Thanks for the start, Doris.

One of my kitties has been vomiting all week, but we are not sure which one, though we think it is Red, so today we took them to the vet. She took blood from Red and we should get results Saturday.

Thank you Doris for our start out.

It's been some quiet days here for today and tomorrow.

I'm so sorry for Rich and his grief. Verleen I'm thankful you have your daughter with you.

The mail brought us our orders today. D got his binoculars and I got my couple kitchen toys that I'll be trying out tomorrow.

Time to shut down and head for the pillow. See everyone in the morning.

Evenin' folks. We went shopping today at the dollar store and the new super Walmart. I got the bubble wrap for the nativity pieces and all the bedding, except for pillows for the guest room. Whew. Pretty expensive.

The man pruned our shrubs and did a nice job. Charged us just $125. He plans to do it twice a year - late spring and early fall.

The last two days were too much for me.

Tomorrow I will work on putting away the nativity pieces. And working on the plants on the porch. The night time temps have been dropping into the 30s and we need to bring them in soon. We got a gardenia in the mail today from my dd2, Anita and her family. To express their sorrow over our losing Max.

Niters. Can hardly keep my eyes open.

Thanks for the start off, Doris.

Happy you got a better deal on the shrub pruning, Verleen. It pays to shop around.

Have fun with your new kitchen toys, Sharon.
Heading off to bed myself.

Gladys, Yumm on the crab legs and wonderful on the slots.

Sure hope your cats are ok, Babette. Cats do seem to vomit a lot from hair balls.
Night all.

Good Saturday morning... thank you Doris.

Feels so odd to have the feeling of pants on my thighs and knees. Very cool this morning so I thought I'd go ahead and put on some "to the ankles" pants and a cropped top- bought pants at the thrift store this summer but the top is ancient from N.Y. SCUBA days. Pants do need a belt though- got plenty of those.
Started on the weed whack of my fence to curb strip yesterday and Mary Anne called almost immediately for our walkies and we did 6 track arounds- LOVED IT! Now waiting for the grass to dry so I can hit all the yards with the whacker.
She did not bring "Missy" this time and it did go a bit... well, better but "Missy" sure does love those long walks but Mary Anne ends up carrying her too much. I would take turns carrying her but she is insistent on Mary Anne "only". None of her family will babysit her because of her being so spoiled and even I think she better get at least a little training for her.
bbl "Y'ALL have a super Saturday today. I was coughing and a scratchy throat this morning and the AM Weatherman said the pollen count was off the chart and is causing people to cough and have a scratchy throat. HA! love it!

Good Morning All,

Hope all is going well at your house. Verleen, So sorry to hear of your loss. Like others have written, I'm so glad that Cathy is there to support you both.

The plans for today include the usual errands: post office, dry cleaners, grocery store, and gym. Then some housework and an evening of Netflix - just a simple day for me!

It's so funny to hear that some of you are enjoying autumn weather and cooling temps already. Unfortunately, it's still upper 90s here.... would love to wear some other outfits, especially as traveling season is close by. Suits, hose, and heels in that heat is not fun! On the other hand, I'm happy to have the job and enjoy seeing new places and meeting new people.

Waving to all - Enjoy your day,

Michele

Good morning all...nuttin' much planned here, too...just trying to stay cool. I'm with you, Michele, glad to hear that some are starting to get cooler weather. At least we know it's coming sometime. We're hitting triple digit temps again....that high pressure area that's keeping us warm seems to bounce back and forth between Texas and the four corners area so we can expect hot temps for quite a while. We are having tropical storms coming up th coast so if we're not getting the monsoonal flow from the gulf, we're getting it from Baja.

The rotten spot they cut from my thigh yesterday is pretty large and was really itching last night so I put the anti stuff on it and made sure the bandage was secure. I slept a bit better last night but it was up and down most of the night...maybe I'll not go to the carneceria again, or at least very soon.

Have a great day folks and I'm looking forward to cooler weather. enjoy today

So solly Mary...

as one that by now sleep walks from my bed to the toidy several time most nights I totally relate. Best anti itch OTC ever is the Aveeno stuff. Dupracaine or something spelled kinda like that is the very best Rx ointment but insist on multiple tubes as it comes in small ointment tubes. The Aveeno Anti Itch nails a insect bite with one application and even amonia or vinegar will not do that. Their daily moisturizer is excellent with a noticible difference and their sun screen 30 is so elegant and WORKS! Guess I am "The Aveeno Lady" and I never endorse nothing!
BACK to the yard work!
"I WANT CANDY" or a cookie or two would do.

Just getting here as I worked today, was very busy but I like a challenge. I just walked the dog and had my supper so I am a happy camper now ready to settle down with the TV.

Waving to everyone and hope to bb tomorrow... to all needing them right now.

Everyone has been so busy today, vet appts., errands galore, going here and there, and exercising, since the weather is changing in some areas. That is great, as Mary says, at least Fall is somewhere out there in the great beyond.

Michele, I can't imagine wearing hose now, or even SHOEs, oh my, been wearing thongs since the day we left California. heh heh, threw my shoes away at a truck stop on the trip here. Glad you got your usual stuff done.

Verleen, how nice of your other daughter and family to send the Gardenia, and they are all sorrowful for you, and I'm thankful, too, that Cathy is there to help you and Rich. How is he doing today?

We left the house early, went to the "kids" place, and they drove us to Grapevine Mills, a huge outlet mall, you walk by all the stores in a large circle. Daughter in law wanted to hit the sales, and she found some good ones, I just looked, but bought a bubble set at the Dollar store, ha ha. We ate at Rainforest Café, and walked some more. By the time we got back to their house it was 3 pm, but on the way home, stopped at Lowe's and bought that Magnolia tree dh has been pining for, and a Black Diamond Crepe Myrtle.
Came home and took a nap, for pete's sakes, wore us plumb out.

Enjoy your evening tonight, friends, watching the Telly or whatever.

Waving at all of you, but too tired to post more, getting old!!

Good evening.

Doris, Rich seems to be better today. He's back to treating me miserably...lol. I'd rather have that than his horrible depression.

I'm having some gfs come over for lunch on Tuesday. I hope I'm up for it. Monday, I'm having my hearing tested.

Babette, I hope your kittens are okay.

Gladys, I'm envious. I love crab meat too.

Sharon and Michelle, thank you for your thoughts.

Doris, did you really throw your shoes away?

I'd better head for bed. Tired and I have alot to do tomorrow. Take care everyone.

Yes, Verleen, I'd been wearing some black flats during the whole moving process, day in and day out, stepping into holes in the back yard and what not, so, in Arizona at the first truck stop, I found a pair of thongs that looked comfortable, bought them, sat in the car to put them on, and tossed my shoes into the garbage out front, to the amazement of some truckers sitting there. Just too hot to wear anything else. I sure hope you can enjoy lunch with your friends on Tuesday!!!

Good Night!

Doris, Can't blame you for tossing those shows and wearing thongs.
Love my Crocs sandles. You should try some.

Verleen, Good to hear Rich is back to somewhat normal and not so depressed.

Hope you can have a good lunch with the girls.
