TUESDAY'S Roll Call, Nov. 5

Hope we can all have a restful night before Tuesday morning shows up!

Mary, hug your other doggies tight and enjoy them more while you have them, do you have pictures of them?

It's cool enough for the heater tonight, and some snuggies..............

Thanx for the start off, Doris.

Gladys and Sharon....how do you find that blog? Sounds interesting.

Mary, my hat is off to you. IMHO, people who foster shelter animals are saints....except for whoever fostered Red and Blue

The dr thinks my allergies are causing inner ear problems which are responsible for my Ivy spells, so I start a new med tomorrow.

Have a good one, everybody

Love that beautiful Rose Doris How cool does it get in the evening overnight and such? Glad you have a heater and your snugglies.

Babette, sure hope that new med works for your Ivy spells.
Your boys sure are a hand full typical adolescence I guess.

I had a great nights sleep I did take 1/2 a pill, so I feel great this morning.
7 hours straight through. Yeah!
I am picking a GF up from the garage at 11:30 am as she is dropping her car off to get her snow tires put on today. We will go for lunch and she wants to looks at fabric before we meet up with the group for the movies at 2:45pm to see "Last Vegas"
A much fuller and longer day than I feel like. I am tempted to make a coffee but then I do want to sleep again tonight.

Waving to All and hope to check back later...

Good morning. I haven't posted much because there's not much to say. Mostly I sleep. Watch a little TV. Sleep some more. Sunday I did a rare thing and broiled a pork chop and microwaved a sweet potato. Just for myself. Most days I don't eat. Just don't feel like it. Even more so, I don't feel like making anything. I'm the only one who cooks. If I don't cook, I don't eat. Yesterday Rich was here and I made cabbage, ham and potato boiled dinner. The cabbage was so good. It was an easy dinner to fix.

Today, Rich is having the movers bring over all his junk at the old house. I may never leave my room again. Then they are going over to Cathy's to get her furniture. She is finally moving in. I am hiding out just in case something hits the fan over all Rich's junk. I am embarassed to have the neighbors' here see his junk moving in.

It will be nice having Cathy here and a washer and dryer. You don't know how much you miss a modern convenience until you no longer have it. I can't believe we lived without a washer and dryer for over 4 mos.

New puppy, Snoopy, is still not housebroken. The cat, Gypsy, is treating Molly good. She doesn't like other dogs. The cat wants to be with me. The two dogs want to be with me. You'll find me in my bedroom with all the pets laying around with me.

This should hold my spot for a week or so. Hang in there folks. See you next week.

Good morning all...I thought I'd probably mope in bed, just cover my head and try to ignore the world but t'was not to be. I'm up and moving earlier than normal for me...but come to think of it, with DST I frequently got up at this time, it's just standard time that makes it early, so I guess it's just my body saying "get up." Gonna try to get out of the house instead of just moping around so we'll see what kinda trouble finds me.

I do have pictures of my fur kids, but they're on my phone and even tho' I've downloaded the app to transfer them to the 'puter, I can't get it to do so. Every time I click on it, it just wants to download the app, not open like any normal program...so it's a grrrrrrrrr for me. So, I'll keep trying and maybe someday I'll be able to post the pics.

Guess that's it for now, will type ya later. Have a good day folks...and Susan I do remember those days of changing tires when the snow starts flying. We even had the block heater that you plug into the outlet to keep the block of the car from freezing when we were in Alaska. That was one of our biggest surprises when we drove into Fairbanks and the parking meters on the street were equipped with outlets. thanks for memory...ta ta for now.

p.s. Verleen, posting at the same time...good to hear from you and wishing you the best. It's good to hear that Cathy is moving in; it will be good for you....hugs

Good morning all.
Just got back from a doctor visit. Bone marrow test showed nothing out of the normal. White/red blood cell, platelets, counts are normal. We decided I will stay on monthly B12 shots and my next visit is scheduled for February.

