When you are dissatisfied with your age and would like to go back to youth, think of Algebra.

Fish Fries will be starting up this Friday. Hope we get some good crowds this year. It seems to be a lot of work without much profit.

Have a great week folks.

Loretta, sorry to read that poor John has no appetite, one of the many side affects from that stuff, hope he can enjoy the little things that he snacks on. My dh has that dentist appt. tomorrow, he notices 2 loose teeth for sure, and his bottom jaw on the right side feels "funny" to him and aches, so will see what the dentist thinks that it could be. They took lots of "before" pictures so they could see any changes, to show the insurance company, especially. Dental insurance has such odd rules of what they pay for these days.

See yah tomorrow.

Mary, I bought those Egglands when beginning a new Diabetic diet, about 4 yrs. ago, they had a peculiar taste to me, and were expensive, but I used them for 3 weeks, and then went back to regular eggs, that also have omega's in them, anyway, lost the same amount of weight, Eggland's didn't make weight loss any easier or better, and the people that put the book out admitted that they got some rewards for promoting them, and some other products in the book........when they say some food item or supplement is "better" for you, it's only better by some small amount, even 1/2 percent, does not really make a big deal to the normal body. In any case, they tasted "oily" because of what they feed the chickens. I'll never buy them again, and I notice they are on sale in stores often, now, probably to get rid of them. A person just can't follow every single little rule out there for an eating plan, drive yourself nuts trying to do that, and need a computer to figure it all out..........and still pass away at some point anyway. I'm too lazy to sit around and figure every little nutritional thing about what we eat, but that's just old me................ We are lucky we can afford more choices in foods than some people though.

Thursday's food MD

Hey Doris, you are so correct in your discussion of eggs. I only bought the EB's as they were on sale, $1.50 a dozen, and I normally pay $3 for 18. I had been wanting to try them, just for the taste, but since they don't taste any different, why bother. Our California eggs are pretty good and I'm happy with them;

T'was supposed to be a DD but it turned into a medium one, so that's okay, too. As I've said before, I'm not sweating the diet...what happens happens and I'm good with that. I do want to lose the next 30 pounds, but if I go before I do, that's the way the cookie crumbles.

coffee au lait and a JD light muffin about noon. (BTW, Doris, did you try the frozen muffins and if so, what did the DH think of them?)
s. mixed nuts and another cuppa

S. with the elders at Sizzler (brought the salmon & veggies home for breakfast tomorrow), had a cup of the vegetable soup (broth only and a couple of carrot slices), salad of lettuce, red cabbage, beets, carrots, cucumber, and cherry tomatoes...wine vinegar for dressing...one chicken wing (sigh!) a piece of garlic bread, and a few pineapple chunks...and a very tiny cup of cheese-cake cream-like pudding?

That's about 1000 kcals...

Mary, glad the elders were able to enjoy Sizzler, at those prices, too. I used to like some kind of pineapple, mandarin orange tropical stuff, forgot the name for it, old fashioned dessert.

B: mushrooms, green onions, garlic, 1/2 cup egg subs. smoked paprika
black coffee

L: pumpernickel bread sandwich, cheddar sharp cheese. raw cauliflower
black coffee

Snack: 2 H/B eggs, black coffee

D: daughter in law is ordering pizza to be delivered here, since we have grandson and son is coming here right after work, and she will be gone next week, lol.

Evening snack: don't know if I'll need more than black coffee

Friday's Foods UD

Thank goodness it was an up day...could have turned into an up, up and away day, though as I made biscuits for dinner and they were so good.

Doris, it was my pleasure to take the elders to Sizzler as I've been wanting to go there and it's a good excuse. The tropical dessert/dish, was that a type of ambrosia? I seem to remember it and I liked it as it wasn't too sweet as so often those type of dishes are. I will be glad with DST and summer as then I can have the elders for dinner here on the patio.

B. Had my cedar-planked salmon from Sizzler's and OMG, how good it was. I've got to figure out their sauce as it was delicious...that was it, just the salmon for breakfast.

s..coffee and a package of those mini-chocolate covered donuts.

S. chopped salad, beef stew, biscuits and a couple of lemon cookies the sister missionaries brought, then another biscuit with honey and now decaf.

I made a pact with one of the elders....his birthday is next week and he's going to stop drinking soda and I'm quitting coffee....sigh! it's time for me to do it.

1800 kcals and a whole lot of sweets...oh well, up days only come every other day....lol.
