Weigh in for me is around three today... hoping ...

Not much else to say for me tonight. A little sleepy. Doing good low carb wise. I have noticed that since I went back to low carb, my feet, legs, ankles have not been swollen in two weeks. NO foot pain whatsoever. My blood glucose readings are back into the 90s. And my bp is way better. Yay. Sitting here with a cup of coffee and and a splash of almond milk listening to Frasier in the background. Love that man!! Have a great day everyone.

Good Monday Morning All,

Love those blue birdies Sheila. I am sure Gladys will enjoy seeing them too.
I was so sorry to hear of your losses. I know only too well about the comfort eating. WE can do this.

I worked yesterday and felt really good all day and evening.
Today I am feeling a bit low on energy but I have the day to recover. Ha!
I hope to get out for a walk with DD and her dog Billy for an hour walking in the woods.

Linda, DS walked around Watkins Glen yesterday. He said that he really enjoyed the spectacular scenery and the fresh air. He has been covering a lot of ground since he left here on Wednesday reviewing lots of hotels and such.
This morning he woke up with a really bad sore throat and his chest is aching and full. He is taking the day off to rest at his hotel before moving on the NYC. I hope he can shake it off with out resorting to antibiotics.

Doris, Hope you enjoy your visit with your dear Mom, sounds like she needs some one on one TLC.

Waving to ALL and hope to check back later...

Good Morning Folks-
The office is celebrating Cinco de Mayo with tons of food. Nachos being the BIG go to of course. I brought some salami and real cheese for a snack and I believe that I'll be okay! I will leave at lunchtime, take my salad with me and eat in the park. Hopefully, I'll also feel like walking after my meal.
All my vegetables are growing in the garden and so far, my only competition has been an opossum checking the status as often as I am
Really, no complaints from this side of the US. I am flying down to see my boyfriend (what an odd word to use at my age!) in Southern California so am looking forward to that! We have become Southwest Airlines sole reasons for their large profit margin gain!
Hope everyone has a great start to the new week.

Janis and her pack of low riders

Good Morning, gang.
Off to grab some motel breakfast and then head out to the lovely Los Angeles highways. It might even rain a bit tomorrow, and it's strangely cool there.

See ya tonight, take care, ALL of you guys.

Good morning to all!
Off to do errands, phone calls, etc., etc. today. Going up to high 80's today. Love it.
Stops at the pharmacy, post office and calls to eye doctor and on my qwest for cheaper auto insurance. Don't know if I should be dropping some of the coverage as my car is now four years old (only 11,000 miles), any advice?
Hope Loiuise is doing okay. Anyone have Lainey's phone number? Susan, I'm glad you're back to work, etc.
Ttfn.....

Good morning,

As DH and I have bad colds, we are staying in today and resting. Tomorrow we have our semi annual visits to the dermatologist on the mainland, and Wednesday, I am supposed to lead an expedition for my garden club to a rare plant nursery on the peninsula. I sure hope we are well enough. and for calm seas as we need the ferry system to get both places.

Julie, it's always a good idea to shop for new ins. every few years . We saved a lot by going with another company, the one that starts with "G".

Good morning y'all...normal Monday for me; opening the family history center for the missionaries, then looking for trouble to get into. Will do some study while there...not sure what but I do need to review last week's Spanish lesson, so that'll probably be it.

I am looking forward to tomorrow, tho', as I'm going to be visiting a tyro to cooking and starting her on the path. I couldn't believe that a 20-something lady has no idea of cooking, so when she asked for lessons in Relief Society, I jumped at the chance to teach. She say's she can't cook anything but is a whiz with the microwave. Will definitely let you know how it goes tomorrow. I'm going over to see what she has in her kitchen and what she wants to learn.

Janis, enjoy the visit with the boyfriend (and I agree that it does sound funny at our ages, but enjoy the relationship.) Have you checked out Jet Blue fares? My niece recently came down from Sacto and said their fares were so much better than Southwest....of course, they don't fly into every port, but maybe it'll work for you, too.

Enjoy our cool weather, Doris, as you know for sure the temps will climb...probably about the time you hit the central valley...chuckle.

Susan, hope your DS shakes the bug and can continue his trip without too much difficulty. I'm sure you're glad to be back home and settling back into your routine.

Waving at all the rest and wishing you a great day...type ya later.

Doris, we know that In-N-Out in Barstow very well. That is where we usually stop for fuel and food before hitting the LA area.

Doug, is that In & Out usually so packed with people when you stop by there? It was packed, and people were squeezing onto tables outside, never saw anything like it before!

We walked Downtown Disney, had lunch and waited for them to call when the room was ready, got in here after 1:30, dh is napping, he is worn out already. Has a cough ever since we hit Arizona, so may need to stop at urgent care at some point if it continues.

Hoping Louise is doing allright.
Begete, hope you and John get rid of those colds soon, so you can get out again.
Linda, hope you are better.
Sharon, is the therapy still going on, and for how long?

Janis, wishing you a safe trip down "south".

The traffic was a mess down here, lol, bumper to bumper, we got here after 9 am in the area, and it was still commute time.

Waving at Gladys, and yes, we are doing these trips now rather than waiting till we are older and can't travel anymore. Been meeting several other Vietnam Vets all along the trip, and just today, dh met 5 of them just after checking into the hotel.

Julie, I'd take Linda's suggestion and check out some other companie's rate, just to see, doesn't cost anything. We switched back to what we had in Calif., over what we changed to when we moved.

Take care of yourselves!

Thanks for all the prayers, thoughts etc. Appreciate all of them and really need all of them.

8 pounds gone in two weeks. Not bad. I resumed movement today. Lol, meaning more than I usually move around. will post on exercise board. Great to be back.
