SATURDAY'S ROLL CALL, April 5

Hope you can enjoy your Saturday, friends.

We will be babysitting early, and later on, heading for a ride on Thomas the Tank Engine.

It's cool today, sitting here with sweater on, warm socks, etc.

See you Saturday morning, bright eyed and bushy.

Good morning Doris, Lainey, and all that follow,

Lots of errands for me today - Vet to pick up more monthly heartworm medicine, mall to look for a scarf that goes with a new suit I recently bought, dry cleaners, and grocery store.

Am going to try making some chocolate OMMs, and LC pumpkin muffins later on.

Hope you all enjoy your day and stay dry, if rain is in your area.

Michele

Well the painers are gone - that was a typo, but accurate!

Despite our hiring a color specialist to help us choose a color that was NOT GREEN, our neighbors agree the walls have a green tinge. Even one of the painters who work for the woman weo holds herself out as a color specialist referred to the color as green.

We paid her just to get her out of here.

Maybe it will look better when we get our artwork up, but cannot do that til Tuesday.

Good morning all. Lazy day here, may just stick to pajamas all day long and just spend the day studying.

Doris, Enjoy the DGS...will be kind of hard to do with the rain and an energetic four-year old in the house.

Babette, I hope the color works for you and it does look good after the artwork is up.

Lainey, sorry you're having more 'puter problems.

The sun is shining and our temps are going into the 90's this weekend, so I'm sure glad the patio is neat and clean. I'm sure I'll be soaking in the hot tub, too. Have a good day folks, and I'll type ya later.

Hi all-

Working on 4 hours of sleep so I will definitely need a nap later. I got to bed around 1 am, then got up at 5 to take a pain pill and just didn't feel like going back to sleep. Oh well. It's a cloudy day so should be good for sleeping later.

Begete, grays are among the most difficult colors because they are usually a mixture of complementary colors that skew toward one of the complements. Avoid placing anything red near your gray wall as the visual interaction will push toward its complement (green). Yes, I studied color interaction in college and my painting professor, George Chaplin, was a student of Josef Albers, author of The Interaction of Color. Google either one of them and you'll see examples of color interaction. Getting your artwork up will diffuse things but I'd still suggest staying away from reds on or near that wall. Oranges might skew it more toward the blue end of the gray scale, but you'll have to experiment.

To that end, our bedroom needs repainting. It is a cool pale yellow that I hate because it has too much green in it. I think I'll go with an off white when we repaint though a warmer yellow would work. My bed linens are blue and white, which pushes the yellow toward the orange end of the spectrum, but not quite enough. Odd how these things can drive you batty!

Gotta go finish my brother-in-law's taxes and then I'll do ours, but I think I need that nap first.

Have a lovely weekend.

Thanks Doug and Linda about the xp advice. Guess I know that technology keeps going forward even though I don't want to.

Begete you might get some more opinions on the color until you like what one of them says. I think it is in the eye of the beholder. Sorry you are not satisfied.
