So, today is day 2 of P3...and I joyously ate an omlet w/ grilled onions and broccoli with a bowl of strawberries. It's been two hours, and I am still full (which is a phenomenon I have not experienced in six weeks!)
I'm new to the site--just joined yesterday--but feel so thankful for finding it. This thread seems to have a lot of great info in particular. It is really amazing to find something that actually WORKS. No matter what anyone (media) says, hcg is remarkable. Anyway, thanks to all for the great tips and info! I can't wait to continue to track my results and to reach goals that I thought were forever out of reach. I quite honestly had *almost* convinced myself that it was "normal" to become overweight in my late 30's and that I should just accept it. NO MORE! |

Kay-I 100% agree!! I also thought that being a size 12/14 was the best I could achieve at this point (still WAY better than a 24/26 I used to be). I'm so happy to have found and tried the HCG. ![]()

It's kind of a bummer that we all abandon this site in P3. I am as guilty as any. I am a week away from starting another round. I am a couple of pounds over my limit, but haven't done any correction days. Last week my doc prescribed prednisone, which is the most evil thing when it comes to gaining weight and water retention. I lasted four day on it, them I quit. How is everyone else doing??

Gibby-I'm sure after a long round you are really excited!! I know I was. I was *almost* disappointed I didn't have more appetite in the beginning. Sigh, that was helpful in hind sight. Good luck and enjoy!!
And I use Splenda and sweet-n-low w/ no problem!! Yum!! Makes my coffee a treat!! |

I have been using Sweet-N-Low in my coffee - I just don't like stevia....I figured if they were using it in the '60's and '70's it must still be ok |

I am wondering what my appetite will be like in p3 -- I have gotten used to eating SO little on p2 -- I do have my hungry days, but they are rare -- I wonder if once I am off the drops I will be a lot hungrier. I also hope I haven't gotten terrified of eating... as weird as that might sound, it is a real fear of mine. This has worked so well, and I am so used to doing pretty much the same thing every day, I am almost afraid of switching it up.
I'm thinking ahead -- not yet ready to abandon p2 (this should be my only round, unless I do a "reshaping" round later) so I am milking it for all its worth. I will need this thread -- don't go away, y'all!!!

I hope you are right about that, Fembomb -- my brain is pretty good at over-riding my body! I am a chronic pain sufferer, too (as I know you are as well) -- and so I have really learned that "mind over matter" thing ..... My pain levels are fairly negligible now, but I spent much of my life in gut-wrenching pain, so I am quite good at ignoring the signals my body is sending out....

Mini-I don't want to borrow trouble, since you're still a ways out from P3. But something I've learned now - both from experience and reading a LOT - it is important to try to eat enough calories in P3 that your body will accept the new weight w/o needing to starve to maintain it. I completely understand being afraid of it. I face it daily right now. The scale will go up, and has, if I eat up to the calorie level I am supposed to maintain at (1800ish). I seem to maintain easier lower (1500 - sedentary BMR). It goes back down as long as I eat at home, drink my water and stay regular. I'm trying to take it all in stride, but maintain control. It's such hard work to lose it, I really don't care to have to do it again!! But, I also want to be able to EAT in my regular life. Between hormones, age, thyroid and my crappy metabolism it's hard enough. I know you are diligent and will find what works for you. I just wanted to offer a word of caution. Def. try to get your calories in. It was harder last week as I didn't have much appetite and have really changed the way I look at portions and food in general. That's been a good "take home" from the VLC days.
Anyway, still experimenting on myself. Upped my carbs a bit today, all SF and starch free. Trying to play around w/ my protein/fat/carb ratios in ******. Hoping to find what works best for me |

I posted this on another P3 thread, so if some of you read it there, sorry for the repeat:
Hi everyone! It's day one of P3 for me and here's what I have planned. Please offer any input. Breakfast - 3 scambled eggs and 2 pieces of bacon, coffee with HnH Snack - 1/2 apple (left over from P2) Lunch - 2 cans albacore tuna packed in water and mayo stuffed in a tomato Snack - 1/2 apple Dinner - one whole chicken breast, left over cabbage I need to go to the store tonight and I am going to get chicken legs and thighs (thank God - no more yukky chicken breast), rib-eye steaks, hamburger, etc., salad veggies, hwc. How am I doing? Because of my size, my BMR calories will eventually be real high. I don't know how I'm going to eat all of that food. Slow and steady I guess.

