Power Lifting

We have been staying in an upstairs apartment while our house is being built. We have to carry the groceries from the car, which is parked a distance away, and then we have to carry them up 24 steps. We are 64 & 71 and we never really had stairs in our lives, so it was a huge shock to us when we moved in. But we're getting used to it! Not saying I like it...

Today we each carried a 1-gallon jug of water up the stairs. It weighed 8 pounds. It was surprisingly HEAVY! The point is, IF YOU DON'T THINK LOSING 8 POUNDS IS A VERY BIG DEAL, go heft a gallon of water or a 10-pound roast.

Well said, RyeBaby!

Come share your daily exercise with us on the Exercise thread here.

Well done on those 24 steps and lifting those groceries, that should keep you both fit. If we don't use it we lose it right?
