SUNDAY's Roll Call, Aug. 25

OKee Dokee, friends, wishing everyone a pleasant Sunday.
We grandparents had fun at the carnival, with grandson at his day-pre-school whatever they call it now, lots of kids, music, games, and quite frankly, we are POOPED !! It was awfully hot, too, but pooped from standing and walking around everywhere. But oh well, it was sure fun anyway.

See you all in the morning!

Good morning and thanks Doris.

Holdin my place in line.
Ate some hamburger helper and will toss the unopened second box in the trash. Very, very sick night all night. Finally remember what Gladys said about bk soda and stumbled into the kitchen and sipped some and was OK the rest of the night.... slept from 6: ish (after a very long walk with Mary Ann & "Missy") till 6: ish today.
Went to my parents fav. farm stand with Mary Anne and she proceeded to tick every one there off and then wondered why they were rude to her. Good Lord, just buy your fruits and veggies and smile a lot so the men will help you pick the very best stuff out. SHE is waaaay more YANKEE (Penn.) than I ever became. Course to Yankees that is not rude but in Old Virginny- oh yeah! Went across the street to a really seedy old thrift/flea market that was so crammed that you really could not see anything and would need several hours to peruse the joint... I intend to go back alone and do just that. Tons of books that looked brand new but the place was soooo oppressive you couldn't even think enough to pick up a few. They also have auctions every Monday.... hmmm NO, NO. I would be too weak for that.
Anyhew, Thanks to Gladys I a fit as the fiddle this morning and want to take a donation to Good Will and they change their sale items on Sundays so I'll shop a bit as well.
Y' allins have a good day.
e.

Thank You to Doris again!

I love farmers market produce enjoy it while you can Babette.

Wow! Lainey, sounds like you have found an interesting place to browse. Another woman's junk is another woman's treasure huh? It is good to check it all out huh? That was a great long walk with your friends. Glad to hear your tummy is A1 today.

Nothing much happening here today. I am having a nice quiet day, the way I like it. Just Me and my thoughts at my pace...slow speed. Hah!

DGD was competing in a show again this morning at 8am. This grandma was not there of course. I was just rising at that time. So they will be there for most of the day.
DS has gone to his Unity church and is helping with something there this afternoon.
I have lots of laundry out drying in the sunshine. If I get a wave of energy I may just start on sorting the paper pile again. Hah!

Wishing Everyone a pleasant Sunday and Hugs and Prayers for all needing them.

Hi Everybody,

Saw a 'C-' movie last night (Elysium), but enjoyed the company just the same.

Today's plan is clean up around the house and then meet some friends for dinner. We all enjoy hatch chiles and its that time of year. So we'll be enjoying everything 'hatch' tonight.

Hope you all enjoy your day - BBL,

Michele

Good morning gang,
My darling DGD change my monitor and that did the trick. Now I wonder if that was what was wrong with the old computer.
I love my I-Pad but like typing on a regular key board.
Not much going on here today,DS came and cleaned my run-in, in the barn with his little tractor. That's a big help.
Michele, how is your little happy boy, everytime I see his picture I have to smile.
Doris, glad you are enjoying the baby and all the nice stores in your area.
Begete, enjoy your lazy days, mine are all like that and I love it.
Lainey, I keep a bottle of tums next to my bed for during the night, taste a little better than soda.lol
Mary, love hearing about your pups,Little dog here has been having male friends here hoping but she is kept under lock and key,no pups for this old lady but one of the boys would be my pick if I was younger,he is tiny with black and white spots.Need to take her to vet for a little surgery when it cools down.
Susan, would love to see your baby ride, bet that is too cute.It would have to be an afternoon ride for me.lol
Just started raining, but it stopped as fast as it started.

Hi Mary, I'm joining the troglodyte lifestyle too.

Thanks Michele for your review of that movie. Saved me sitting through that.
RED 2 is still playing I may suggest that to my group of friends for our next movie. Did you see We are the Millers yet? Just wondering about that one too for a laugh. Enjoy the "hatch" chillies what ever they are. Hah!

Thank you Doris for our Start off..

Just getting ready to start my day. It was shear bliss sleeping in this morning. We have nothing in our freezer so it's going to be a Costco run for meats and whatever we can find. I will need to visit a couple of other markets like Trader Joe's before we come home.

Had a single serving of old fashioned oats then added a scoop of Jay Robb protein powder in it. It was tasty and filling along with my cups of coffee.

We will be checking back in later. Have a nice Sunday all.

Finally getting home after a very nice week away. Unfortunately one week is NOT enough.

Doris, bet it was a fun time at the carnival with little Silas and his friends.

Babette, nice to have the farmer's market stay open until Mid October. Our big Amish one stays open until Oct. 15.

Oh Lainey, your Mary Ann needs to learn some southern hospitality. Hope she picks up some nice southern manners soon.

Susan, sure hope you enjoyed your nice, quiet day.

LOL Michelle, LOVE the "school" picture of the pups.

Mary, there is not one thing wrong with being a troglodyte LOVE that lifestyle myself.

Sharon, did you spend a fortune at Costco stocking up?

Gladys, does your I pad have blue tooth? If so,just get a blue tooth keyboard. My little Samsung has one.

Nice to be at my own desktop computer again, even though laptops and tablets are fun.

Waving to everyone else

We had a lot of fun spending money at Costco. Fortunately we just did that one place instead of the other ones. We noticed from the bill that we came out about even when we foraged for our needs in one place.

Now I'm going to try steaming some eggs to hard boiled stage for snacks for the week. I found Alton Brown's video on how to do it and looks easy. He claims they will be easy to peel so I'm going to test it out.

See you later.

Lainey I tried his version of hard boiled eggs and won't do them any other way. They peeled without sticking and just delicious.