P3
Hi everyone,
I am new to this forum and searching for correction day information. I low finding new groups of people going throug the same things. I am in a Yahoo group too, and they are great for information, but needed some more input. A little about me, I started at 240 2+ years ago, and did Nutrisystems. I lost about 80 pounds and started bouncing around. Exercised hard 6 days a week (about 2 hours a day), started training with a personal trainer twice a week and just could not lose weight anymore. This january, I started hhcg. I was around 163-165 then, and after load (i gain very easily) I was 175 and LWI at end of P2D34 I was 151.6. I am now like P3D8 and I was exactly 2 pounds up yesterday and this morning about 2.4 lbs up, and need to do a correction day. I hate starving all day and have been reading ideas. I was thinking of doing this one, but it seems like so many calories, and a "straight" steak days does not, and I hope to only do it once so want it to be the right choice. Anyone have any thoughts about this version of a chicken day?? Here are a couple other correction days to try. in fact, I like these two BETTER than the steak day and most even lose more. First one is, Chicken day. Here's how I do it... I buy the large family pack of chicken drumsticks. Needs to be dark meat, skin on. Take equal parts melted butter and EVOO, mix together and drizzle all over the chicken legs. Coat thoroughly. Freshly grate some parm. cheese and roll/coat each chicken leg in parm cheese. Bake in 350 degree oven for aprox. 45 minutes. Then I turn up the temp to 400 or so for 10 minutes to really crisp them. Just keep an eye on them so they don't burn. You eat nothing all day but these chicken legs. BUT! Unlike a steak day, you can eat these all day long. I usually have a couple /few for lunch < drink plenty of fluids> a couple more in the afternoon, and some more for sinner, etc. For me, and others this is more effective than a steak day. |

I've never seen that correction day. Let us know how it goes. It's pretty close to a chicken day, I guess, except the parm cheese. Is that the dried, in the can one (without added starches, I presume) or the shreddable fresh parm?

I don't think you are supposed to eat the cheese. Just chicken, but I could be wrong.
I did an egg day (I didn't have steak or chicken in the house) and it worked. |

I tried a chicken day just like a steak day (nothing all day and then eat a lb of chicken thighs and a tomato for dinner) and I didn't lose a thing. I do better with steak days!! However, my favorite correction day----shake day!!! Those are great for me.

I did an egg day earlier. I had hard boiled eggs for bfast and lunch (had to work that day) then some scrambled in butter for dinner. I wasn't very hungry and was fine. I also enjoyed my coffee/hnh in the morning too
I hope it works for you, certainly sounds yummy ! to LCF!! Congrats on all your losses!! |

This one was from my other group, and our "leader" in that group does it and it works great for her. I am worried I am going to be up higher tomorrow instead of down. I ate about 10 of them throughout the entire day.
So if I go up tomorrow, should I do a different correction tomorrow or wait a day? Whats the shake day? Or should I do a clean P2 day? UGH stressing now. I was doing so well, and not really moving around and I know TOM is past due, but I am not wanting to put it back on from the losses of HCG... thanks to anyone with any ideas!! Thanks Julie for the welcome! Back to reading the forum!! |

Well, after being very scared after doing this correction that was a lot alot of calories...
I am down 2 lbs this morning! I am still 0.8 over my LWI weight, but within the window again!! Shoooo! Thought I would come back and post this since no one here had heard of this correction method... I was sick of them by the end of the day, but they were very very good at the beginning!! ![]() |
