Hi Gladys, wondered how you were faring In a way, HOA's tell you more what you can't do, but after the fact, lol. One housing area we looked at in March, wouldn't let you hang hummingbird feeders! That killed it for us, right away.

It's windy here, hoping the humidity goes down now, I'm not used to salt not coming out of the shaker, and the damp feel on clothes from the closet and bedding.

We are going with the kids to a Halloween Carnival, unless plans suddenly change, in which case, we would have to rush to a store for candy or stickers or whatever stuff there is left.

Take care, have a good day, if you feel up to that

Not much Halloween happenings here anymore. All the little kids have grown and left. There are only us oldies left on the block now plus a few college kids. It will be nice and quiet tonight.

Our big event for today is getting some groceries at our favorite natural food store. It's discount day!

Good morning all...sun is shining and comfortable temps, too. and nothing planned for the day so maybe I'll jump back into the closet-cleaning mode as I still have the tops to sort through...sounds like a fun day. I rarely get tricksters at the door so don't plan on turning on the light at all...bah humbug! oops, got my holidays all mixed up....don't you hate the Christmas commercials being on before Halloween? It was bad enough when they started showing up before Thanksgiving. Oh! Just remembered I want to make a run to Costco for some of that kale salad. I've invited the ladies for supper tomorrow night and I want that.

Oh, Doris, I remember that feeling well. When we first moved to Vegas, we didn't return to SoCal for about a year and when we climbed into bed at mom & dad's place, the sheets felt wet we were so dried out. Hope someone has shown you the little tricks of living in a humid climate...the rice in the salt shaker, the little pots of adsorbent to keep the closets a little drier and cutting down on the mold...oh! and be careful of those little critters that get into your flour, cornmeal, etc in the pantry...I've heard bay leaves helps prevent those pesky things.

Well, it looks like only three and half pound loss for the month, oh well. I was sure hoping to be sitting on the cusp of another number if not in the 60's itself. ...it's a loss. We'll see what happens next month.

Have a great day folks, and enjoy your TorT'ers.

How many birds do you have now, Gladys? Lots of cages, or do you have those atrium like bird rooms, set up in the barn? Hope the pouring rain lets off after awhile!

There are clear, blue skies here, but windy, and it's 72 degrees.

Begete, what is the verdict on your motorhome??

They moved Trick or treating here to tomorrow evening because of bad storms and high winds. Hope the Kiddies are safe.

Today at the nursing home we visited some of the staff were dressed up. It got a smile out of me. One gal really looked comfortable in her pajamas, curlers in her hair and a bathrobe.

Been busy most of the time with technology, trying to get printer to work wireless ly. Finally got it.

WELL DONE MARY! A loss is a loss! WTGG!

It could have been the other way gaining like me. My own fault.

Oh my goodness Babette on that bill.
I know you'll get some mileage out of your RV now over the next few years.

It was unusually mild a warm breeze with damp weather. No rain for the goblins but it rained off and on most of the day. Held off for this evening. Funny how it was so warm.

DGD is riding at 8am in the morning at the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto.
I pray she stays on her pony, it is a much bigger ring with all the jumps set out. I will be watching it via live stream on my pc.

Enjoy your evening all and hope to bbt...

Hey everyone.

Splitting headache the live long day today with only some hours under the Percoset 7.5's magic. Now beginning to doubt it being sinuses. Hurts too bad, really-really bad. Migraine I guess. I did some things but nothing to be proud of.
Darkened the house completely as they bring in van loads of kids and that tics me off. The cost is a big factor as well.
Discovered a fab new tv drama to watch "Reign" it is on the CW channel 7 where I am. Oh it is so good- writing, costumes, scenery and the acting is spot on. I put it up there with my beloved one coming back in Jan.
I wonder about your birds too Gladys and how many kitties have you got these days?
Rain and storms tomorrow afternoon and night which is adding body aches to my miserable head. Getting old can be so sucky.
Could not get to sleep last night for hours and hours so hoping to fall asleep real early tonight.
Susan, good luck to your beautiful DGD tomorrow on her pony. I had a room full of ribbons between my son and daughters riding days.
Hate the damp- one place we lived on LI was damp sheets and just awful.
Doris, you are adjusting so well and so quickly- good on you.
Mary, you sure deal with way more than I have to but that does not stop my whining at all.
Linda, I just looked at that Camel ad again... no getting tired of that one. Thanks.
All that I did not mention- Sharon and anyone else... sorry I just gave out and am hitting the old bed.
bbt
e.
Oh, Begete- can't wait to hear of the "boys" RV trial attempt now that those expensive repairs surly make it good to go.
