Wandering in to mark my place. Pooped here and hope to finally get a good nights sleep.

Hugs to those needing them.

Hi everyone,

Had a very busy Saturday with the garden club plant sale followed by a party at the other end of the island.

Tomorrow I do my volunteer job at the Rhodie garden.

Julie, what I wouldn't give to get a decent dinner delivered for $6.50!what a deal....you are very fortunate,

Off to bed....

modon69478 04-27-2014 07:01 AM

Julie, How far will they deliver?? Hee, hee - I think that's such a great idea - I wish we had something like that here. I know there are some, but they are so expensive and they make you commit to more than I want.

Hope you all have a great day!
Michele

Yes, I think Julie's senior community is special and looks towards the needs of the people that live there very well. Julie, you are danged lucky to be there!! :)

Humid here, windy, might rain, which around here means 14 drops!!! I'm serious, weather "experts" here :p:p.

Off to the kids later on for grilled meat of some sort, and some laughs.

Enjoy the day, if you can, friends.

Good morning all...first night of sleeping through the night; no trips to the loo, no coughing or night sweats, just peaceful sleep all night long. What a blessing. So the antibiotics must be doing something.

BTW, don't think I've mentioned my sunday school started a seven-week class in family history. I guess they do this once a year to help newbies get started on their genealogy. The director of the center is the teacher, but I feel a part of it, so that's another good thing.

Just running through to wave to all and wish you all a great day...

I'm Back Home!

It is bright and sunny, the grass is green, my tulips are pushing through, and the temps are not too bad. Yeah!
I must do this next Winter for sure.

I think I will move to Julie's community, those dinners sound just the ticket.

I am sorting mail that the neighbour collected for me while I was away.
A nice slow pace day after the travel day yesterday. All went well, a smooth flight all on time and direct. DSonIL picked us up last night and dog slept most of the way. He was calmer coming back at least.

Waving to All and some catching up with you all again.

Sunday Checking In

Good Sunday Morning Everyone--
Managed a whopping 18 minutes on the treadmill today which is better than nothing, barely :) Still doing well on Atkins though no new weight loss to share. Think I'll crawl in bed with the kids (all 4 legged in my case) and see just how sloth like I can be.
Hope everyone's day is everything they want it to be.

Janis and her pack of wanna be taller dachsies...:jumpjoy:

SuSUN 04-27-2014 10:51 AM

Sounds like my kind of day Janis.

mykneesareback 04-27-2014 11:59 AM

Janis, years ago, when I began the exercise bike at home, I did 7 min., mostly was afraid I'd fall off, lol. But as anything else new, you work your way into it, and begin other things. At least you have your exercise unit at home, don't even have to dress up, or at all, if you don't want to!! Join us on the daily Exercise thread please.

Hi Susan, glad you and your pup and son are back home, safe and mostly sound! ;) You are ready for Springtime, eh?

Mary, have a friendly day at church.

We will head out to the kids later this afternoon for dinner.

Begete, do you get a lot of visitors looking at the rhoadies on Sundays?

ocali 04-27-2014 01:42 PM

I promise not to bore you with all the meal menus anymore, but this is what is coming tonight. I plan to do this once or twice a week. Okay, here is tonight's meal.
Roast beef, mashed potatoes, carrots, salad, dinner roll, and dessert.
I used to pick up a meal once in a while from a business called Doing Dinner.
I was up during the night and looked out. I saw a strange animal running across my lawn. I looked it up on line today, and I think it was a weasel. We also have an occasional bear, though I've never seen one, rabbits, the usual squirrels, armadillos, etc.
Just watched a netflix movie and landed up crying at the end. Boo Hoo!

mykneesareback 04-27-2014 01:48 PM

How neat is that, Julie!!! My dh was just in here, and happened to read your note, he would like to live in your community, too, lol. I can't get over a weasel, I hadn't even thought about that kind of animal anymore, I'd like to see one, but somewhere else, lol.

Just making up dh's deviled eggs, for snack later on tonight. It's turned humid again, but we have fans on inside, still no A/C in the house, but we used it in the car 2 days ago.

SuSUN 04-27-2014 02:25 PM

Awww, that weasel must have been in strange territory. 'Pop goes the weasel,' I guess?

Julie, your dinner sounds delish. Enjoy! And, do please go ahead and bore us with the menu's. Gives us ideas. Sorry you shed a few tears at the movie.

Doris, great words of encouragement there for Janis. So very true to start off we need to be patient with our bodies.

I had a relaxing soak in the tub with some lavendar and some soft peaceful music. I am revitalised now after the travels. I got a roast out for tonight's dinner.
DS is out visiting his friends while he is up here, so I tasked him to bring home some fresh veggies. I will need to get out this week for a re stocking.

Just finished watching an episode of 'Vera' - a British drama - and saw 'Mrs. Hughes'. Wow, she sure looked different without her Downton Abbey getup! But, I knew it was her, once she started speaking.

If you haven't seen 'Vera', give it a shot - I think you'll like it!

I'm home! Surgery went well and pt is coming here tomorrow to set up visiting a couple times a week. I'm using the walker and not getting behind in my pain meds. I'm so glad I did this. I'll be ready for camping at the end of August. Thank you so much for all your well wishes. Heading for my bed now and some knee lifts before heading to the land of nod.
