Good Wed. am. Thanks Doris.
Just holding my spot.
Doris, I remember bologny and egg sandwiches for breakfast growing up and until I moved to N.Y. Now I want one!

That Camel day seems to roll around so quickly Doris Ha!

I had to enlarge your pic Doris to see what was on the toast. I thought it was some extra lean rolled back bacon. I never knew about Bologna sandwiches, we had something similar in England called black pudding spiced up pigs blood and such in a sausage like Bologna.

Mary, Glad to hear the little fellow has settled into his new home and what a big family. They love to be part of the pack huh?

Nothing too pressing on my agenda for today. Walk in the woods with DD and the dogs, Exercise class and then a meeting at the bank re investments...oh joy!

Waving to all and hope to bbl...

Good morning all...I've got N coming up to clean today, so looking forward to that, it's so nice with the clean smelling home....plumber tomorrow and Friday the lady vets breakfast and later supper with the sisters...I guess I'm getting what I asked for, busy life with people instead of moping around the house.

Doris, I haven't had bologna for years and now you're making me crave fried lunch meat...hmmm. I've pepperoni in the house, so maybe I'll make up some chips. Love 'em nuked 'til they're nice and crispy and as I have some cheese, I'll make the cheese chips, too. Maybe that'll put a stop to the craving.

type y'all later, have a great day folks....

Used to love fried bologna sandwiches. The bologna that is sold in the market today is not the same bologna we grew up with though.

mykneesareback 11-06-2013 11:08 AM

Yeah, Doug, the stuff they put in the sandwiches at the State Fair and at the last function we went to, and at 2 local restaurants, was not like the lunchmeat you buy in the stores, like Oscar Meyer, for example. At the fairs, they had bologna that looked like it was made by someone, dark and thick. I don't eat them, lol, but I fix the simple kind for dh when he gets a "hankering" for one. They don't make bologna in Germany, dh learned to love it while in the Navy..........

Just got back from sending the signed closing papers for the Calif. house, notorized and so forth, and overnighted. The new owners should be signing and recording it by Friday, and we will be free of the house, and the taxes and insurance, too. Fingers crossed, that nothing suddenly "happens"............

That's wonderful news Doris. Another burden crossed off the list.

Getting in here late again.:stars:

Oh Doris, Fried Bologna sandwiches were something I used to LOVE. Now I want one.:o

Wonderful news on the house sale. Got my fingers crossed for you that all goes well.

Hi Lainey, Humm bologna and eggs sounds pretty good to me.

Doug, you are so right. The bologna today is not what we grew up with.

Hi to Lainey, Susan, Mary, Sharon and all who follow.

Great news, Doris. What a relief that will be. Spent morning making eggplant parm for my dinner party Friday.

This afternoon we head to a function for the animal shelter.

Yay, Yay, Yay! Doris

Just got home and it's chilly out there (mid-50s) and supposed to wake up to 40s in the am. So, I fixed a cup of decaf coffee to take the chill off and will eat supper in a little bit.

I remember fried bologna, but never had a strong love for it. It was okay - haven't had any for probably 20 years so I don't know if my taste buds have changed.

Y'all have a good evening and sleep well,

I MET Mary Ann's fella today and my o my he is a catch indeed. Very happy for her. If any one can tell me how to reduce pics sizes I could send their pics and a pic of me and her. The ones she e-mailed me are huge pics we took in my drive way today. Aaunt Jane managed to et herself in one of the ones of her and Danny.
Had the best hamburger I have had in nigh on 65 years- do any of you have "The Cook Out"? It is new here and the double drive thru was packed- the meat was the real deal and under 5.00 plus 1.00 for the choc. shake. 2 sides and I regretted not getting the fries which I bet were special too- went with 2 slaws that were also the best. I fell on that meal like an animal in my kitchen.
Slept this after noon so up late but going back to bed now.
bbt have sweet dreams all.
