Good evening/ morning and Thanx for starting us off, Doris.

Sharon....looking forward to a report on steaming eggs, and if that really results in getting the shells off any easier. If so, please provide instructions

Linda, where did you camp this time?

Getting ready to watch Masterpiece theatre and turn in for the night. Spent day gardening and grocery shopping.

Have a good one.

Good Morning, Gladys, I'm getting the 2nd load into the dishwasher after last nights, just now, also. Finally going to go have my "real blonde" put back in, and some hair cut off this AM. dh is doing Lowe's, and then we head home and stay put, heat wave week, and high humidity too.

Have a good day!

G'Morning All,

Coolish morning up here too but heat will rise as the day progresses.
It is quite overcast so not sure what its going to do.
DD called to see if I would walk with them in the woods today, not sure what time yet.

Thank you as always Doris for our thread starts. Sounds like a lot of dishes there to wash. Do like the Greeks and smash them all. Hah!
We had a Greek Festival here all last week and they smashed lots of plates, really does save on washing up.

Gladys, great to see your post and that you can type much easier now with the keyboard fix. I should send DGD and DD to help you with those stalls.

Welcome Back Linda, sounds like you had a good time with one week not being enough.

Michele, Just Loved the pic of your boy. He has a furever smile on his face huh?

Babette, Did you enjoy Silk last night? I recorded it. I think I may have seen that series before on the local TV Ontario channel. Too bad Inspector Lewis and young Morse are over. I really enjoyed those shows.

Waving to All and special prayers and hugs for those needing them.

Susan, we ended up recording what was on last night and catching up on Endeavor Morse. Was that actor the same guy who played young Sherlock Holmes?

and for Lainey:

Good morning all...don't know if our weather has made the national/international news but we're caught in the remnants of tropical storm Ivo and have been having the typical thunderstorms, flooding and fools trying to go in the cars where they shouldn't. One fool had his semi get caught in one flash flood....of course, it was on a Sunday when the fools were coming back to L.A. from the river, so even more were impressed with mother nature. More of that today and my area is supposed to be in the line-o-fire...will let you know how that goes.

We're wishing some of the deluge would be over the rim fire at yosemite...but that's not to be...only 7% contained and, like someone said, San Fran's water source is being endangered as well.

Finally gave up on my cable service and have Direct coming this afternoon to change services....dang! have I said how much I hate change? if not, I hate changes....but I guess life is full of them, and we just have to put up with 'em. I've missed so much of what I've paid for (CBS/Showtime/another local channel) has been embargoed all month by TMC...I'd better get some sort of refund for this month when I turn in my cable box...and believe me a long lteer has been sent to TWC.

Doris, I've been saying that I just returned to my natural hair color...I was a tow-head as a child. But, I've been thinking of going back to my natural brown but my color is so purty the hair dresser keeps talking me out of it every time I bring it up.

Waving at all and wishing you a great day....(sure hope the weather is good enough the guy will be not afraid to climb the ladder to plant my dish on the roof)

Yeah, Mary, I hope the dish goes up quickly, it usually doesn't take much time at all.........one reason we kept our Dish since 1986, once dh got used to the channel numbers, he wasn't about to switch to Direct and have to relearn them all, lol.

That's a funny cat "caption", Begete.

Susan, hope you get to walking through the woods today, sounds lovely!

The hairdresser was good, I liked her, she is the manager/owner of the "Style America" salon, it's a chain, but I'd never heard of it before.

Saying prayers and good thoughts for our friends undergoing tests and doctor visits this week. Verleen, are you around lately, too?

I'm having a terrible time getting my posts to post! Have lost all in the past few days. Sorry!

It was cool this morning. It felt so strange!

Seems after the terrible bout of diverticulitis I had last week I now have a chest cold. I also have a case of laryngitis. Maggie asked me if I had snot in my throat. I said it must be something like that. She tapped my forehead and said snot belongs up here Nanny. They are so funny our kids.

DD birthday is this week and mine will follow in 2 more. We are going out Wednesday to celebrate.

I have to get a renewed Drivers License. Have to take all the stuff like it was for a brand new license these days. So I made the trip to the bank box to get out the paperwork. Guess it would be better to have it all than have to go back.

Ya'll enjoy this cooler weather. I know I am.

Anne

I've never done this before so it's a test. Alton Brown and hard boiled eggs.

I'll never do mine any other way now. The eggs were delicious and didn't stick.

Sharon, is it still 12 minutes, even if you do 6 eggs, or do you add a minute?
I just want to do them simply, I usually use a little pot that I've had for 38 yrs., just for eggs, but here in TX, it doesn't work as well as it has all of these years. Wonder if it's the altitude or something? I'll find a different pot and try it this way, but I do 6 at a time. How do you do a soft boiled egg, the same way, less time?

Babette, Love the Kitty with his hand up. I have copied that one for my cat loving friends. That is Hilarious!
You might enjoy Silk it is law and such, up your street so to speak.
Not sure about the actor in Endeavour. I just know that he is not John Thaw our original Morse. RIP.

Doris, Yes, I got the walking done with DD, DS and Billy the dog, so a family walk and talk. I walked ahead of them as the pathway is narrow. I could hear them chatting behind me, made me feel good, out with the "kids" Hah!
Enjoy your coiffure while you can. It is our little treat to ourselves, good for the soul.

Mary, hope you stay out of that line of fire. Do you have any place to escape to in case you have to leave quickly? Yes, that would be great if the heaven's opened on Yosemite and put out that fire.

Hi Anne, sorry to hear you now have a chest cold. You might want to explain to dear little Maggie that the lungs are inside your chest not your head. Hah! Out of the mouths of babes huh? Glad you managed to post.

Sharon, Great clip. I think you will have us all trying this out. Thanks for sharing.

Really overcast outdoors and humid, so I expect some thunder bumpers soon to clear it all up.

Waving to All and hope to check back...

I did 6 eggs when I did mine. 12 mins no matter the amount. I just made sure there not sitting on each other. It was so nice to peel them without any sticking shell.
