SATURDAY ROLL CALL, Nov. 16

Gladys', sorry your Houston son couldn't visit, but if they are going to Chili, they sure can't get sick, when they come back, all should be better
Are you catching it now?

I'm hungry for real beef stew now, Sharon, Mary and Susan, lol. Have the fixin's, might do it Saturday afternoon! Sharon, I'm lazy, I just buy chicken broth from Swanson................

I'm tuckered out from all the walking at the Arena, those stairs were harder than I thought, that boot is so cumbersome, or I'm cumbersome.

Have a good night, friends, get some sleep!!!

Geesh, no time to get in here until now, put a low sugar pumpkin pie into the oven, for dh's birthday tomorrow, but he will have some tonight. Still getting used to this gas oven though.

We were out late last night, well, 11 is late for us, so slept in. It showered a bit in the middle of the night, but going to hit 70 today.

Lainey, so your computer was down, glad nothing wrong with You, personally though!!

Waving at everyone, going to make that beef stew in the cast iron pot later on, just like the "old" days, lol.

Have a good day! If you are able, to those that aren't.

Good morning all. Cloudy, cool and drizzlin' here. We're expecting temps in the 60's all week, so maybe Autumn has arrived. It's Saturday, a good reason for staying indoors, and the wet roads give me another...so it's going to be change the sheets, run the duster and the vacuum, and simmer that stew kinda day for me. Have a good one folks and I'll bbl.

Hi Everybody,

Round 1 of the errands is done and I'm taking a breath. The pest control guy was here nice and early, then I went to the vet - to pick up food, the watch repair store, and the grocery store. It's so nice out there - 72 degrees, just the way I like it. Will start the laundry in a minute and before you know it, it will be time to drop the pup off at the groomer. Tonight, I'm going with some friends to see that 'Last Vegas' movie that Susan recommended. Am going to try and sneak in my lower carb popcorn with me and a bottle of water (hee, hee).

Hope Gladys is feeling better and everyone else is up and getting to it!

BBL,
Michele

Michele, we used to bring in air popped corn into the theatre, just have a large purse, back then, no one looked inside it, but I don't know about Now! Isn't the warmth nice, for awhile??

It's still morning here on the Central Coast and my day is just beginning. Sending fast healing to the ones down with some type of bug. I still haven't been to get my flu shot yet. Need to do that soon.

Doris we cook in cast iron and love it. Must mean something. I don't know what? Ha! A great big to your Dh. Enjoy that yummy pumpkin pie!

Lainey was your computer down yesterday? I must go back and read yesterday's post. Glad to see you up and running.

I'm going to try an almond flour bread recipe that I found to go with the roast dinner tonight. Have a nice Sat. for all I missed. BBL

Hi gang, didn't get in here last night.

LOL Doris, the power of suggestion is really strong, isn't it? Now I'm wanting some home made beef stew.
Nice that you got out last night and had a good time.

Lainey, I'll have go go look at yesterday's post. Didn't know what happened, but happy to see you back.

Mary, enjoy your rainy day chores. At least your temps aren't too bad.

Michelle, Good luck getting that pop corn in the movie theater. It isn't too difficult.

Babette, Awesome flash mob. Love those.

Linda, You still haven't told me who is in your Avi pic?

Thanks again Doris for our kick out the door.
Too bad that boote is cumbersome. Hope it helps with the healing.

I went to a Church Bazaar this morning with 3 others from our little group. I bought a few items.
Then two of us went to the river front park for a lovely walk for 2 hours in the fresh air and warm temp and the sunshine.

I went for a few groceries on my way home and picked up a nice fillet mignon $8.33, some button mushrooms and cabbage, that was my supper. I have been eating fish and chicken lots lately and decided I needed some red meat for some iron. I think my iron reserves will be topped up now. D

I am ready for a relaxing evening and some TV.

Waving to All and hope to BBT...

Sorry Susan, that is my nephew, his new bride, his mom and his dad, my brother, Lance.

Nice meal. There is nothing better than a good steak, IMHO.

WOE: Summer foods- back to UP DAYS/DOWN DAYS Oct. 1, 13

Good Evening. An early to bed to read for me....

be riht back- need a sweater....
I'mm baaack! Temp must be dropping.
The tech (between 3: & 5: ) got here nigh on 6: I told him the computer worked perfect now but I had other questions- he said OK but he checked the signal on his way over and needed to check it anyway- he looked over it and then had to go up the pole in the dark outside and was up there a long time. He mentioned that I would need a new modum (60.00) soon. To avoid the nightmare of being without a computer again I went for it now. He said it could be a Christmas present to myself- told him I liked his approach to problem solving! I got up at 6: am to clean out the computer room/library and the living room and put in a solid 9 hours without a break... my Lord- I had to empty the Dyson twice. I am so ashamed. Well, it is a great start to finally making this house presentable. I don't want to live like a bear anymore just because I live alone. I am shooting for a really pretty house for New Year's Eve. For about 2 weeks I have done a near perfect low carb and that induction energy drop is now gone and I have lots of energy and am just a little tired tonight. I always pick up 2 of those little pony's of champayne and make a fancy crab dip for crackers to have before bed- NO WAY I can make midniht. New Years Day I love eggnog and after my black eyed peas and collards supper I drink a whole qt of the stuff from a little while after supper to bed time. Hoping to make that size 10 by then but we'll see. I am in some 12's now.
The kitties are in and we will all be asleep soon. It is nice to have their little hearts beating along with mine in this house.
It is chicken livers cooked in Spicy V/8 for tomorrows dinner- I love that but I manage my cholesterol by avoiding anything with real high counts. Nice treat though.
Sweet dreams- I will send Mr. Sandman your way soon.
Oh, the postings have been so much fun lately with those events. Thanks!
