MONDAY'S ROLL CALL, April 21

It was a fun but tiresome day today, friends. Didn't overeat though...didn't feel like eating, really. Nothing like the old days of waiting for Easter Sunday and having treats and a good dinner.

Let's start the week out fresh, hopefully with some warmer days, it's about time!! :high5:

:sing:

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter Sunday. Ours was very low key . Just the way I like it.

Off to visit the family tomorrow, if I can walk OK. This antibiotic just about killed me.

Had 3/4 of an inch of a good rain last night. Now, THAT was an Easter blessing!

Picking up grandson later on today, and general household chores today.

Have a good day, hoping things go smoothly during the daily stresses of our lives, everyone of us has those......:console:

Safe travels for those hitting the roads.

It was a tiring weekend what with getting the church decorated for Easter on Saturday and getting dinner ready for Sunday. All the kids and grands came out for dinner. The weather was beautiful and we got to be out on the porch.

Meeting Step Daughter for lunch today. Busy week up coming also. Doctors appts and thing like that. Want to get some planting done, tomatoes, peppers.
Glad that the weather is warming up.

Hope you will get better Linda. Enjoy the visit with family.

Loretta, do you do the bell peppers, that you can stuff, or the smaller ones that are just cut up? We have never tried planting peppers, but they are expensive in the store, a times. Good Luck!! I think dh is considering some kind of vegetable to plant, but in a container, not bending over in the backyard on the dirt.

Lots of odds and ends to do today, phone calls to make, etc. Some more rain is expected, too.

Good morning y'all. Just normal busy here this week; I don't think I added anything but I'll check the calendar to make sure. Tonight is the dinner with the sisterhood, so maybe that's special.

Funny about the pepper plants. We had such a crazy winter, both my pepper and tomato plants made it through the winter and I had fruit in December. I've repotted them into bigger pots and I've peppers growing now. The pepper plant was great as it would give me one pepper a week and kept up with my eating them...the tomato, to', is cherry tomatoes so never made it to the table...as they ripened, I ate 'em just off the vine. Was thinking of adding a larger one, but ran out of space on the patio.

Mary, do you have trouble with squirrels and/or birds eating the cherry tomatoes, or do you cover the plant with some protection? We have a lot of birds and some squirrels here, in every yard. :)

Doris, no squirrels in my neck of the woods, only ground squirrels here...and no trouble with birds eating the cherry tomatoes, either. Guess I'm lucky that way.

I caught the stomach bug making the rounds here, so been in bed most of yesterday and today.

Doris, peppers of any kind do pretty well in pots, but the small ones seem to do better for me.

I plant a pepper called a Gypsy pepper. It is light in color and mild in taste and leaves no strong after taste of pepper.

Last year groundhogs ate most of the cauliflower plants. I think we got one out of 7 plants.
