Friday May 9
Doris sent me a brief email with her I phone and asked me to start this.
So everyone have a great Friday:hiya:
Thank you so much for starting the roll, Linda. I couldn't get my computer to go on the internet at the place, had to take the lap top down to the front desk for them to do something :dunno:
What a trip from heck, friends. I will phone dh's doctor at home tomorrow to be sure he has an appt. on Monday, early. If I wait until Monday, he may not get in.
This casino hotel place, Twin Arrows, has nice rooms, but terrible parking lot, handicapped is far away, and they don't let you stop in front and take your luggage out, and then let you drive to park. So lots of walking and carrying. dh barely made it inside, made him go to the room and then I made several trips to bring stuff in.
Thanks to Doug for offering to help out, too, and a former neighbor that lives in LA offered to help, if we would have continued on the trip.
Tomorrow we head for Amarillo, Tx and then home on Saturday. I need some alka seltzer and then going to bed.
Begete, didn't you have something like this happen to you on one of your trips, too?
Waving at everyone :hiya:
Sorry to hear about the Accessibility problems Doris. You should call the desk and ask about that.
It is law up here. Call the Accessibiltiy Police!
Hope you are feeling a bit better as each day passes.:hugs::heart::hugs:
Linda, thank you for leading us on today. How are you these days? Did that bug finally leave or still lingering? :hugs:
:jumpjoy: Well I finally made it into the 140's stepped on the iron monster this morning at 149.6:up:
I have my exercise class at 11:30 this morning and a hair appointment at 1:30 pm. So taking care of me today. ;):D
Waving to All and thoughts of Doris and G on their travels back home.:hugs:
Susan....I am green with envy. I keep hovering around 161, trying to break the 160 mark on the way down. I guess my "new friends" out here are so used to me being overweight (and I am only 5'3 1/4") that I had one friend tell me I was getting too thin! I want to lose another 30 pounds.
Doris, Yes, we have been sick on vacations, but never anything as serious as what you and G are experiencing. I hope this last leg of your return trip passes easily and safely.
Thanx for the start, Linda.
Nothing much planned for today. We are spending Mother's day in Vancouver, BC with friends and it's a pot luck, so need to do some cooking today.
Have a good one.
Ongoing prayers for you and dh, Doris.
Susan, I'm SO excited for you! Way to go!
Begete, it really tickled me to hear your friends think you are too thin!
Thanks to everyone for keeping the conversation going!
Tomorrow I should make my first goal of 21 days. All I have to do is not quit!
Wednesday evening I hit an emotional wall over some challenges with my daughter and ended up eating way too much of the wrong stuff. Calorie count for that day was nearly 2000 - my goal is 1200. For much of the day on Thursday, I felt like I had a hangover, and the effect was both emotional and physical. It can be hard after a binge to get back on plan, but feeling like crap is a strong motivator.
Good morning y'all...TGIF...nothing planned for today except I plan on keeping it that way.
Susan, so excited for you, you give me impetus to hop back on the wagon to lose my next goal of 150's....Babette, we can do it.
Doris, our prayers are with you and hope things are going well for you and DH today.
Good vibes going out to all and a couple of hugs, too....
Rain today so no yard work.
Don't think we are going for crabs tonight as they were not very good last week.DH may change his mid before night fall.lol
Doris, this is so scary for the two of you with G. driving sick and you not being able to help.Hope it goes as well as can be expected.Hope you can find stuff to eat like soups.
Way to go Susan.
Thank YOU ladies for those kind words of encouragement.
I just hope I can keep it up until I get in the 130's. So many invitations to go for lunch and supper at different restaurants. I don't enjoy eating out if I can't have what I want. I may as well not go.:dunno:
Thinking of Doris and G as they make tracks homeward. :hugs::heart::hugs:
Hey there...checking in again. Of course, I couldn't do absolutely nothing today, so did find some mischief in which to delve. Had to make a run to the marketo (I started calling it that when in Japan, as that's the Japanese word for a market.) because I opened my last can of dog food...and, of course, spent over $100 sticking to my list. Good thing nothing jumped into it. Although I did pick up a salmon filet and tortellini which hit the spot tonight.
Doris, hope the run to Albuquerque was uneventful and you're both feeling better.
A nice visit with the sister missionaries today, a good dinner under the belt, and no major coughing fit makes this a good day. Hope you had a good one as well....hasta manana.
Susan, that casino is owned by Native Americans or Indians, on their land, so they don't need to follow established laws that we have.....we did find a kind valet guy who came up and took the stuff down to us this morning.
Susan, you are doing well, you have done it before so can do it again, and like so many, even again, like me ;) and again, I've done it 6 times now I think. Keeping it off is the real kicker, I think I need to be locked in a room for 4 months, period. :) I'm not crying about it anymore, though. Too many other things going on.
I'll post tomorrow's roll in a while.
Waving at everyone, we should be home tomorrow.
