I may wait until the three weeks are over for a mug cake. My clinic's dietician isn't in favor of either coconut or almond flour in P3. But when I told her they called for one tablespoon, she thought it would probably be okay. There are some carbs in both, albeit not much (from what I can see).
Glad to know some haven't had issues! P3 is day after tomorrow! |

buttah--the thing is, P3 is not about carbs, it is about avoiding starch and sugar. So that is why it is OK to have almond flour and coconut flour. But following your clinic is the best. You are the one paying them for their guidance and advice.

1st time posting
I have taken HCG about 3 separate times and this 3rd time I am diligently doing P3. I am eating soy nuts, almonds, and pumpkin seeds buy the handfuls and cheddar cheese. I eat a lot of flax seed and spinach as well. Is too much protein bad for you? So far I have been doing great. I don't get hungry like I use to and sometimes I feel that I am close to stuffing myself just to get my meals in because of the snacking (apples, nuts,) throughout the day. I love this thread, the support, the advice the recipes. Good Luck to all!

Hell, I mixed them in P2. But yes, there are no restrictions in P3 other than no starch, no sugar. You should double your protein and veggies, keep fruit to 2 per day and add back healthy fats... up your calories to what is needed at your weight to maintain.

Hello all, first time posting, thank you all so very much for all the great support and info. I'm 5 days into P3; sticking with mostly veggies and protein, added in a little dairy (plain yogurt and very little amounts of hard cheese) and a few eggs, but also added in olive oil, flaxseed oil, and coconut oil for cooking and salad dressing. Obviously not hungry much with all that food, being used to P2 for 23 days. I Have fluctuated up and down to about .8 pound up since lowest weight, but my question is; based on the BMR calculator I saw, for my size I would need to eat 2285 calories a day to maintain my weight!! (5'8 167lbs) Does anyone actually eat this much in P3? Did I misunderstand the "using your BMR for your intake?" I think I'm keeping it around 1500, and scared to death to add much more..this seems like an obscene amount of food..but I don't want to mess up my reset phase by not eating enough either..thoughts?

Hi - I'm not new to HCG, I did 1 round more than a year ago and getting married has added some pounds back on :/. I'm planning to do this diet again in a few weeks, but coming back here to familiarize myself with the protocol and dos/don'ts of it all. Happy to see so many people still finding success on it.
To me it was a complete mental journey, so now it's about getting my mind set to endure this restrictive phase. Happy releasing! |

My first day of P3 starts on my first day in Hawaii. Ugh! I'll be there for 6 days so not sure how I am going to stay totally clean and under 1,200 calories. I'm really nervous!

Really? I read that you gradually add back calories within the approved P3 food list. I have so many food intolerances/allergies that I have to avoid a lot of things if I want to stay healthy. Phew, I feel a bit better now.
![]() I won't be able to do a CD in Hawaii so that's my biggest fear. I have great willpower but don't want to get into a position where I won't be able to stabilize. Thanks everyone! ![]() |
