I will be all alone Tuesday because the part that we have been waiting nearly a year for for our recalled GM car finally came in and they made this appointment for tomorrow a month ago.

Neighbor on call for any emergency.

Hey,where is everyone? Man, is it cold here. It feels like it could snow.

Babette, I sure wish you would get over this pneumonia. take care. I'm glad the neighbor is on standby.

Doris, how are you and hubby doing? Has he been behaving himself?

I'm doing great. just resting for a few days after my dear friends visit.

last night we had more cat drama. There's a large black and white tom cat that roams this whole area. He's decided that our small Momma cat has to get out of Dodge or he'll kill her. Last evening he chased her all over and she's all battered up with fur missing. He defecated on her bed and on our antique wicker porch furniture where Momma lays. She's spayed and no longer smells like a female. So its not a sexual thing. He's trying to kill her. Cathy went out and snatched her up as he was about to claw her again. Cathy brought her in where she still remains. Now we have to see how she and Harlan, Cathy's cat,get along. Momma is our third rescue cat and we're still rescuing her.

Nothing planned for today.

Oh my, Verleen, I've had to talk to dog owners before, but cat owners won't keep that Tom cat indoors just because it's being mean! Dang, that is scary and makes you angry, too. What next? So you guys need to use the furnace, eh? Someone I know in Wisconsin turned theirs on.

Sharon, I'm glad you can stay indoors and just do as you see fit, on those hot, miserable, days.

Babette, I'm glad your neighbors are prepared to help you, will they call or come by, just to see for sure?

Michele, I too wonder if your handy dude came by!!

We got up to 74 degrees, cool for here, dh yanked out a huge shrub that is just "green" and he doesn't like that, he wants to put a big Hydrangea in it's place.

Picking up Silas later on, and doing the phone jog now about med bills and stuff.

Good Day!

Hi kids-

I must be regressing. I bought myself a doll at Target yesterday. She is the clone of the American Girl dolls and will be used as a mannequin for doll dresses I'm making for my step-granddaughter Genna. Genna will be 9 next month and loves American Girl dolls. I'm making the Native American dress in white leather and the kimono in a Japanese print with cranes in it. Will post pictures once I finish the dresses. I must admit I really wanted the doll to play with myself - incentive for making more costumes, I suppose.

Babette, I'm sorry you've been so sick. If you can sit outdoors and enjoy some company, that should help your healing, as someone else mentioned. I swear by the codeine cough syrup and a doctor once told me it's the only thing that works. Hope you mend quickly now.

I've been fighting off pain today - finally took naproxen sodium on top of the prescription stuff and it's helping. Sometimes the prescription stuff won't touch inflammatory pain. Go figure.

DH has recovered nicely from his gall bladder surgery - just 4 teeny incisions and that's it. Amazing what they can do.

DH will be playing at Millbrook winery next Saturday afternoon. I can't drink these days, but the place makes excellent wines so I will likely pick some up just to have for guests. It will be a fun outing - the place is just beautiful.

That's about it for now. Here are some shots of the doll dress patterns.

All the best,

-Louise

Louise you are so talented. I would love receiving some handmade garments made special for my doll. What fun to make.

I think I have the right thread this time. Hahaha! Wasn't paying attention when I posted earlier. Must be Old Age Disease.

Good morning/afternoon all. Another quiet day for me, but things are coming together for N....she has keys to her new place and will be moving stuff in starting today. It's be nice having someone in the house but will be so good when she and the little ones get settled.

Good to hear from our friends and love the costumes, Louise. Such industry....and Verleen, sorry about the Tom that won't leave your little one alone.. I hate it that people let their animals run the neighborhood like that.

Healing thoughts to all who need 'em (and keeping a bit for myself as well).

Louise, you are very talented and Patient!!! Those tiny doll clothes are hard on the eyes and fingers to manipulate to sew them properly. Your granddaughter will be so happy to see these new outfits for her doll. Did you like to play with dolls as a young girl, or were you a tomboy?

Sharon, do you make up a list or lists before you pack your stuff for camping? We used to do that, when we went to Camp Pit, way up by Burney, PG & E camp. At least you will be used to going there and know what to take FOR SURE, lol.

Mary, are you feeling a bit better today? Hope so. Glad your niece is getting into her own place now.

I tried to post earlier and it wouldn't go, for some reason, it said "no such page", weird.

We finally got a thunder and lightening show with rain last evening.
I sat out on the back patio and enjoyed the whole thing.

Back to hot and humid today.

Yes, I'm happy to report the handyman did show up after work yesterday. Yippee!

Have been going to meetings out of the office everyday this week. It's been so nice not to have to drive all the way downtown!

Waving to all and sending healing thoughts to everyone,

Michele

Michele, glad to hear your handyman showed. I was glad to get a few of my jobs done yesterday by my handyman.

Louise, Thanks for sharing those adorable dolls and costumes. Yes you really are talented and using your gifts to the fullest.

Hugs to Mary, Babette, Louise, Verleen, Mary T and All not feeling up to par today.
