my fresh, apple, peeled and sliced cucs, radishes. It was me or the fruit fly inspector and I was ready to take him on by then. OK..get off plain. literally stop at first bench, rip out my lunch back and DEVOUR chicken breast and asparagus spears. Then took off my wool socks, sweat shirt and looked for nearest bathroom. Get car, get to condo and discover I have a top floor, to die for view (me knows that my oldest daughter and family who are here also - had been at the front desk telling, who knows what tales, to assure their "old" mother had this to die for view). The whales and dolphins are plentiful and I am a happy camper just watching them. But kids decide it is time to go to dinner....my legal food is safely stored in 'frig. So go to this wonderful restaurant with table on ocean...ate sorta legal...had 7 big shrimp...don't know if the cocktail sauce was legal-but yummy with just enough horseradish to clear nasal passages...small ceasar type salad (totally not on protocol). forgoed the wine, bread, and this to die for dessert...really didn't even want...I can see close to 10 things that would make the scales go up, but I was disappointed...destroyed NOT, pissed A LITTLE. But will adhear to lots of water, right foods, etc. today. Kids just called and they are headed to snorkel...asked if I wanted to go. HA HA , like I'm putting my suit on as I type (did I tell you I am one heck of a multi-tasker when I need to be and this is a NEED to do situation). Snorkel gear bagged and ready to go. I am out of here and tomorrow on the scales will be a whole lot better. Also, will read posts later also....that is like going into withdrawal, but for a little snorkeling I will make the sacrifice. Hope everyone is doing well on protocol and the scales are moving down, down, down. HCG works, if we put work it. Oh, yea. Didn't need an extender on seatbelt...know everyone of you understands the awesomeness of that...could write a whole page on the wonderful feelings and pride of accomplishment.
Your post reflects such excitement and so it should be! Enjoy, keep safe.

Thank you that is what I have been doing but just wanted to be sure. Does he state how much vegetables in a meal? I read it but did not see serving size. I just slice up a small part of the cucumber and eat that with my fish or dice up a celery stalk and have that or 1 small tomatoe or a small bowl of lettuce for a salad. I have shredded cabbage and wondering what to do with that.. maybe add some waldens dressing a mix it with fish( I love fish). I seemed to do fine today but at work the smell of food was intoxicating. I was never a burrito girl but Oh! I could have taken that ladie's from her plate. Does anyone else notice the aromas more intense?

Well, couldn't snorkel today very high waves...but went sailing (monohaul) and the whales were incredible. The captain was great...absolutely did not start the engine until ready to dock...as you can tell I really enjoy sailing...especially when she heels over and runs at top speed (10 knots!!!). Hey guys, sloooow down I can't keep up with your chattiness!!! Good morning All. Today is VLCD 13 of R3, and my weight is 191, a 1 lb. loss from yesterday. I'm pretty happy with my losses so far, I'm down 16 lbs from my pre-load weight. I don't have to tell anybody, I can't wait to eat a freaking EGG. Sorry that I haven't caught up on my replys, I'll do that now. Everybody have a great day and stay INTENTIONAL.

I am, however, still dealing with the ucky tummy. Yesterday I blamed the nausea on the loading, but this morning was even worse. I pulled the car over on my way to work and barely got the door open before losing all my water on the side of the road. (TMI- I know) Anyway, I left work as I continued to feel sick.

I am committed to this protocol, so I am going to hang tough, I just wondered if anyone had any similar issues. I notice I'm a little shaky in the morning so my first guess is low blood sugar. So I have skipped the coffee in the morning. As much as I'd like to wait til lunch to eat, I may have to try having a few apple slices tomorrow morning to see if it makes any difference.

I'm going to use the day off to nap and work on report cards- wishing you all big losses this morning!
Lilly, great first day, hope your feeling better.

Good to see you Diana, Happy New Year. Great new photo.

Dizzy being .2 in virgin territory is great, you'll be releasing lots more and will be seeing a wonderful new LDW by the end of this round.

Good news on another 1 lb. released, WTG Bob

nice releases of the lbs.

Good going Mlilly, As has been suggested try Apple Cider Vinegar for the tummy. Another thing to try is Peppermint Tea.
For those of you who don't know me, I thought I would show you my before and after pictures. The before picture was in March 2007 when I weighted over 200 lbs. At one point I was up to 210 lbs. I did low carb until I stalled out for over 6 months at 134 lbs. I started the Simeons Protocol in September 2008 and have seen a new low weight of 108.6 lbs. in recent months.

Barbara, 1.6 lbs, thats a great day.

Today is VLCD 3.
I am down 2 lbs from yesterday, bringing me to 4.8 released total.

As soon as I weighted myself this morning I drank some ACV in water, and a slice of an apple, and it seems to have done the trick for my sick tummy! Oh I was miserable yesterday!

Keep up the great losses today! You guys are awesome.

I'm amazed with ANY loss (new to HCG) so 2# is terrific! I usually eat LESS and lose nothing!! LC just wasn't working for me any more...

No he doesn't state how much veggies to eat. I do a cup to a cup and a half depending on which veggie I am eating. Some count the calories and just make sure they don't go over 500 in a day. I made a cabbage soup once during R2P2 but it caused a gain the next day. So cabbage for me is a no-no.

In the mornings my co-workers toast bagels and bread just outside my cube. I usually have to grab another cup of hot tea to ward off the hungries.
