Reading through the thread I am realizing that the melba/grissini must be given up in P3, is that correct or are you allowed to keep those two small servings of it?

Is hummus a starch? It is made of chickpeas.

Anyone know?

Nevermind, I think it is. It is ok on p4 perhaps.

I have often wondered about beans.. I think it would be a veggie.. just a starchy one. I hope it isn't. I am really wanting ham and beans on P3.

How big of a steak do you get to eat on a correction day?

I need to do a correction day today, and since I'm working a double shift today, will have to get take out for the steak. One of the places has a ribeye steak sandwich, so obviously I won't get the bread, but I was thinking that if it was a 12 oz steak, should I get 1 or 2

Depends on how much you want to eat. Some people get a huge steak and eat on it throughout the day.

If I can't find a HUGE steak, I get 2 medium sized ones. By the time I cut out the really fatty stuff, it's about right. I know we're suppose to get the fatty steaks, but I can't handle eating the fatty part.

Good luck with the steak day. Don't forget your tomato or apple!!

Thanks for the well wishes. This is my 1st correction day ever. I'm on R2P3D4
I got a bit over zealous on my eating this week with P3. I'm spreading out my correction day, as I've heard others do this so hoping it works. I ate my apple in the morning. Ordered 2 Ribeyes from a carryout place (working a double shift so no time to cook one) Ate one for lunch and will eat one for dinner.

I didn't think I could make it all day without eating anything so thought I'd try this.

Hello there,

I am within 7 lbs of starting Phase 3 and excited to start working out and shaping now! A little history on me...

I had a tumor removed from my abdomen 4 years ago and they also removed my abdominal muscles and replaced with mesh. The tumor?muscles were removed during the birth of my fourth child. I have found it impossible to work off that baby belly and before this incident I naturally and without any effort...or even a healthy diet would sit at 125-130. I am 5'4. Since this whole ordeal I have sat at 143 and even through MAJOR exercise and healthy eating could get back down to 132 but never ever moved that baby belly. I just looked more pregnant undressed. I wore under garmet girdle hose etc and about a year ago just said forget it. I truly just quit trying. I was exhausting myself with 2 hours workouts 6 days a week and the tummy wouldnt even budge.

I have several friends who have done this and prescribed by some of their doctors so I decided to give it a try. I went from 143 to 135 in 8 days and I lost it ALL in my belly! THe rest of my body is pretty proportioned and that is where I carry it all. My HCG accidentally got put in a cabinet instead of the fridge a week ago. But I continued using it hoping it wasnt ruined. 1 week with no loss and I replaced the HCG Saturday and am back on track and down to 134. So the bad HCG was my problem for sure. I even took a free day with foods and threw down a hot dog and fries and no problems...but was back on track Saturday morning!

Soooo I am close to starting phase three and have a couple of questions....

Is there a desired calorie intake a day? I am fine with the no sugars etc. I do plan on starting back up at the gym and toning etc...I usually burn 400 calories there....and assume I need to replace the calories I burn.

Almost done with P2

Soooo looking forward to starting P3 on Saturday. Thanks for all of the tips on here. My wife and I are looking forward to stabilizing for a few weeks (with a trip to Vegas in the middle) and then loading up again after Thanksgiving for another round of P2!

How much did you both lose? I start P3 Saturday as well and have fine tuned my meal/menu. drool! Steak, salmon for dinner. lol - I have a trip in the middle also to Seattle. Vegas would be harder but lucky you have buffets!

Come post in the main threads

Well, today is the last dose day and the wife is down 31.1 and I am down 34.0. It's been a LOOONG 40 day round, but well worth it. I think from now on we are sticking to the 20 day variety when it comes to P2. We are really looking forward to trying some of the great low carb recipes we see on here and other sites. We are going to try using coconut and almond flour and getting some butter and oils back into our diet

Dan, be careful adding stuff back in too soon. You guys have worked really hard this round. For me, cheese, nuts, bacon, etc. never made it into my P3. I kept it pretty clean. I probably would have had bacon, except it is such a pain to cook it! I can't wait to hear how your P3 is going! It's been a long haul for you.

I bake my bacon. That way we have bacon whenever we want!! I bake an entire pound in the oven at a time. Makes it easier to clean up. I use foil lined cookie sheets, then throw away the mess when done!!! No greasy pots and pans to clean. I never fry bacon anymore.

False alarm. Phew! I made that hamburger soup and those stuffed peppers. I enjoyed a bit too much and lots of water. My belly was full! I thought for sure today was the day I would be up. I am actually a .5 below LDW.

You are a sweetie to ask Peggy!

that is nice to have the loss instead of the gain, you seem to be doing very well on P3.
