Some people
try to turn back their odometers.
Not me!
I want people to know why
I look this way.
I've traveled a long way
and some of the roads weren't paved.

That is how life works. But I'll take it regardless. There are plenty of good days along the way too.

Have a safe holiday and a great week.

Loretta, are you having scads of rain or showers, our weather report showed Kentucky stuck in a huge, green, blob, covering a lot of the East coast, in fact! Wish we could get some of that.

See yah tomorrow!

Susan, is that red Thai sauce the curry sauce that comes in a packet, envelope like thing? I bought some, but gave it to my neighbor before we moved. Just wondering..............we like it in a restaurant, but not sure if it tastes as good at home.

Tuesday's foods UD

Well, it was supposed to be an up day, but I didn't eat that much. I may make tomorrow one to restart the rotation....just not that hungry today.

B. coffee/milk, NS O cereal, and I added a half cup of Cheerios to the mix, three strawberries, milk...no pills.

L. Chinese food, but only a half cup of string beans and a few shrimp...lots of tea, tho'.

S. brought out the leftovers which everyone else ate but Niece had brought some veggies from her garden so I ate a heirloom tomato (fantastic) a cucumber and a few small peppers...arnold palmer and lots of water...I think I got a bit dehydrated today.

700 kcals

Thanks, Susan! The Chinese meal was very good, took most of it home anyway, but the chicken was cooked nicely, they had fresh noodles, fresh veggies still crisp, and just had the ice tea. dh had shrimp on some fresh cabbage shreds and other crisp veggies in that, he finished all of his meal, though.

See everyone tomorrow!

Tuesday's foods UD

Looks like I mislabeled my last entry...that was Monday, this is Tuesday...still recovering and didn't do a darn thing except cook up the veggies into that lovely ratatouille...didn't eat a bite of it, tho', had some veggies which were on the outer edge of good. Had more leftovers but still couldn't eat that much except the cornbread was delicious...added a half an ear of corn which had been leftover...didn't have any jalapenos for it.

B. coffee/milk, scrambled eggs, pork sausage and a lovely large heirloom tomato..nothing like vine-ripened tomatoes, crystal light for the pills.

s. some leftover chinese food..one shrimp, and four pieces of lemon chicken.

S. cornbread, kale, and one spare rib...

s. half a cup of Dreyers and a cuppa decaf.

1300 kcals...carried away on the cornbread

L: Sara Lee bread sandwich, light laughing cow cheese, turkey. grape tomatoes. some black olives iced coffee

Doris, I found another Oktoberfest right near you that's coming up in Addision, Texas (about 30 minutes away). This is one you all could enjoy and not have to spend money on a hotel. Just thinking of ya!

Thanks, Michele, I've written down the dates for dh to think about, it would be some fun for the kids, too, since it isn't too far away!! Thanks!! daughter in law likes to look for family things for us to do on a weekend.
There is a small Oktoberfest even in downtown McKinney, where we still haven't actually gone to yet. I think it's at the very end of this month.

I had smoked turkey on a salad, but the sauce and pico de gallo was so darned hot, it made my throat shut, lol. I had to scrape the pico de gallo away, it was pure Jalopeno in there, and not Anaheim chili pepper, lol. Live and learn! There were several other senior couples in there, too, having early dinner, the restaurant was glad to have us, they were all very nice and respectful, later on the place goes wild with sports bar stuff and young folk.
