I plan on waking up and going to lunch. That will be about it for today. I will have to walk up and down a flight of stairs.

OK, I just hope that some of your comments are jokes, as it is so important to move especially in our age group. We don't have to kill ourselves or even put up a sweat but just get those legs moving. We sure want to be able to walk when we reach a ripe of old age of ?????

So lets make it at least 1 mile a day at any pace.

Somebody needs to go tie Loretta down so she stops showing us up so badly. 3.9 mile walk and upper/lower with Jane. GEEZ.

Healing prayers to all who are recovering/feeling poorly.

Yesterday was my first day back to a better activity level after having the crud, and it was GOOD. Several hours of yard work, 30 minute walk with dog and hubbie - which was particularly fun since it was after dark on a trail that wanders through fields and woods, and about 40 minutes of tennis, also after dark, which I love.

Romy, we have been joking for over 10 years now..............;) We know the Drill about exercise at our age. I'm riding in a car from Texas to California, so will continue to "sit on my butt" for a whole bunch of hours most every day for several weeks. Believe me, we Know the drill, and each does what they can, same as you. :)

Dog walk which is just a stroll for my little old guy.

Doris, I remember when you used to get your butt on the bike for 3 hours so you are now allowed to sit in the car. I know you will walk or find some stairs to climb, when you can get out of the car. You are so creative at finding ways to move it.:clap::up:

I need a new exercise bike, Susan, that is the problem we have now, but need to get this trip out from under our belts, first. When daughter in law starts nursing school, we will have our grandson at the house much more often too, so have to make up a new "routine" for living, as opposed to "existing" up in the mountains. :) I did the bike for hours because there was nothing else to do, now there are lots of things that need my attention. And it sure makes it harder, same as you, you have a job still, and your granddaughter and daughter live near you, and so forth. It's different. We will be walking at Disneyland for sure.

Took a short walk around all the stores and motels after dinner. They have built another section of stores behind the motel, used up a lot of desert area. So many people here today, guess because it's Sunday.

Safe travels Doris. You will always manage some sort of exercise, It's in your bones by now.

Romy, I started walking at about age 50 and now at 74 am still walking. I guess it's a habit by now. I am slowing down but so what. I do try to speed things up.
Still doing workout of upper and lower body about 5 days a week. I feel blest to be able to continue to do so.

Walk 3.73 miles this morning, 63 min.

We have already walked up and down Downtown Disney 4 times, plus from the Paradise Pier Hotel, so getting the walking in. I want to change shoes for when we go down there later on, when the music starts. We don't have tickets to the park until tomorrow, saved us some money.

my exercise routine has started today. Have not done much in many months. Did 6 whole minutes of Zumba. I feel like a new person. All those endorphins rushing to my brain. HA!!

Back when I first started the exercise bike, I did 7 minutes, Sheila. From small things can come great things, but don't quote me :dunno:

We walked up and down somemore today, had dinner, and are now in the room, pooped out like old folks!! dh wants me to go down and get him a diet soda of some kind though.

1 hr Yoga class

Anything I can manage to squeeze into each hour, few minutes of movement here and there.

How nice you saw deer on your walk, Loretta. It's always a treat to see critters.

Yesterday's exercise:
  • First day back on the elliptical. 35 minutes, fairly high intensity interval workout. It was really nice to get a good sweat and endorphin rush again.
  • Walk with doggie and baby, 30 minutes at pace of about 3.5 mph.

OMG!!! The Yoga class went for 1 hour and 45 minutes the teacher got carried away.
She said that she prefers the class to be 1 hr 30 mins and everyone said they were okay with that. So at least I know now for next week.

I walked up and down after the class at Costco to get my supplies. $145 was the damage.
I then was up and down the basement putting things in the freezer and spare fridge down there.

90 knee waist twists so far today, (3 sets of 30)
I may squeeze another 30 in before bedtime

I've been walking several long blocks to get some supper, and then back down to get tea and honey, for dh, and then black coffee for myself, so, I really did get a lot more walking done than I thought I would.........:)