Been cold and windy here.

Left the house with DD at 5:30 this morning for her to take the shuttle at 6 to the airport in Orlando. Came back and slept for two more hours. Now it will take me a few days to rest up. We went out every day doing "stuff" including eating out.
I've been keeping up every day on here. Ttyl......

Doug, glad to read your marrow test came out ok, and you need to keep the B12 shots going!! Good thing your doctor will keep an "eye" on you!!

Julie, from the photos I've seen, you look like you have been having a lot of fun with your daughter, it's wonderful she and you could "hang out" together! Good memories! Now, get some rest, lol !!

Later, I'm still doing stuff here, one chore leads to another, somehow. And phone keeps ringing from California today.

This is the arrangement I made for my friend's party tonight and the shelter event tomorrow. Hope the flowers will last. It's a little "busy" but her house is a very Tuscany style. It will not stay on the white tray. Just have it on a tray to protect the car as I am keeping in the garage since I can't fit it in the frige.

Bee-you-you-ti-full Begete. I'm so envious of ladies like you that can create such beautiful arrangements...Hope it lasts for a long time.

Doug, congrats on the good report...it's always nice to get them.

Well, I broke down and called the adoptive family for my little Buddy and he's doing very well....dang it! I halfway was hoping he spent the night crying for me...oh well. I really am glad I called, tho', it seems to be relieving my mind. I found out the family is six children from 12 to two, plus the parents and grand dad...so it's a really good thing. They got him clipped yesterday getting ready for his surgery tomorrow...and the referrals I gave her came up with $$$ to defray the costs of the neutering for Buddy and the spaying for their little girl dog....they've been playing all day I was told. Yep, it was a good thing.

Trip to the casino and booked a small win, so I killed some time and made a little money, too...what a deal!

Hope your day was good as well.

Gorgeous arrangement Babette, what talents you have and a green thumb to boot.

I had a long day picking up DGF at 11:30 am I didn't get back home until just after 6 pm. We browsed the shops, then lunch out, then the movies.
For the movie, there were 5 ladies and 2 men from the hospice group.
It seemed everyone enjoyed the movie. I was expecting more laughter and fun, it was funny in places and very well acted. "Last Vegas."

Our next movie might be 'Diana' Princess of Wales in a week or two.
I also heard Judi Dench is in a new movie called 'Philomena' showing in England this week. My cousin is going to see it tomorrow. I don't think I would be interested in the subject matter.

Mary, feeling for you girl.

Glad to see you post Julie and Verleen.

Sharon, I am going to check out that link after this post.

Waving to All and wishing all a restful sleep and hope to bbt...

Begete, what an assortment of beautiful flowers you have, my goodness! Do you keep several arrangements in your own home, too? I'm impressed!

Susan, glad you got home safely, but tuckered out from all that you had to do. I find movies make me tired, too. Funny or not

Mary, glad you had good news about your doggie having a good time, he will be happy there, you did a good thing, and good for yourself, too, traveling with 3 dogs would be harder for one person to handle. Did that guy from the church look at your motor home yet?

I have been way too busy today, paperwork and stuff trying to close on our Calif. house by this Friday, pain in the buttucks.

I'm new to these message boards and have just started LC way of life about 3 months ago. I'm 63 and feeling better than I have in years and years but my weight doesn't seem to want to move. I'm trying not to be discouraged. I'm no longer starving myself or 'dieting' but gosh, I sure would like to drop about 15 pounds. Maybe at this age it takes years instead of months to take off extra weight? Oh well, it's not like anything else has worked for me? And I'm feeling so good now I've started exercising! That's a new one for me!

Just wanted to connect to the community....

Hi "happy", the stats are your high or starting weight, the middle is what you weigh now, and the last is your goal, realistic or otherwise

I'm going to post tomorrow's Roll Call thread in a little while, please feel free to post on there, everyone else posts early tomorrow morning.....
