:high5: Let's have another go at another day, get some errands done, housework finished, or just go out and fool around :o

Begete 10-28-2013 10:46 PM

Tomorrow morning EARLY we take the motorhome in hoping they will finally be able to repair the electrical system.

Then I head for the greenhouse where the garden club will be making hypertufas.

Julie, sorry for your loss.

And as always, thanx for the start, Doris.

Good morning-

Once again, I was up at 4:30. That's okay but I am generally wiped out by late afternoon and have to take a nap. Crazy since dh is a night owl and I'm lucky to make it to 10 pm these days.

Had chemo #3 of 4 yesterday. Hair is falling but I'm not bald - look more like a newly hatched chick. Thank goodness for scarves and wigs - it's cold when you have very little hair on your head!

Will go for my booster shot today. Am still wired on the steroids so I have 2 good days to catch up on housework before I get too tired to do much of anything. Dh is very helpful if I ask him to help but I have to be very specific. For instance, yesterday I asked him to empty the dishwasher, which he did. Did he reload it? No. To me this goes hand in hand, but not him. So later I asked him to please put the dirty dishes in, which he did. Just struck me as funny.

Back to my coffee and some knitting.

Have a good day all.

Good morning. Thanks Doris.
Long, long walk in this morning. Fighting nausea- took a pill for that first thing this morning. The bacon, eggs & chedder should help with that soon.
More back yard (including weed whacking) and laundry today. Rain thursday & friday so inside stuff to get done then.
Gonna go up the burner for my brunch to hurry it along.
Begete, what is that thing you mentioned?

mykneesareback 10-29-2013 09:17 AM

Good to see you posting, Louise, glad you got #3 done, and know how to deal with it for the next 2 days of planning your time well. You are STRONG, and will get through this :high5: I think it's maybe a "man" thing, my dh would do the same thing, just because of not being used to it.

Begete, I sure hope they fix your motorhome properly and you and John can get a few more years of use out of it :aprayer:

Howdy Lainey, I hope you feel better after eating!

We had a fun time last night, after our car battery was replaced!!! Picked up Silas at his school, and then went out to eat, and came back, walked in their nice park area next to the houses, it was dark, but strangely warm, 72 degrees. The dogs liked it, too.

Just doing chores today, a big storm is due tomorrow afternoon, but it's grey and humid now, weird.

Have a good day!

Hey y'all...the rains have left us and are heading your way now. I hear they're expecting quite a snowfall in Colorado from this system. It's clear and cold (yeah! cold....48 degrees. Only SoCal residents complain about a little drop in temperatures). Up early, before sunrise for a quick run through the canyon to the VA for another blood test. My endo is concerned now about my creatine levels and wanted another test run. Sure hope this is another tempest in a teapot as I don't need kidney problems as I went through that with the DH. Oh well, what will be, will be. Now I'm all dressed with no where to go...maybe I'll make a poker run this morning.

Begete, sure hope they get it fixed in one fell swoop...I'm still hoping I can unload mine.

Louise, sounds like you have a good handle on you healthcare fluctuations...hugs for you.

Doris, I think this is the first time you've mentioned the park near your DGS...I wish I were closer to a park, I think it would help me to get out more. And, of course, the higher temps during the winter are going to be nicer for you.

Lainey, hope the bacon, eggs and cheddar helps the nausea...sounds like a good breakfast for me, too.

Time to feed the fur kids and do my other morning ablutions. Hope you all have a great day.

Just running in. Thank you again Doris for our start to each day.

WE are having a lovely Fall day up here, clear blue sky and sunny with cooler temps but pretty trees, lots of leaves flying about.

Got my flu shot this morning so I'm all set for the season.
Just waiting for my surgeons to give me a date now. I am ready! I think! ;)

Louise, You must look so cute as a newly hatched chick.;) Glad you got another one out of the way. Yes, it is funny how men don't think of the next step. They need clear directions huh? :D It is good that he is helping around the house for you.

Waving to All and hope to be back later...

Mary, son has a house in an area with home owners association, so it has a huge park area with walking trails, benches, water going through and playground, that kind of stuff, we walked there every time we visited in the past. We don't have that here, no HOA with these houses.

In the mountains where we used to live, they had to close the highway, a huge boulder rolled down onto the highway in the Feather River Canyon, and a truck came along at 3 am, hit it, truck jack knived, and the poor driver was killed, it burned so badly, the highway was damaged. Sad story, and it happens at least once a year, another reason we moved away, couldn't dare drive that way at night, too many curves, too dark, and suddenly, there stood a huge rock. Sigh.

Wanted to do the bedding wash, dh was napping, so he is up and about now, time to get some stuff pulled and yanked into the machine, these king sized sheets always get the better of me, lol.

Doris, the way I've heard it, the Feather River Canyon was a dangerous drive without the boulders falling on it. My brother's canyon is not as bad, thank goodness. He's determined to remain up there even tho' his health is failing. His girls wish they could get him to move down into Sacto but that will never happen. I think you were smart to get outta town. You're life is so much busier now and I'm sure you both appreciate not having to drive for two hours to get to a doctor or have a blood test taken.

Made the run to the casino as I really needed gas and their's is so much cheaper...I paid $3.45 which is the lowest we've seen here in a very long time. Played a little slots and poker and used up my food money too as that disappears if I don't use it. Still haven't heard from the doc on the blood test, so should be hearing sometime tomorrow plus I go back to the cardiologist for his report, too. I'm, hoping things are well on both fronts.

I'm so full still after lunch, so don't know what I'll have for supper...hope everyone had a good day and good things came your way...type y'all later if I can make it through the evening without falling asleep.
