EXERCISE WEEK, Sept. 1 - Sept. 7

Can you believe I have to look at a calendar to figure out the dates, lordy, where has my brain gone?

Let's DO it, DO something, even walk backwards if we have to, friends. I'm finding going sideways helps lately, and no, I don't drink a drop of anything marinated for a long time.

I even posted on the wrong day, lol!

We wound up walking after all, up and down the back alley, due to power going out, and it was a way to meet neighbors, most of them have lived here for years and years, and are as old as us.

Weight bar, 5 lb. weights. squats in the kitchen, during dh's nap

Walked all over a plant nursery after dinner, we hadn't realized how many plants we can actually grow here, because it's warm, and no deer to eat the stuff, lol.

Wonder what became of Ron?

See you all tomorrow!

Walked with John 3.5 miles.
Exercise workout upper and lower body 30 min.

We wound up doing our laps at Lowe's, on the way back from the doctor appt., plus stopped at Kroger's for a few groceries since kids will be coming to eat tomorrow night. But that's it for today.

Loretta, when we were at that nursery, there were so many plants that we used to keep in the kitchen window back in the mountains, that you can keep outside now, all the time, lol. We had to laugh at that!

Susan, lifting soil is like shoveling snow, not a lot of fun, but a darned lot of exercise..........

Did squats in the living room, looking out the windows at the peopleless neighborhood, they all head out through their garages!

Weight bar and 6 lb. weights and no walking today, seeing if my ankle feels better. That's it for today. Kids will be here, so need to straighten up.

No snow shovelling done here Doris, in fact, I just prepaid my snow removal contract, the best thing ever. They do the double driveway all Winter sometimes twice a day. I have to shovel the walkway so that is a bit of exercise I guess.
At least you guys won't have that this Winter huh? Another Bonus for you!

Got the job done with an early start today. 3.8 miles. Workout as usual.

How far does that alley go Doris. When I lived in the suburbs of Ill we had an alley behind one of our houses. there.

Hi everyone. I may not have checked in but I have been on the low low carb wagon as well as working out this week. So far...lots of dog walking, 2 jogs, one spin class, one yoga class and off to another spin class in about 10 minutes. THEN...the Bronco's are on against the evil Ravens!

Ron, even back in the "old" day, people knew the truth Reality bites!

My computer is having weird things going on again, I don't know if it's old age, or Time Warner or what, I used to think our Frontier service in Calif. was causing it, but it wasn't so.........

Did manage the walk but have yet to exercise. Don't see that happening because of free movies this weekend on HBO.

Went to the doctor this AM, recheck, the xray shows I have a heel spur, so this doctor is referring me to an orthopedist who will either put me into a boot for awhile, or give me some special shot that is supposed to take the pain away, they will call me on Monday with the appt. info. Maybe I can walk quickly and sprint around again some day after all!!

After that, dh and I went to lunch, then to Wal Mart and walked all over that huge store, looking at plants and and everything in between, tvs, put in a camera to develop, etc. It was already very hot. Then stopped at Lowe's again, for more stuff to fill cracks on the back patio and the driveway. Walked all over that place, too, one end to the other, lol, we forget something and have to go back. But that's it for today, I'm supposed to "rest" my foot, it ain't happening.

Doris I am happy to hear that there is a plan in the offing for your foot. Hope you are pain free soon.

Walk and workout. Never did make it to the workout yesterday. If I don't do it first thing in the morning it most likely won't get done.

Loretta, you are sure right about it not getting done if not done right away, we are trying to get ourselves to rise earlier, like we did in Calif. The day seems to just "fly by".

We walked that Grapevine Mills Mall all over the danged place, dil loves to check out many stores and knows her way around, we just try to enjoy and keep Silas occupied, along with our son, of course. It's an eye opener to be out and about, so many people, etc. Lucky the Mall is air conditioned, that is for sure. That's all I did, the walking, my ankle was sort of swollen when we got home, and sore, but napping helped. I'm hoping this doctor can fix it with that shot everyone talks about.
