And I can make a venti americano!! I know what that is and can prepare one! Yay!! I have learned so much from working my patootie off the last week. I still need my "cheat sheet" cards, but I can make virtually anything on the Starbuck's menu now!!! I hate it---HATE it---when it is 20 degrees outside (it was on Sat and Sun AM) and someone comes in and wants an iced coffee--or better yet a frappuccino. It should be a crime to sell those in the winter
Good going Dawn on being to make anything on the Starbuck's menu now

Have a wonderfull day everyone!
I hope the morning finds you lighter, brighter, and wiser!!
I always feel wonderful when on hCG so I don't mind doing short cycles whenever I get too far away from LDW.

Diana, as I mentioned to Dizzy, my posts don't show up when I first post them. Usually it takes around one hour to show up so my posts are usually back some.

Donia, glad to hear there is no hunger. It should stay the same all month.

Well, was actually p .4 lbs. this mornign but I weighed earlier this time. I am not discouraged, though. I added in the melba toast yesterday and right now I am glad I did. I read somewhere that your body might react to the carbs in P4 negatively if we don't have those, so I do not want to take chances. Also, it helps with hunger. So far it is almost 3:00 and I only have had strawberries and melba toast and tea and water. I would rather eat my main meals later since I have to go work tonight. I also read you could add more protein if you got hungry, have not done that and hope to not to, but was wondering if that could be true. Also, can we combine vegetables? If we eat vegetables as a snack does that mean we eliminate them during our meals? thanks for the help

I am not hungry but I am worried about the weight loss stopping even eating right! I have thyroid problems and I can just see it coming to a screeching halt! Thanks for the encouragement and letting me know that some of you continued your tyhroid medication, throughout. Do you all still drink the coffee? Although protocol says we can, many homeopathic people say not to... I am still drinking it in the mornings!
Hi Steadfast, Just wanted to let you know my mom (Bhambabe) has thyroid problems, and took her meds through all phases and is down 52 lbs and maintaining perfectly in P3 right now!

Hi everyone,

I have enjoyed reading your posts. I have been on the LC threads some, but I am new here. I am determined that 2010 is going to be my year to get skinny. I am very curious about the HCG diet. I have a few questions that I am hoping somebody won't mind answering.

1. Are most of you doing the Homeopathic HCG drops or the injections? I have read that the drops are just as good as the injections, can anyone testify if this is indeed true? (I hate needles and would love to avoid them if possible, plus the cost is so much less on the drops.)

2. For all of you ladies, what about makeup - yikes, I can't imagine going out of the house without at least my eye makeup on!! Also, what about hair conditioner, my hair gets so dry in the winter, is there anything that can be used?

Thanks in advance for your help, I look forward to getting to know you all!!

Still struggling with headaches from detoxing.

Have a great Wednesday everyone~

1. I do injections. I have no experience with the HhCG. I did try sublingual rx my first time and ended up quitting. I like the injections, I'm on my 2nd round with them.

2. I wear my normal makeup and my normal hair products. It's not so accepted here, but I put lotion on when I need it, too. Michigan winter is WAY too harsh not to. I know some people think it's worth cutting it all out, but i'm satisifed with my losses while NOT cutting these things out. Maybe I could lose more if I cut them, but I doubt it.

I can't help you with the homeopathic drops, but I wanted to let you know that there is a 3rd option. I take the prescription hCG sublingually. From what I've seen, they all seem to work equally well.

I decided I would begin on HHCG 2 days after my next TOM. Well, I am still waiting for TOM. I went off of birth control pills also the end of October.

I think I am going to load today anyway, so I can start my VLCD. I hope TOM doesn't finally come right when I start VLCD 1, but I am determined. I figured TOM would come last November and I would have started then. Oh well, I am jazzed and ready to go. I think the HHCG might help me get my TOM's back on track, I hope!

I have missed you all. I love coming on this site and seeing how well you are all doing. I see some great new, beautiful pics of you all! I hope you are all doing well, and had wonderful Holidays.
back Kim. Happy loading (and that should be loading with HCG). Sorry to hear about the ruptured cyst. You are better now, right?

No combining vegetables. Dr S is very specific in this area. From P&I - One type of vegetable only to be chosen from the following: spinach, chard, chicory, beet-greens, green salad, tomatoes, celery, fennel, onions, red radishes, cucumbers, asparagus, cabbage.

And yes, if you use your veggie as a snack you omit it during your meal. So if you have celery mid-morning, no veggie at lunch. If you have had your 2 veggies for the day (lunch and dinner), you can't have a veggie as a snack after dinner. HTH!

Hi Kristi. I use the HHCG sublingual spray. It has worked well for me. I don't do needles. I also used my normal makeup which only consists of eyebrow powder, mascara, eyeliner, lip liner and lip gloss. I would deep condition my hair once a week and did not change my regular shampoo or conditioner. I use an aloe vera gel on my skin. If it gets too dry, I used vaseline. (Vaseline is what I use as my lotion normally on all of my skin except my face.)

Today is VLCD 4. I was down 2.8 lbs this morning and am now below LDW. I have 1.8 pounds to go until I get to my p3/p4 low. I had my first serving of p2 chili today for lunch and I had forgotten how gooooood it is. If I could I would only eat that during p2.

Kristi! Here is a link to the HCG recipe thread. The very first entry (#1) has links to Pounds and Inches and an HGC Study - http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/ot...es-only-7.html

As for your questions - I did injections my first round and homeopathic hcg my second and did as well the second round as the first. You will have to use oil free makeup and conditioner and anything else that you use on your body. HTH!

Way to stay intentional, Simone! Great outlook - and helpful for me to remember such opportunities as well. We ARE in charge of ourselves and our accomplishments. Sky's the limit to what the human spirit can master!

HI Kristi!
I'm pretty new to the board too, but i take homeopathic, and have lost 9 lbs in my first 3 days. my mother also has done homeopathic and has lost 52! As far as i'm concered its amazing!
Also, i am the same way with my make up... it scared me dearly. I've only had 3 days on the VLCD, but i have used mineral powder foudation and mineral eye shadow and blush. I have a ton of MAC products, and i am going to try to incorpiraite them in next week and see how they work.
I'm also using JASONs Natuals Aloe Vera shampoo and conditioner, washed my hair twice with it and haven't had problems yet .
I hope this helps a little bit.. there are soooo many knowledgeable people on here, i'm sure your find your answers!
Good luck, and happy losing!!

I use HHcG and I lost 44 pounds my first round and have lost 17 so far on round 2. Yes, it is true.
I bought no-oil moisturizer but I didn't change anything else...same shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, deodorant, and makeup when I wore it. There are a lot of days I don't leave the house so I didn't worry about wearing makeup 1-2 a week. I never had any issues because of it. I did stall for a day each time I had a mani/pedi. This round I am going to take my own lotion with me to the nail salon.

I started at an 18W or a 2X. Now I can wear L and XL but I still need women's sizes on the bottom. I am in 14W jeans from Talbots but they are getting baggy. Thankfully they make a 12W, since I need a curvy girl cut

I forgot to add that I also went for my wax while on my last round, and had no problems with the wax, or the pre/post oil.

You can get a 5-6 shot Americano!! I guess I knew that but it would cost more and that is all I need.... to spend more at Starbucks!

Thanks ic120! I'll probably try both recommended mag products as I've always needed a little extra help.
