Good morning y'all...May gray came early this year, and we've the chance of sprinkles as a new low pressure system moves through. Expecting Da Niece and nephew this morning, so excited about that. Moving slowly to keep the coughing at a minimum but doing bit of cleaning before they get here.

I'll BBL, have a great day...

Good morning.

Nice Sedar last night at the Unitarian Church.

Susan, Hydrangeas should be fine in Canada, as they loved cold winters in Philadelphia.

Off to eye doc....need to decide about cataract surgery.....

Shopped for Easter Dinner and had lunch with oldest DS who will be here until Sunday after dinner. We had a nice visit and played some Scrabble when we got back.

Nice weather for Resurrection day on the way.

Loretta, I meant to tell you yesterday how lovely your flower in your Avi is.

Gladys, That is a terrific idea to let the Granddaughters have a lovely bracelet.

Doris, THANK YOU for the great advice re going lighter. I have always had mine done at the salon. I don't have any talent for colouring my hair. So I will discuss exactly what you suggested with my girl. Every 6 weeks I will go a tad lighter. Thanks again for that crucial advice. I am mainly white on one side at the front but the rest is a mix of dark brown so I will still have some roots that show, but that's okay.
I can't wait to get back home now to start my new look.

Hope G has enough mulch now. You must have the prettiest and tidiest garden on the block.

Babette, Oh goodie I am glad that Hydrangeas like the cold. How about a dumping of snow on them? I will probably need to make some of those protection frames or buy them huh? Thanks for that good news.

Great visit with the niece and it was good to meet the husband...Finding it difficult to call him da nephew, but maybe that will come with time.

Love the discussion on the hydrangeas. My mother struggled with hers in Oklahoma and it seems as tho' she could never get it taller than two or three feet. When we made our trip to Seattle, that's what she fell in love with, the gorgeous ones that were several feet high and covered with blooms. Your area, Babette, is perfect for growing them. I also saw a lot when I lived in West Point, NY, so I'm sure they'll do well in your neck of the woods, Susan.

The plant I miss is the lilac; and then I found out recently there is a variety that grows well here in SoCal. I'm going to check with my nursery man if I remember it next time I'm driving by. It would make a nice addition to my patio; niece loved my patio plants and commented that we must have a gardening gene in our makeup.

Guess I'd better shut this down and head to bed...talk to you in the morning. Sleep tight...
