WEDNESDAY'S ROLL CALL, April 23

Time's flying by again, spent time on the phone haggling with med stuff, but it was solved after a bit of snapping at them.........

See you all Wednesday morning

So sorry to hear that Mary has pneumonia. That's not a fun thing to have at all. Speedy recovery to you.

Mary, I just read yesterday's post, what a bummer of a day you had!! Glad you finally got meds going now to help you. Hope you feel better soon

Linda, are you going for your usual exercise now?

We got up close to 8 am, sort of late for us, going to stay home and just get chores done and muddle around. It was 86 yesterday, and not much wind. dh sat out front and talked to neighbors walking by with dogs or otherwise. Quite a few older retired folks here.

Cleaning out the fridge today, put out the garbage tonight. Will bring in another box from the garage.

Susan, hang tough!! . ((hugs)) for Louise.

Trying out some new shoes for my sore heel, so far, they seem to help.

Good morning all...thanks for the kind thoughts. I knew it would be an adventure in the ER, I guess that's one of the reasons I put it off so long. I'm not sure the diagnosis is correct and I don't think they think it's right; but from the amount of blood they drew maybe we'll find out later. I didn't know they drew so much to diagnose pneumonia. So won't really know anything until the techs take at a look at it.

Not sure I like taking antibiotics but if they help the huffy-puffy's anything is a blessing. Gotta laugh at the pharmacy, tho', the dosage is take two tablets first day, then one each for six days...and they gave me seven tablets. And this by a pharmacy tech after the outpatient pharmacy had been closed for some time so they can't say they were that busy.

I guess I should be staying in bed (particularly after not being able to sleep last night and was awake 'til after two am) but it's my day at the family history center and gotta go so the other lady isn't alone....plus I'm always hoping a newbie will walk in and need some help.

Have a great day folks and I hope good things come your way.

Thanks Doris, Hope the shoes are helpful to your sore heel.
I think I can hang tough for the tail end of this trip. I think I left my brains at the border, so a very peaceful and relaxing trip.
Sounds like G is enjoying the sunshine and the passing company.
I too wish there were more seniors around here. They are mostly young working couples so not much company in the day time.

We ate out again last night. I had salmon with grilled veggies, hard choices off their menu. It was an expensive place on Park Avenue and we sat outside, very enjoyable ambience.

Julie, Me Too! Sorry WE couldn't get together this trip. I had no car to get anywhere. I had to rely on DS when he comes home from work and weekends.
Next year I will need to figure out how to get my car down here.
I believe there is a train from Virginia to put the car on and it comes right into Orlando. It is getting from Canada to Virginia. ha!

Sharon, Your knee surgery will go like clockwork. They are so skilled at this nowadays. And, yes those PT guys are the best to get you up and going promptly. Pain meds and ice will help your recovery. I am sure the boys will miss you but will be all over you upon your return. Nice to come home to wagging tails huh?

Mary, Glad that you got sorted at the ER, so sorry for your long wait. Usually if there is a breathing problem you are triaged first. Rest now as you recover dear friend.

Linda, hope those pesky meds settle down for you soon. Glad to hear that you have your own chompers. Ha!

Gladys, YOu have been a busy gal with all that riding and grass mowing. Do you get any requests to drive those new cars from show room to show room? That was a neat little job huh?

Waving to All,

My best to Mary and Sharon for a speedy recovery.

I missed whatever happened to Susan?

My tummy is still sore, but if it really lasts only 4 days, this should be the last day!

Good Morning Ladies -
Am enjoying reading the posts and getting to "know" everyone. Still plodding along - did lose 2 pounds from last week's weigh in -- better than a gain.

hello.........hello Its been a long time. First, I want to thank Doris and everyone else for the lovely card. What a special treat that was. Some day soon I will read back posts and catch up to you all. I was released yesterday from the nursing home. I've been mostly hospitalized since later part of January. I had 4 falls - broke foot, shoulder and hip - all on right side, plus a concussion on one fall. Now I'm doing very well. Without me here, all the Christmas stuff is still up. That's my first project. I sure missed you folks.

Oh my, Verleen, we have been wondering about you for weeks and weeks, so happy to see you post again. Christmas decorations, now that will keep a person busy, right now. I worried so much about the pain you had to be suffering through, with those kinds of injuries. Lordy!!!

Hope to see you posting again, as time and energy permits!!! Whoopee!!!

Welcome back, girlfriend! Forget the Xmas decorations. The FIRST thing you must do is email each of us who have an old email address and give us your new email, new home address and phone number.

We feared you were dead!

Now that we know Verleen is safe, ladies and Doug, our next project should be to help Lainey. Anyone have an old laptop or tablet we could chip in to send her?

Yes, wishing Sharon well tomorrow, for sure!!!

Verleen, we all seem to have very old email addresses of yours, lol, and finding your present address had us checking links we never heard of before

I had an older laptop, that my brother gave me, but I sent it to my friend in California, because she didn't have anything anymore and couldn't afford anything. Her cable company leased lap tops, though, but she wanted one with a larger monitor, wonder if Lainey's cable com. leases lap tops? Wonder why her best friend Mary Ann won't let her use her computer, just to read and post now and then?? Pondering thoughts.

Mary, how are you feeling today? Now, in the evening, I mean??

Be back later to post tomorrows Roll Call.

Doug, was your sister surprised to see you last weekend?
